Chapter 801: Cliff Falling

This chapter is updated by NovelFree.ml

Roar!

Immortal screamed to transform into a humanoid wolf with large blade-like claws that hacked and slashed into the Invader System, wounding it severely.

“Help me!” The Invader System shouted in alarm, “Why the heck is Immortal still this strong?”

Boom!

Apocalypse arrived at the scene, punching Immortal in the face to send him flying, muttering in shock upon seeing its fist crack in response, “What…is happening?”

“Regression!” Apocalypse turned around to ask in alarm, only to see Regression sweating buckets in a fluster.

“Even after losing his sentience, Immortal somehow managed to siphon my powers to regress himself.” Regression stated in alarm, only now realising that Immortal wasn’t as dumb as he seemed. Or at least, he was able to unleash a last-ditch counterattack.

“He’s…regressing?” At this word, pretty much all Grade 3 Systems paled in fright.

After all, if Immortal continued to regress, even if his worlds didn’t change, he’ll personally grow stronger until attaining the strength at his peak, one where he singlehandedly opposed the entirety of the Systems.

“Don’t allow him to reach that stage!” The Regression System bellowed in fluster before taking the charge to appear before Immortal to pummel him into the ground.

The impact cratered the region, causing Immortal’s bones to fracture in response.

Grrr!

Suddenly, a hand shot out before transforming into a claw, one that slowly pushed back Regression’s hand.

“T-This bastard!” Regression stared in shock to see its powers of time being gradually siphoned by Immortal as his condition regressed faster and faster. His hands transformed into dragon claws as the strength in them continued to climb.

“Die!” Apocalypse condensed a fist full of corruption to punch Immortal in the face, cracking his skull. But immediately after, a dragon horn jutted out of his forehead and pierced through its fists, causing it to cry out in pain.

“Pain?” Apocalypse was stunned. After all, pain wasn’t a concept it had experienced anytime recently, especially after the Genre Representatives had gotten weak. But now, Immortal’s attack caused it to recall the sensation.

Swoosh!

A pike pierced through Immortal’s body as a mysterious energy invaded him, intending to devour and control his body. It was the Invader System that had taken action.

Roar!

Immortal’s body transformed into a dragon entirely, brimming with power as Invader System’s energy was rapidly nullified in his body. He placed a hand on his spine and pulled it out, shaping it into a spear as Immortal entered a stance.

“Quick, Apocalypse!” Regression shouted in alarm, “Strengthen your Core Skill Manifestation. We need to strain Immortal’s consciousness to the limit before it shatters.”

“It’s already at full power,” Apocalypse said as it defended against a spear slash, noticing a large gash forming on its hands.

Tremble!

Only then did Apocalypse notice that its hands were…trembling. An emotion of oppression it had forgotten long ago, from the times when they faced Immortal and were brutally slaughtered by the other party.

An arrogant entity, entirely confident in its strength to slash any obstacle in its way. Whether it be the God, Devil, Fate, Universe, or whatever. If they stood in its way, they would be slashed apart.

Genre Representative—Immortal!

“Master…” Arnark said, getting up as he stretched himself, “I’ve rested enough.”

“Let’s charge out.” Slayer stared at the five Universe Relic Wielders and at the army they had amassed in their fort, “We wouldn’t get a better opportunity. Let’s stall as many Systems as possible and leave Immortal to take care of the rest.”

He observed a maddened Immortal clobbering the Grade 3 Systems before asking Arnark, “Is this what you had planned?”

“It depends on how we take advantage of this situation.” Arnark said, watching tens of thousands of hunters stream out of the Realm all of a sudden, “I’m afraid Compass is damn pissed with the current state of events.”

“We need to step up our game.” Arnark said as he leapt onto an abandoned building, opening his mouth to utter, “Lore makes an MC, Lore creates an MC, and Lore divides the MC!”

Boom!

Instantly, Arnark’s body divided into eleven forms, the same as what had happened to Compass Carburettor at the time of obtaining this power.

Each body was a Main Character, possessing a Core Skill that they used primarily. In response, the main body of Arnark that possessed the power of Lore gained traits regarding all the Core Skills, causing him to exclaim, “Sweet. These traits create interesting evolution to my existing abilities. No wonder Compass was that strong.”

“Woohooo!” One of the Main Characters ran over the mountain ranger forming their defensive encampment and jumped past, making a free fall through the cliff.

“Is he insane?” Balveta screamed in shock, “He’ll die from the fall.”

“He won’t,” Slayer said, “This one is the greatest embodiment of cliches.”

Ranked fifth among the Main Character Core Skills, the most famous cliché in the cultivation genre.

Main Character Core Skill—Cliff Falling (Level 92)!

“Wheee!” The Main Character slammed into a rock protrusion in the cliff wall. It was where the apocalyptic creatures had been attacking all along. The impact from the fall splattered his body, but though bloody, he only lost consciousness, still tethering to his life.

The blood from his body splatter pooled over the ground and flowed past, mixing with the blood of the apocalyptic creatures as it erupted in a chain reaction, turning sentient before flowing back into his body.

Grrrrr!

The Main Character got up, appearing like a zombie as he stared at the Hunter System close by, heading towards it before breaking into a sprint.

“Die!” Upon seeing the Main Character’s approach, the Hunter System slashed forth with its claymore, alarmed upon watching the Main Character duck to the side and ignore the severed arm to lunge forth before punching it in the face.

Moreover, nails sprouted out of his arm before digging into its heart, drawing out some of its blood, and absorbing the essence of the apocalypse from it.

“What…why am I tired all of a sudden?” The Hunter System was alarmed to sense that it wasn’t entirely immune to the apocalyptic scenario anymore, experiencing fatigue just like a survivor of the apocalypse. After all, the power that made it immune was partly stolen by the Main Character who gained that trait by absorbing the blood of the apocalyptic creatures that had congregated at the bottom of the cliff.

“This is the Main Character’s strength.” Arnark let out a smile, turning around to face a bloodthirsty Compass Carburettor, “Don’t you concur?”

“How’s retirement life treating you?”
