The little priest froze, staring openly at the man.
The young man smiled and sat up. The blankets fell away from his body. “What is it?”
Xiao Daoshi came out of his daze. Xiao Daoshi’s face turned red, “Who are you? Why are you naked?”
The young man, “Have you seen sunflowers wear clothes?”
As soon as he heard the word ‘sunflower’, Xiao Daoshi was scared.
The young man saw Xiao Daoshi’s reaction, “Don’t be afraid.”
Xiao Daoshi prepared himself to fight, “You, are you a monster?”
The young man openly confessed, “Yes.”
Xiao Daoshi became more alarmed, “What are you doing here?”
The young man’s face turned dark, “To suck out your spirit.”
Xiao Daoshi’s hands instantly searched the bed for the sword that he would placed there each night, but came up empty.
With a wave of the young man’s hand, the sword that Xiao Daoshi was looking for appeared in the young man’s hand. “You left too quickly last night. This fell in the sunflower patch.”
Xiao Daoshi received the sword from the young man with shaking hands, then pointed it at him, “I, I will destroy you for the good of the citizens!”
The young man let out a huff of laughter, “You don’t need to be afraid of me. I was just trying to scare you. I won’t suck out your spirit.”
Xiao Daoshi, “You’re just trying to trick me!”
The young man stepped off the bed, completely naked. “It’s true. I’m going to go sunbathe in the yard for a bit, after which I will be satisfied.
