Chapter 2272: Tricked?

Tang Shaoyang thought Sox would be troubled to merge the two packs since Somi was oblivious of his presence. However, it went smoothly as Somi accepted his proposal.

He could see them cuddled. Somi caressed her head against Sox’s neck as they watched the Demonification process together. It seemed like it was the tradition for pack leaders to mate with another pack leader of their kind.

Somi’s pack was smaller in number, one hundred and eighty-three Demonic Calamity Fox. Combined, he had four hundred and seventeen Demonic Calamity Fox. Their threat level might be on the same level as Rank 10 or even Rank 11 Calamity.

Sox and Somi were at least Rank 9 Calamity, but he couldn’t be sure until he fought them. They might be Rank 10 Calamity. It was really hard to determine the rank based on just the aura.

Zara finished setting up the portal. He was about to send Sox and Somi to Arnain, but he realized that he needed someone to guard the portal gate.

Ten minutes after the Skeleton Army left, the domain at the peak of the mountain exploded. A massive shadow fell and landed a hundred meters away from where Tang Shaoyang was.

Malki shot down from the sky, landing next to Tang Shaoyang with a bow. Jet appeared from the dark shadow, drifting in the sky. The two Phoenix were circling above the giant calamity, and Zephyr came down on his shoulder again.

Tang Shaoyang quickly checked on the calamity, and he asked on the way there, "How is it? Is it really Rank 11 Calamity?"

"Not really, close to Rank 11, but one of the strongest Rank 10. I would say it’s Rank 10.5."

That was not the end of it, as the third wing started to take shape as well. The bird now had three pairs of wings, looking majestic, and it fit well with the longer tail.

The transformation was not over as the horn started to grow. It started to grow above its eyes. At first, he thought it was just a strip of feathers, just like the owl, but it was a horn, as it was solid and white. The pair of horns grew outward, then curved backward, growing longer as they reached its neck, almost passing the neck.

That was the end of the outer transformation, but he could feel that his energy was still working inside its body. The transformation was not over yet; its three pairs of wings started to release something.

At first, the wings released black mist, then the black mist started to change into black snow. The change was slow and gradual until its wings continuously released black snow. The extra Chaos Energy settled inside the bird as it stopped transforming.
