Chapter 1579 The Grand Adventures of Adam Constantine Part 2

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Adam was a man of many names and even more secrets.

He had worn many faces, walked different paths, and carried burdens few could understand. Lies and half-truths had often been necessary for survival.

But he understood something important.

If everything remained locked inside - every deception, every burden, every doubt it would slowly corrode him from within. Isolation did not make one stronger. It made one brittle.

That was why he chose to share the truth with at least one person he trusted. Not because he had to.

But because he knew that keeping it all bottled up would, sooner or later, cost him something far greater than any secret was worth.

Doing so anchored him.

After wearing so many faces in Europa, there had been moments when even he had forgotten who he truly was. The lines between role and self began to blur.

He did not want that to happen again.

And so, he chose to reveal his secrets to the one person he trusted more than anyone else in the world.

It was his way of staying grounded, of reminding him that beneath every name and every mask, he was still Adam.

After the raven-haired youth finished recounting his adventures in the City of Merchants, Anna's eyebrows flew up. Her eyes widened in astonishment.

"You shapeshifted into a different person and met my family?!" She blurted out, completely ignoring all the graceful manners she had been taught. "And then you impersonated a Mana Core Magus from the Union and helped my father advance to the Mana Core Rank?!"

"I mean... yeah?" Adam replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Adam Constantine is an infamous backstabber, the one the world calls the Deceitful One," he added with a dry chuckle. "So naturally I had to visit your family wearing a different face and using a different name."

He then let out a hearty laugh. "It was fun! Teasing your brother was very entertaining!"

Anna slipped into silence, unable to comprehend what she'd just heard. My family, my home... they were caught in the Cult's schemes and nearly destroyed? And this kid... he handled it by himself as if it were nothing?

Effortlessly dealing with a Rank 4 undead knight... just how strong has he gotten?

She was in shock for a long time.

But little did she know... Adam had now become significantly more powerful than he was in Europa.

Suddenly, Anna thought of something, and her pupils constricted. "You said you impersonated Magus Bunosilo. What if... What if my family finds out? Or worse, what if Bunosilo himself finds out?"

Adam waved his hand nonchalantly. "Ah, don't worry about it. I've already taken care of that."

Watching her little brother chuckle mischievously, Anna found herself at a loss for words.

"And... what do you mean you helped Father form a mana core?" She asked in a daze.

"Nothing much, really." The youth shrugged. "He was already at the peak of the Mana Vortex Rank. All he needed was a little push."

Anna gulped subconsciously. "I see..."

She couldn't help but think incredulously, How can it be just a little push"?

"After that, I journeyed through the Sea of Green," Adam continued. "There, I took on the identity of a naive little boy named Kenny. And then, hehe, it's so funny even talking about it..."

He explained how he infiltrated the Twilight Brotherhood and spent many years training to be a spy. He then spoke in great detail about how he schemed in the shadows and turned his enemies against one another.

"... You know, I realized that I had a talent for making my enemies fight each other while I was in Mabi," Adam said lightly.

"At the time, I was mad, weak, and helpless. All I could do was lure Rank 4 beasts into one another's territory and let them tear each other apart."

He gave a light shrug.

"So I applied the same principles later. Just with Mana Core Magi instead. It worked surprisingly well. And honestly... it was quite fun."

He then burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, Anna couldn't help but stiffen.

Why is he talking about Mana Core Magi like they're little animals to play with? She wondered.

"Oh, I also met the Old Man in Springdale," Adam said with a smirk. "Of course, he doesn't know it was me. I had taken on the identity of Nilrem again."

Anna's mouth was slightly agape.

But Adam wasn't finished. "After that, I fought a very powerful Magus known as the Winter Lord. I must tell you... he was something, all right! I thought it would be an easy fight, but it wasn't. His mastery of ice magic was a sight to behold." Along with Anna, Valerian also listened with rapt attention. After all, he had been in hibernation for a long time and didn't know the grand adventures his big brother had been on.

"Brother, you're amazing!" he said while clapping his furry paws.

"Heh, of course I am." Adam raised his chin and laughed.

He laughed for a while, then continued. "After that, I returned to the Coral Island once again. And that was when Valerian woke up."

Adam refrained from speaking about Aldo Wagner and Bartholomew's tomb.

"Me! Me!" Valerian sprang from his resting position. He gently tapped Anna's cheeks, snapping her out of her shock.

"Anna! Anna! Look at me!" he said excitedly. "After that, Brother and I went to the spirit world. We traveled to the floating island where he first found me, back when I was still inside an egg"

His topaz eyes lit up as he continued, "I wanted to question that foul snake about where it had found me...

Spirit world? Floating island? Foul snake? What is going on? Anna was

completely bewildered.

"...and that's when dragons appeared!" Valerian beamed. "Myu! They were big

and strong and mighty! Just like me!"

"Wait, dragons?!" Anna's eyes widened.

"Yes, dragons!" Valerian nodded eagerly. "Mind Dragons of the Somnia Clan!

Just like how I was searching for them, they, too, were searching for me!"

He puffed out his chest proudly.

"They were incredibly powerful! And, hehe... brother even dueled one of them. He got badly beaten up, but he still won in the end."

Anna blinked. She was unable to make sense of what she was hearing.

"And you know what?" Valerian's eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a smug

smile.

He rubbed his paws together. "Turns out... I'm a prince of the Somnia Clan."

Valerian paused dramatically, his topaz eyes gleaming. "Heehee! Anna, you're a princess, and I'm a prince. So tell me... which one of us three siblings isn't

royalty?"

The young dragon snickered as he glanced at the raven-haired youth.

But the next moment...

Adam grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and flung him straight into the sky.

"Brat! It looks like I need to knock some sense into that royal head of yours!&qot;

"Myuuu!!"
