The beasts of Mabi directly countered the greatest strength of the devils. And that was disciplined formation warfare.
The devil army fought like a single colossal machine. Their soldiers moved in harmony, maintained precise formations, protected one another methodically, and coordinated attacks with terrifying efficiency.
Every movement flowed into the next with near-perfect rhythm. And on the battlefield, rhythm was everything.
A disciplined army became most dangerous when its formations remained intact, and its soldiers operated according to structure and timing. The devils currently on Tron had likely spent hundreds of years perfecting this style of warfare.
The beasts of Mabi, however, were the exact opposite of structure.
They did not fight like soldiers. They fought like calamity made flesh. So as soon as the devil army entered the titanic labyrinth, the beasts showed their true prowess.
Gigantic animals crashed violently into flanks, scattering enemy formations apart. Tunneling monsters suddenly erupted from underground, attacking from impossible angles and throwing the battlefield into confusion.
Flying predators descended upon artillery crews and communication units. Berserk creatures rampaged wildly, trampling soldiers and disrupting the ranks.
Even when these beasts failed to kill a large number of devils, they still managed to achieve something far more important…
They disrupted the rhythm of battle.
And the moment rhythm broke, the infernal army's advantage began to weaken. This became even deadlier within the labyrinth.
The twisting maze prevented the devils from fully expanding their formations, while the narrow pathways and towering walls limited visibility and communication.
Inside such an environment, the beasts of Mabi were terrifying predators.
The devils would soon learn that the true purpose of the beasts was not merely slaughter…
It was chaos.

"How is that possible?"
Although Volgron's battleground was far away from the main battlefield, it was impossible not to notice the gargantuan structure jutting out from the earth.
The sheer scale and complexity of it was simply mind-boggling, and the devil could not understand how it was even possible to combine the spell of nearly five hundred thousand Magi and then cast it into reality.
Suffice it to say, he had never witnessed anything like this in his life.
Even if all five hundred thousand Magi somehow managed to synchronize the timing of their spell components, that alone should not have been enough to make such a massive combination spell possible.
They also need to channel the mana at the exact same frequency.
Even the slightest deviation would have caused the entire spell structure to collapse instantly beneath the overwhelming interference of hundreds of thousands of different mana signatures.
Under normal circumstances, achieving such harmony between even a few dozen unfamiliar Magi would already be considered extraordinarily difficult.
But here? Nearly five hundred thousand individuals had somehow managed to unify their mana into a single functioning spell.
Such a feat was truly no different from a miracle.
Berger let out a faint chuckle as he gazed upon the distant transformed battlefield.
"You'll find that miracles become rather common," he said calmly, "when the Magi of this world come together for a singular purpose."
The gnome's eyes narrowed.
"To protect it."
Volgron, seated atop a ferocious infernal beast, turned his attention to Berger and Blackie. He didn't know what kind of magic the Magi of Tron had just used, but it was no doubt detrimental to his army.
He understood something very crucial. The move by the Allied Forces to break up the devil army's rhythm and disciplined formation had been the perfect countermeasure.
The devils had invaded countless worlds, and time and time again, mortal civilizations made the same mistake when facing them…
They attempted to meet discipline with discipline of their own.
But the Allied forces of Tron had done the exact opposite. Rather than contesting the devils in structured warfare, they had deliberately shattered the battlefield itself and turned the war into chaos.
However, he failed to understand how the Allied commanders were able to think of this method in the first place. That was not a strategy one arrived at through mere coincidence.
To do so meant someone among them had a good understanding of devils.
"Who is it?" Volgron asked as his expression twisted into a scowl. "Is there someone among you who has visited Hell? Someone who has participated in the Eternal War?"
Berger simply remained silent.
Though inwardly, he was just as shocked by the recent change in the main battlefield.
When Adam had suggested the idea of having nearly five hundred thousand Magi combine a simple spell and cast it to alter the battlefield, every commander inside the tent had looked at him like he was a madman.
But at the time, the raven-haired youth had told them something very strange.
'Have faith,' he had said. 'The world will assist you.'
It was then that Lucian Acadia revealed a truth that stunned all the Mana Core Magi present. At some point in time, Tron itself had gained sentience. And now, faced with the threat of annihilation, the world was instinctively assisting the Allied Forces in its own struggle for survival.
Berger and the rest did not know how a world could gain sentience. They didn't even know if a world gaining sentience was possible in the first place. But when two of the most powerful Magi in the Allied Forces claimed so, surely there had to be some weight to their words.
And now… the answer was clear to him.
The world had indeed gained sentience, and it had lent its strength to the Allied Forces in manifesting the gargantuan labyrinth.
There was no other explanation for such a miracle.
The gnome's silence caused Volgron to frown even more. The aura around him distorted, turning dark and sinister.
"Very well," he snarled.
The devil retrieved a halberd from his storage artifact. At the same time, his infernal mount started to growl in anticipation of the bloody carnage about to unfold.
"I'll beat the answer out of you myself."
Berger sneered as he put on his gauntlets. "We'll see about that."
Tyrannical mana surged from him, distorting the air around him. At once, he seemed much more dangerous and oppressive.
Meanwhile, Blackie bared his fangs as we continued to grow in size. In the depths of his jaws, a dark and sinister energy bloomed slowly, ready to devour everything and everyone in his path.
A gust of wind blew across their battlefield as the two sides prepared to clash.
Then, in the blink of an eye, they disappeared from their positions.
And the moment they appeared and their attacks collided…
The world trembled.
