When I stepped outside the room serving as our base, I found myself in a city that gave off a somewhat futuristic feel. There were many tall buildings, as well as plenty of obstacles The fact that there were so many places to hide meant I would have to be careful of ambushes and attacks from blind spots.

I moved my body around a little, but there was no sense of discomfort. Our physical abilities were supposed to be standardized to some extent, and mine seemed to have been adjusted to those of an average human, so I felt almost no difference No, I actually felt like I was moving better than usual To avoid making myself feel miserable, Ill just assume Im moving about as well as I normally do.

By combining the high leap, double jump, and emergency evasion, it was apparently possible to move through the air with considerable freedom apparently.

It seems the Shooting Gallery before II was apparently known for its aerial combat, so I suppose it was designed with an emphasis on aerial battles in mind. Well, theres no point thinking about it too much, so Ill try jumping right away, just to see what its like.

While feeling exhilarated, I looked toward the wide-open view that had suddenly appeared before me and I saw someone else, a short distance away, who had likewise leaped into the air.

I encountered someone right away!? I couldnt tell who it was from their appearance. Apparently, the combinations of helmet and rider suit colors differed from player to player, so I could use those to identify them to some extent but that would only be possible later on after the battle had progressed. When encountering someone for the first time, their identity was unknown.

Incidentally, my helmet was white and my rider suit was black The person who had leaped up had a yellow helmet and a white rider suit For now, I wanted to find out as soon as possible which combination Lilia-san was using.

There were no stage gimmicks in Shooting Gallery II that interfered with the players, and since physical abilities were also standardized, it was primarily a contest of the players sense and technique and in that sort of contest, Lilia-san was monstrously strong. Its power was tremendous, and since it exploded upon impact, it also had a wide attack range, but it consumed a great deal of magic power. Although it had a long range, its projectile speed was slow and it couldnt be fired rapidly, giving me the impression that it wasnt suited for hitting opponents who were constantly moving around.
