Chapter 1613 Fire Magic

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

The ocean suddenly erupted.

From the point where Iroh had plunged into the sea, a massive pillar of fire burst upward, tearing through the waters with violent force.

Steam exploded in every direction as waves were blasted aside, the surface of the Galestine churning wildly under the surge of heat.

The flames rose higher and higher, forming a blazing column that pierced the heavens.

Water should have been the natural enemy of fire. Yet, Iroh's mastery over fire magic was something else entirely. Even surrounded by the vast ocean, the inferno burned fiercely, its raging heat forcing the seawater away as if it did not dare touch it.

The pillar roared like a living thing, painting the skies above Galestine in shades of crimson and gold.

Hovering in the sky, Adam had a thoughtful look on his face as he gazed at Iroh's pillar of flames.

It's on the same level as Balthazar's, he wondered.

The next moment, from within the blazing pillar, hundreds of beams of fire suddenly burst outward. They shot toward Adam like streaks of lightning, tearing through the sky in a deadly storm of flames.

Adam snorted. He rapidly weaved hand seals and sacrificed the material component for his next spell.

Rank 4 Spell: Great Gale Repellance!

A sphere of wind suddenly formed around Adam, swirling rapidly and growing denser with every passing moment.

The air roared as the currents spun faster and faster, compressing into a violent vortex around his body.

Then the sphere expanded outward.

It burst forth at crushing speed, unleashing a massive shock of wind across the sky. Within moments, the hundreds of beams of fire rushing toward him were snuffed out, extinguished as easily as if a giant had blown out a tiny candle.

The force of the spell didn't stop there. Even the clouds high above Adam were torn apart and scattered by the surging winds.

Having neutralized the Flame Lord's spell, Adam casually flew toward the Galestine, then gracefully landed on its surface.

Before him, the giant pillar of light slowly thinned. And just before it fully dissipated, dozens of charred figures became visible within the dying flames. As the flames faded, Iroh Silvas emerged from within the dying pillar, completely unharmed.

Floating beside him were two towering undead knights. They were Rank 4 abominations whose bodies were blackened and charred from the immense heat they had endured. Their armor was scorched and cracked, yet the undead constructs still radiated a dreadful aura.

Behind them, dozens of Mana Vortex-level undead soldiers stood on the water. Their burned forms formed a grim phalanx around the Flame Lord as they faced the terrifying Dark King.

Adam thoughtfully stroked his chin and murmured, "You managed to incorporate fire magic into death magic, eh? Very impressive. No wonder he made you an Elder."

"Don't look down on me, boy!!" Iroh growled.

"I will." Adam sneered. He raised his chin and taunted. "What're you going to do about it?"

"You" The Flame Lord was furious.

Adam coldly interrupted him....

By casting Magic Missile Barrage!

Dozens of Magic Missiles suddenly streaked across the ocean, their glowing

azure trails slicing through the air like a storm of shooting stars.

They slammed into the undead army with perfect precision.

Each missile stabbed cleanly through rotting flesh and bone before rebounding back into the air. In the next instant, they turned sharply under Adam's guidance and dove again, piercing the undead soldiers once more.

Again.

And again.

Then again.

The barrage continued relentlessly for nearly a full minute. The sky above the Galestine became a chaotic dance of flashing projectiles as Iroh and his undead struggled to defend against the ceaseless assault.

The Rank 4 undead knights raised heavy shields of bone and magic to block the worst of the strikes, while Iroh erected layers of mana barriers to deflect the incoming missiles - his defensive artifacts had already been destroyed, after

all.

But the pressure never stopped.

When Adam finally cancelled the spell, the aftermath was clear.

The Rank 3 undead soldiers had been completely obliterated, reduced to scraps of rotten flesh drifting across the ocean winds. Meanwhile, the two Rank 4 undead knights remained barely intact, their massive frames riddled with

countless holes.

Only Iroh Silvas himself stood relatively unharmed behind the wreckage of his army or whatever was left of it, anyway.

He stood pale and breathless, having poured in a lot of mana just for defending against the Dark King's attack.

Yet his enemy hadn't even broken sweat.

The Dark King's mana reserves, as well as the finesse with which he cast magic, truly shocked him.

"Hanging in there?" Adam chuckled in amusement. "Or are you about to croak?"

The Flame Lord spat through gritted teeth. "Even if you defeat me... you'll

never be able to defeat the Cult Leader!"

"Pretty sure I will." The Dark King nonchalantly shrugged.

"And his plans for this world-" The Flaming Lord's eyes turned maniacal, but he

was interrupted again.

"I have allies." Adam snorted.

"Now then..." he added, his eyes narrowing. "Let's settle this with something

you're proficient at: fire magic"

With that said, Adam's palms started emanating visible heat as he slowly weaved hand seals.

"Impudent!" Iroh Silvas roared. As the two Rank 4 undead knights beside him slowly started to regenerate, he weaved a set of hand seals as well.

A tiny flame flickered in Adam's palm.

It was small, no larger than a candle's flame, but its light was unnaturally bright and pure. The fire burned steadily as he shaped it with gentle precision.

Slowly, the flame grew hotter.

The air around it began to distort as the heat intensified. What had started as a

simple spark now radiated a terrifying pressure, the temperature rising with

every passing moment.

Then Adam molded the flame.

The fire stretched and sharpened until it took the form of a weapon, its blazing

tip glowing white-hot.

He raised his hands.

One arm pointed forward toward his enemy, while the other drew back slightly,

as if pulling the sting of a bow.

"Ready?" Adam asked with a smile.

In response, the Flame Lord roared and unleashed his strongest fire magic.

For a brief moment, Adam's dark eyes reflected the colossal wave of flames

about to engulf him.

And then...

He laughed and released his own spell.

Fire Arrow!
