The reason being that the other routes all had four rooms after the rest area, so I figured this route would probably be the same. The rest areas challenge was likely just there to unlock the hidden route, while every route totaled ten rooms including the rest area.

Touching the magic crystal on each board would automatically generate a puzzle, which had to be solved within five minutes. There were five boards in total, and clearing all of them completed the challenge If you failed, however, that board would reset and generate a brand-new puzzle.

According to Fate-san, magic such as Thought Acceleration was generally unusable on this hidden route. Someone of Lillywood-sans caliber could apparently ignore that restriction if she wished but knowing her personality, she wouldnt.
As for me, Im absolutely hopeless when it comes to board games, so I couldnt be of any help at all. The only thing I could do was cheer them on.
