Chapter 2617: Demon Realm Amusement Park

After walking along the path that had appeared and seemed to be the correct answer for a while, we arrived at what appeared to be the goal. It was, how should I say this a space that was so impressive I couldnt help but be overwhelmed.

It was a space filled with colorful flowers, various trees, and vivid fruits, with what looked to be not merely dozens but hundreds of different kinds of flowers and trees blooming in abundance. Although it looked somewhat eclectic at first glance, the colors and such had been arranged in a way that made the whole thing look vivid and beautiful.

A straight path continued as though surrounded by beautiful flowers, and at the back of the room was a magnificent throne made of wood. It seemed there was no mistake that this was the goal.

I see, must be precisely because theyre made with Illusion Magic huh. Under normal circumstances, plants that could not grow in the same environment are blooming together, and it has a flamboyance and grandeur befitting the throne room of the Forest Castle.

[If World King really put their mind to it, couldnt you actually create a space like this?]

It would be possible, but even if I forcibly gathered them all into one place, the flowers and trees would feel cramped. Besides, this sort of flashy splendor isnt something I particularly favor. No, they are pleasant to look at like this, but preparing something like this as a place for my use

Indeed, this space was worthy of being called the throne room of the Forest Castle the castle in the forest. Despite being almost entirely made up of plants, it had an appearance of extravagant splendor, and one could certainly call it the domain of a king who ruled over the forest.

Well, Lillywood-san, who could actually be called the king of the forest, doesnt particularly care for that sort of extravagant splendor, so this could be considered a throne room belonging specifically to the attraction.

If anything, perhaps they may have deliberately made it different from Lillywood-sans tastes in order to convey that this was merely an amusement park attraction and had nothing to do with Lillywood-san herself.

As I thought about that, I walked along the prepared path while admiring the beautiful flowers and neatly arranged trees. Just as we reached around the center of the room, glowing letters appeared in midair.

Congratulations. You have reached the hidden true throne, which is not intended for audiences. To commemorate your achievement, we have prepared a small commemorative gift. Please touch the magic tool in front of the throne one person at a time, in order. You can return to the entrance through the magic circle behind the throne.

So this really was the goal and more specifically, there was no doubt that this was the true goal at the end of the hidden route. Apparently, we were going to receive something like a clear reward.

I decided to represent everyone and touched the cylindrical magic tool in front of the throne first. After emitting a faint glow once, a single card appeared.

Metal? I wasnt sure what it was made of, but the card had a texture that felt somewhat like iron. A picture of the Forest Castle was drawn on its front, while the back read You are the first Explorer to reach the true throne.

When Fate-san and the others touched it in turn, the numbering on the back changed to second, third, and so on. I see, so the clear reward for completing the hidden route was a special card with a serial number huh It was a nice keepsake that would serve as a memory of this attraction.

[However, even though we made pretty good progress, it took quite a while. Im a little worried that the others might be waiting for us.]

[Ahh, I think we dont have to worry about that. After we were teleported here, large-scale Space-Time Magic and a barrier were placed over the entire attraction, so it seems that the flow of time inside the attraction is being adjusted to some extent. Even if the groups were divided differently or took different routes, I think its probably arranged so that everyone can leave at roughly the same time.]

It is quite a complicated and advanced barrier formula, so Kuromueina must have designed it. Rather than simply slowing the flow of time, it seems to accelerate it depending on each individuals progress when necessary, adjusting things so that, in the end, only about fifteen minutes pass outside.

[Thats quite something A barrier that is so complicated and advanced that, even if I heard the explanation, I wouldnt even be able to imagine the formula.]

I had felt that each individual challenge took a fair amount of time, and that, aside from some of the higher-difficulty ones, they could be attempted as many times as we wanted, so I figured that struggling with them could make the whole thing take quite a while But apparently, a barrier that adjusted the flow of time had been placed so that every group could return about 15 minutes after entering.

Just like Cornelia-san, I couldnt even begin to imagine the formula behind it, but I remembered Dr. Vier using magic that altered the flow of time within a barrier, so this was probably an even more complicated version of that.

Apparently, Kuros creative abilities had been improving by leaps and bounds lately, and Id heard that she had become capable of doing things fairly similar to Shiro-san, so I supposed it wasnt particularly strange that she could do something like this.

Well, regardless, if that was the case, then it was a relief to know that we wouldnt have to worry about going outside and waiting for a long time, or conversely, making the others wait for us.

[Well~~ then, if everyone is okay, shall we head back?]

[Yes. We can return by stepping onto the magic circle Judging by its size, it looks like we can only go one person at a time.]

Since the order in which we had touched the magic crystal in front of the throne had been me, Fate-san, Lillywood-san, and Cornelia-san, we had moved away after receiving our cards in that order. As a result, Cornelia-san was currently the closest to the throne, so leaving the room in the reverse order of how we had touched the magic crystal seemed like it would be the smoothest way to go.

Cornelia-san nodded at Fate-sans words, stepped onto the magic circle, and disappeared. Next, Lillywood-san stepped onto the magic circle and teleported away.

Next was Fate-san or so I thought, but Fate-san turned around in front of the magic circle and beckoned me over.

As I bent down to bring my face closer as Fate-san asked, she suddenly pressed her lips against mine and kissed me head-on, catching me completely off guard.

After a deep kiss in which our lips were firmly pressed together, yet one that lasted only the briefest instant, Fate-san pulled her lips away and smiled mischievously.

[Ehehe, I had so much fun going through it with you, Kai-chan! Thanks~~]

With that, she stepped onto the magic circle with a beaming smile and disappeared. I was so caught off guard by the completely unexpected surprise that I was left momentarily stunned, but I couldnt help giving a wry smile at how utterly typical of Fate-sans suddenness that was.

Then, savoring the pleasant sensation of happiness that faintly lingered on my lips, I stepped onto the magic circle as well.

Serious-senpai : [What the heck are you doing!? I thought having a large group meant we were safe, but dot take things in that direction!!! Stop! What are you going to do if the whole flow changes!?]
