To my eyes, it was quite a large parfait, but Hina-chan happily ate the entire thing from start to finish, reminding me once again of the saying that there is always room for dessert.

The buildings looked like ice, but they werent actually made of ice; they merely had that sort of appearance.

[They sure have made quite the effort into every area.]

[Indeed. Just looking around gets me excited So, Hina-chan, which attraction should we go to here?]

[Hmm, I think this Ice Mirror Labyrinth would be good. Its easy to imagine what its like, isnt it?]

[Ah, yeah. Judging by the name, it sounds like a maze lined with mirrors, and it seems like itd be fun.]

Rather than simply being easy to imagine, it was the sort of attraction that seemed like it would be found at an amusement park Though the amusement parks I went to as a child didnt have anything like a mirror maze.

Still, the idea of a mirror labyrinth inside an ice-like building fit the fantastical atmosphere of the Ice Area quite well and seemed like it would be fun.

I checked with everyone else as well, but no one seemed to have any objections, so we decided to go to the Ice Mirror Labyrinth first.

When we arrived, it was a fairly large building, and if the maze was actually that large, it might be pretty difficult Ah, no, there was also the possibility that it was simply large because, like Forest Castle, multiple groups could progress through it simultaneously.

When we went inside, there was a beautiful reception area that looked like a hotel lobby, and I wonder what that is? I noticed a lot of what looked like portraits hanging along the walls.

Aoi-chan tilted her head as she looked at the portraits, while Hina-chan murmured that the paintings were creepy. Now that she mentioned it, they did seem somewhat eerie They were definitely portraits, but there was something about their coloring that was somewhat dark.

There was no consistency among the people depicted. There were men and women, people who looked like Humans and people who looked like Demons, all sorts of different people.

Wondering about them, we went to the reception desk and learned that this attraction was structured like a maze where participants had to reach the goal in pairs of two. As expected, multiple pairs could start simultaneously.

The pairs could either be decided beforehand, or they could be randomly assigned during teleportation, like in Forest Castle. Since there were ten of us, we would be divided into five pairs, so we decided to have the pairs assigned randomly and all stepped onto the magic circle.

We were enveloped in a dazzling light and teleported to what appeared to be the starting room and I immediately spotted Hina-chan nearby.

[Ah, Kaito-senpai! Were positioned together!]

[Looks like it. Lets do our best.]

[Yes! Lets do our best together!]

It seems Ive ended up paired with Hina-chan, meaning the two of us would be taking on the mirror labyrinth together At the starting point, this room had something that looked like a magic tool in the center, with the words Please touch this first written on it, and beyond that was a large door and a single stylish lantern.

[Are we supposed to touch it?]

[Probably the rules and such will be explained.]

[I see, then Ill touch it!]

When Hina-chan touched the thing that looked like a magic tool some rather ominous music began to play, followed by an eerie voice.

This is a labyrinth inhabited by a terrifying mirror monster. So far, 43 souls have been dragged into the mirrors, and even now, those souls continue to wander within them. The portraits at the entrance to this labyrinth belonged to the victims of the past. I was tasked with exterminating the mirror monster but if someone is listening to this recording I have left behind, then I must have become its 44 victim as well. You have been deceived by the mirror monster and brought here. So that whoever is listening to this does not become its next victim, I shall leave behind all the information I know Please, those of you listening to this, escape the mirror labyrinth safely.

Hmm~~ Arehh? This introduction is kind of different from what I expected No, I imagined wed be tackling a maze, but the atmosphere is different, or rather

[U- Umm, K- Kaito-senpai I- Is this, perhaps one of those scary ones?]

[Unn. It feels like some kind of panic horror attraction, where we have to escape while avoiding this mirror monster]

The introduction was completely that of a horror attraction, and there was no doubt that this was the type it was going to be. Sure, when I first saw the area divisions, Id predicted that the Dark Area would have haunted houses and things like that, but each area was huge, so it wasnt strange for there to be horror attractions in other areas as well.
