When Adam forcefully entered the portal in front of thousands of onlookers, chaos erupted almost immediately. His actions did more than showcase his strength.
They sparked fear.
The Soaring River Secret Plane was meant to be sealed from outside interference. No one from outside
and no one above the Mana Foundation
Rank - could enter it once the portal closed.
Yet Adam had done exactly that.
To the crowd gathered, the implication was terrifying.
A possible Mana Core Magus was now inside the secret plane, where hundreds of young talents were undergoing trials.
These children were the future of the Empire. If someone of Adam's level chose to wreak havoc within, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Within moments of the portal collapsing, communication artifacts lit up across the square.
Urgent messages were dispatched to the great academies, noble Magus houses, the Four Great Pillars, and even the Acadian Royal Family.
A potential threat had breached the secret plane.
And he appeared no older than a late teenager!

Saratoga Castle.
At the highest point of the castle, within the quiet confines of the Headmaster's Office, Nylian Feno stood by a tall arched window.
A letter hovered before him, its contents projected by a distant voice that seemed to have come from within the envelope.
As he heard the report detailing the events in Glassford, the forced entry, the collapsing portal, and the unknown Mana Core Magus inside the secret plane, his expression darkened.
His fingers tightened slightly behind his back. Several promising students from Saratoga had entered the secret plane, after all.
The elf gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowing.
It has been quiet for so many years since the Battle of Ravenfell, he thought with a grim look on his face as he gazed at the distant Marian Lake.
Has the time of peace finally ended?
The door to the chamber opened with a long, drawn-out creak. A tall, elderly man stepped inside. Despite his age, his build was broad and muscular, his posture straight and imposing.
"What's the matter?" he said as he arrived beside the Headmaster.
This was none other than the Lord Marshall of Ravenfell, Daniel Ranzenberg. A direct disciple of the former Headmaster, Marcus Blackwood, Daniel had spent the better part of the past couple of decades traversing Ulier and Nahua, hunting down and eliminating every Cultist he could uncover even if they were merely at the Mana Foundation Rank.
His name had become synonymous with relentless pursuit and brutality. Only a few years ago had he finally returned to Ravenfell. And now, he stood once more within its highest chamber, alongside his childhood friend and fellow-disciple.
Nylian, with a dark look on his face, waved a hand and cast a simple spell that repeated the contents of the letter.
Daniel closed his eyes and listened to the message in its entirety. A minute later, his eyes snapped open in astonishment.
"A Mana Core Magus with the appearance of a twenty-year-old!"
Nylian nodded. "You know what that means, don't you?"
Daniel frowned.
Chances were... this unknown threat was a highly talented individual who had attained the legendary station of the Mana Core Rank at a very young age!
"How many of our children are inside the secret plane?" He asked in a low
voice.
"Ten," the Headmaster replied.
"Very well." The Lord Marshall opened the window. "I'll go there myself."
"Daniel..." Nylian called out. "Be careful."
Daniel turned to his old friend and offered a simple nod.
No words were needed.
The next moment, his body broke apart into a flurry of black feathers. Countless ravens burst outward, filling the chamber in a swirl of wings before streaming through the open window.
Then, the murder of ravens swept southward across the sky.
Nylian gazed at the dark mass moving toward the horizon, his heart gripped by
a foreboding feeling.
After conquering Indus and laying waste to its lands, has the vile Cult finally turned its gaze to Ulier?
He thought with a dark look on his face.
Nylian turned around and headed to the depths of the castle. He could not
afford hesitation.
Preparations had to begin at once!
***
Royal Palace, Acryon.
The report of a highly dangerous intruder entering the secret plane reached
the Imperial Court within minutes.
In a scaled chamber deep within the palace, the Emperor convened his most
trusted Magi - all of whom were Mana Core Magi.
The atmosphere was tense as they reviewed the details.
Lucian Acadia remained silent, but the sharp glint in his eyes betrayed his inner
fury.
Seated right beside him, Old Ani had a troubled look on her aged face.
"If that individual truly is an enemy," she said slowly. "I'm certain he belongs to
the Cult. This is their pattern. They strike at the young, at the next generation.
Cripple the future, and you cripple the nation."
Lucian turned to her and asked in a low voice, "Old Ani, you truly cannot divine anything about this person?"
"Nothing... nothing at all. The old Diviner shook her head. "He must have a powerful anti-divination artifact on him."
One of the Dukes of Acadia chimed in. "Your Majesty, I'm sure the Pillars must
have also sent a Mana Core Magus to Glassford. If a good number of us go there and try to break through the secret plane, there might be a chance we
could forcefully enter as well."
Lucian's eyes narrowed. "If the Cult is truly behind this, then this is exactly what they'd want. Divide and conquer."
"Still, we can't sit idly by either." Old Ani said, shaking her head.
She turned to Lucian, her expression firm. "Your Majesty, no matter what
happens, you must remain in the capital. If events unfold as we fear, the Cult
will very likely target Acryon next."
Everyone in the room recalled the reports about how Indus had fallen. A heavy silence settled over the chamber. Each of them understood what it would mean
if Ulier were caught unprepared.
Having come to a decision, Lucian turned to the two Dukes.
"Go to Glassford at once," he commanded. "Coordinate with the other Mana
Core Magi and find a way to enter the secret plane."
His eyes narrowed.
"And remain vigilant. If this is truly the Cult's doing... then this is just the
beginning."
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
Unbeknownst to Adam, Mana Core Magi from all across Ulier were already converging toward the Soaring River Secret Plane.
His single act of forcefully entering the secret plane had sent shockwaves through every major faction in the land.
In a matter of hours, the entire continent was thrown into turmoil!
