After visiting the rooms for various types of Undead, including Zombies, Skeletons, Wraiths, and Living Dolls, we continued on to explore rooms featuring all sorts of other Undead. There were Living Trees that looked like withered trees, headless Dullahans, and various other Undead who had put together elaborate events in their respective rooms. I felt like Id learned quite a bit about the different types of Undead while enjoying the attractions, so I thought it was a pretty good experience. When we arrived at the next room, there was a sign standing at the entrance.
This is the final room of the attraction. Here, we introduce some of the most famous Demons among the Undead, specifically those who have granted us permission to feature them.
Looking inside, I saw that the room resembled a theater, complete with a stage and audience seating. Apparently, all we had to do was sit down, watch the introductions to famous Undead, and head for the exit once we were satisfied.
For the time being, I took a seat, with Hina-chan and Aoi-chan sitting on either side of me.
[W- Were not going to encounter any more scary things, are we?]
[This seems to be more like an introduction to individuals. I think well just be seeing famous people like Sechs-san, so it should be fine.]
In all the rooms wed visited so far, there had generally been at least one trick designed to startle or frighten visitors. Hina-chan had screamed and gotten scared every time, so you could say she was the ideal customer.
As for Aoi-chan, just as shed said she wasnt good with sudden scares, she seemed to be fine with things she could handle. However judging by the moments when shed clung to my arm, she seemed frightened by Undead with missing body parts, such as the faceless Wraiths, headless Dullahans, and Crawlers that had no lower bodies and dragged themselves along the ground.
Incidentally Hina-chan was scared of everything.
While I was thinking about that, the show seemed to begin. Classical-style music started playing, and a skeleton dressed in luxurious clothing appeared onstage It was Sechs-san, whom I recognized.
His appearance was a perfect match for Sechs-san, but I could barely sense any magic power or emotion from him, so it seemed to be something like a 3D projection created by Illusion Magic. Onstage, Sechs-sans phantom demonstrated a few spells, and when I decided to read the explanation, text appeared in midair, just as it had in the previous rooms.
Sechs A Count-rank Demon known as the Great Sage of the Undead, affiliated with the Underworld Kings camp. His species is Emperor Lich, and he possesses power on an entirely different level from other Liches, making him a fairly famous figure throughout the world. He is also renowned for his handsome appearance among Skeletons. Although this may be difficult to appreciate for those outside the Skeleton lineage, he is said to be one of the most handsome Skeletons in Skeleton circles.
A fairly detailed explanation appeared in midair. The fact that they even mentioned it here meant that Sechs-san really was in a league of his own when it came to good looks in Skeleton circles
As I watched, thinking about that, Sechs-sans turn came to an end. His figure vanished like smoke, and next, a skeleton appeared, clad from head to toe in dazzling golden knights armor that glittered almost excessively.
Canopus A Count-rank Demon known by the epithet Golden Knight. His species is Grand Skull Knight, the highest rank of Skull Knight. At present, he is not affiliated with any camp. Despite being Undead, he specializes in Light Magic, which is exceptionally powerful. His conspicuous appearance and the fact that he is constantly glowing make him well-known among Skeletons. However, despite his flashy appearance, his actual looks are apparently quite ordinary.
Did they really have to bring up his appearance!? Considering that the person featured right before him, Sechs-san, was one of the most handsome Skeletons around, wasnt this practically a public execution? Well, I couldnt tell whether a skeleton was handsome or average-looking in the first place, so even if people called them good-looking or plain, I wouldnt have the slightest idea what the difference was.
Heck, people outside Skeleton circles wouldnt know the difference unless someone told them, so I felt like they could have left that part out No, but they seemed to have obtained permission from the individuals themselves for these introductions, and the featured people had probably read their own descriptions, too In that case, perhaps hed accepted it?
With those thoughts in mind, I continued watching the introductions of famous Undead. Among the people I recognized were Rachel-san and Phenex-san Wait, was Phenex-san an Undead? Id thought she was closer to a Spirit, but her classification seemed to fall under the Astral-type.
Then, at the end of several introductions Isis-sans phantom appeared amid a dazzling display of light.
Isis Remnant One of the Six Kings who stand at the pinnacle of the Demon Realm, known as the Death King. Strictly speaking, she is a unique species closer to a Spirit, but she is introduced here because she is recognized as an existence closely related to the Undead. Befitting her status as one of the rulers at the pinnacle of the Demon Realm, she possesses tremendously powerful abilities and is enveloped in an extraordinarily potent magical power known as magic power of death. Because this magic power of death causes those who lack sufficient strength to experience an instinctive fear of death, misunderstandings have arisen and false rumors have spread about her. In reality, however, she is an exceedingly compassionate and gentle being
Oof That was a lot of text. No matter how much I read, the end seemed nowhere in sight. Rather than providing details about Isis-san herself, it was more like a lengthy explanation of how the public misunderstood her, how she was actually a kind person, and how the rumors portraying her as a symbol of terror were completely wrong.
Well, I wholeheartedly agreed with all of that, and I hoped this introduction would improve the publics perception of Isis-san, even if only a little. Thanks to the item Canalis-san had made, she could now avoid causing any problems as long as she stayed at least 50 cm away from others. It would be nice if peoples perception of her improved enough that she could walk around town more openly.
That said I also found myself smiling fondly at the thought that Rasal-san really did love Isis-san in her own way after all.
? ? ? : [Well, hopefully, we can improve the situation where the streets become deserted just because Isis-san comes to town. I mean, yeah, Im the one who spread the original rumors, but I only did that to keep Isis-san from accidentally encountering people who were too weak and getting emotionally hurt as a result Anyway, Im working behind the scenes to improve her reputation now, you know? So please stop treating Alice-chan like some villain who gave the Great Angel a name like the Death King. Alice-chan is doing her best, okay?]
