The green plains turned crimson with blood. Hundreds, if not thousands, of potion bottles spread all over the battlefield. Miraculously, some of them remained intact even with the harsh battle conditions. Ed and his companions' equipment had long lost its original color. They turned red from the blood and all other viscous fluids that came out with their injuries.
How long did they fight for? They truly didn't know. Ed was the only one keeping watch of time. He needed to know when 24 hours would pass since his first use of his Berserk skill. Thus, he kept asking the system for a time update every once and a while.
The others didn't care about the time. They simply turned their switch on and focused solely on the battle. Merry and Suika were, arguably, working the hardest. Not only were they attacking the dragon, but they healed anyone that got injured. The only exception was Ed, who could handle injuries with his Regeneration.
'How much time?' Ed asked the system in his mind. His mouth was too busy panting and catching a breath, to talk.
[Two more hours. You can turn in into twelve minutes, but that's not your goal now, right?]
'Yeah. I'm reserving that for something else.' Ed, right after receiving the answer, flew towards the dragon.
The dragon, although fighting multiple opponents at once, did not lose its QI. It received many injuries, but it was in better shape compared to the individuals fighting it. Raikou was doing more than his body could handle. Each time, he went into his Shadow-Lightning mode, and he pinned the dragon down, allowing the others t unleash their attacks. But, due to the high strain on his body, repeating it many times started to take its toll on him.
Merry and Suika's healing didn't do work, and Ed's potions weren't recovering all of his QI. Still, Raikou didn't stop attacking and kept going on.
Goburou used his Hatsu to make two copies of himself. The copies were responsible for intercepting the dragon's laser breath. Since they were made of blood, they could reform themselves even after being hit. Garu assisted the copies by creating mountains of ice that blocked the laser breaths' initial attack.
Sieg chose not to summon any Dullahans, as they would be easy targets for the dragon. Instead, he focused on using his magic to attack. That, he had confidence in.
Mehen used his enormous body to block any physical attack the dragon tried to make. His scales, which were reinforced by QI, proved to be more than a match for the dragon's claws and fangs. However, he never attacked even once. As if he was biding his time, waiting for a chance to come.
Gobuta and WarGreymon were the ones doing the highest amount of damage. They never stopped attacking. No matter how many times they were sent, plummeting down to the ground, they always stood back up and counter-attacked.
The fight was not going to end anytime soon.

'How much time?!'
[30 minutes left.]
Ed started to lose his cool. Raikou collapsed in front of him after using up every little ounce of strength he had. He was the one keeping the group from losing to the dragon, and now he was gone.
"Thee timeth is anon!" the dragon rose high into the sky. His whole body straightened up, and then slowly started to turn into a circle. He didn't stop until his mouth met up with his tail. Ed remembered the mark of the infinite dragon, Ouroboros.
His whole body started to shine, as QI left it. The QI that came out of his body gathered up in a single point, the middle of the circle. Then, like a wave of pure light energy, the QI was released.
"Gobuta, your darkness!" Ed shouted as he flew towards the beam of light. Gobuta's body started to ooze out black fumes, and as he flew towards the light as well, the darkness enveloped his whole body. The darkness connected with the light, and neither of them could advance. That, allowed Ed to redirect the incoming attack with his space magic. He redirected it towards the dragon.
"Imp'rtinence!" the dragon bellowed as he was injured by his own attack. But, he wasn't the only one. As before redirecting the attack, Ed made contact with the light and lost his hand in the process.
"You guys, I don't even care about the earth at this point! Like in the tower, hold him off for fifteen, no, ten minutes! I'm counting on you!" Ed said as he kicked the dragon out of his dimension. He also let the others leave one by one, leaving only him inside.
Emilia noticed the change in the scenery but didn't react since she knew what happened. She continued to watch the battle from afar. Suddenly, in front of her, Raikou appeared. Raikou could barely move, yet he still refused to collapse on the ground. His eyes remained fixed on the dragon. He wanted to tear it apart, but couldn't.

"WarGreymon, take me above!" Mehen said as he reduced his body size. WarGreymon complied as he held the small serpent in his hand and flew above the dragon. "Throw me at him." Mehen's words surprised his comrade, but he still followed through.
Mehen dropped on top of the dragon, which was too busy fighting off Garu, Gobuta, and Sieg. Then, as he grew in size, he started to twist around the dragon. The dragon reacted too late, as Mehen had gotten hold of him.
Mehen started to constrict around the dragon, and both of their scales broke due to the pressure. Mehen opened his mouth wide and bit the dragon's neck. The two colossal bodies fell towards the mountain, causing a great thud.
The dragon threw off Mehen after a great struggle and reclaimed his spot in the sky. He was getting worried and started to randomly throw laser breaths away. His worry was, of course, the missing Ed.
After ten minutes passed, almost no one could move among Ed's companions. They were fighting by willpower alone.
"Worry not, I will send you to hell. And soon after, I'll let your master follow after you!" the dragon said as he released a laser breath towards the un-moving group. Suddenly, a gigantic mountain of ice appeared, blocking the breath, which had gotten weaker since the start of the fight. It was Emilia who had intervened.
"I wasn't planning on getting you involved at all. I guess this is all my fault." Ed appeared out of thin air and stood right next to Emilia. His cultivation spiked to Immortal Establishment level 6. His hand had regenerated. And, he held a fully charged Shusui in his right hand, along with a fully charged Ame-No-Murakumo in his left one.
"You want to send us to hell, but worry not, I will send to Nirvana!" Ed appeared in front of the dragon in an instant.
"Nirvana Blade!" The two-sword style version of Ed's Providence Blade was unleashed in its entire power. In an instant, the dragon, along with the air, ground, and the skies behind it disappeared in a flash of light.
That was Ed's entire strength. That was Ed's entire KI. That was Ed's last hope of defeating the dragon.
