Chapter 5188: Momentum!

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

At such words, THE Creature didn’t flinch or show the tremors of a cornered animal, for he only offered a brutal and unsettling smile that seemed out of place on his ancient face.

Right now, he felt a strange and piercing sense of freedom and sadness that nobody else could understand, for he was free because he was entirely alone, and because he was alone, the weight of his sadness was a physical burden that sat in his chest alongside his power.

Existence was unfair and filled with an adversity that didn’t care for the noble intentions of the weak, and he knew it was okay to feel free and sad simultaneously so long as one kept moving forward through the viscera of his own path.

He understood that existence would, by its very nature, remain exactly the way it was...a rigid hierarchy of THE Primeval Ones, THE Gilded Ones, and THE Bounded Lifeforms that would continue for countless eons of consumption unless someone moved to physically shatter the arrangement.

Nothing changed unless someone did something, and THE Creature never once entertained the delusion that he could change the entirety of existence at once, for he was far too young and the scope of the void was far too vast.

He didn’t think he could change everything, but he knew he could get started in THE Observable Existence he was currently in and move outward from there, one steady and blood-soaked step at a time.

He breathed out a slow, steady cloud of multicolored vapor and closed his eyes as he felt the resonance of the glorious source, THE Primordial Source that lived beneath the skin of reality.

All of his worries and the lingering sadness of his loneliness momentarily paused. He remembered her face as his existence became firmer and brighter as he voiced his thoughts deeply, the sound of his voice cutting through the tumultuous noise of THE Undefined Gaps.

"No, I didn’t think for a single moment that I could kill one of you and simply leave unscathed, because that was never the plan I had laid out for the afternoon. The First Domino, The False Golden Idol, was only the first domino in a much larger collapse, and I needed his death to act as a springboard to draw the rest of you out from your golden towers."

He opened his eyes, and the obsidian light within them had become a crushing, physical pressure that caused the Ira warriors to tighten their grip on their crimson blades.

"I needed multiple more of THE Gilded Ones to sustain the trajectory of my growth, which is why all of you are here now, for you’re going to help me keep my momentum during my Ascent. In existence, one needs to have momentum and pacing to keep going unceasingly, and I wasn’t running from you; I was gathering as many of you as I could while giving myself the time to prepare. Now, we can finally get started, and I suggest you remember that in Existence, there is only... Mo! Men! Tum!"

BOOM!

The entire region of THE Undefined Gaps instantly flashed with a blinding obsidian light that swallowed the golden radiance of THE Gilded Ones, all sound fading into a terrifying, unnatural silence as vision was cut off by the surge of THE Primordial Source.

The only thing that could be heard within the lightless void was the booming voice of THE Creature, sounding like the judgment of a dark titan rising from the depths of the abyss.

"Why do you all think you never got your filthy hands on THE Primordial Source?" he asked, his voice dripping with a visceral disdain.

"It’s because vile and filthy hands shouldn’t get to touch something so pristine, and while you’ll always seek it, you will never find it in the halls of your Gilded houses. It’s abhorrent that you were even able to get your hands on THE Infinite, but I believe in the future..mthat even that will be stripped from you, so today, let me show you the true face of THE Primordial Source. Let me...show you."

HUUM!

As the obsidian flames began to settle, the body of THE Creature became the only visible entity in the void, wreathed in a fire that was so dark it seemed to consume the surrounding shadows!

The obsidian flames began to coalesce and harden on his face, forming a glorious and terrifying bony mask that looked as if it had been carved from the very foundations of a dead existence.

While this bony mask formed, his aura reached levels that were so terrifying they caused the space around him to groan and crack, the smell of ancient bone and ozone filling THE Undefined Gaps as he took a single, fearless step toward the eighteen THE Gilded Ones who had thought they were the hunters.

The weight of THE Primordial Source was now absolute, and as he moved, THE Gilded Ones felt the first genuine chill of a death that they hadn’t engineered for themselves.

BOOM!

THE Gilded Ones.

His thoughts moved with the speed of a kinetic strike as he analyzed the sheer, offensive density of their power, breaking the architecture of THE Gilded Ones down into a few fundamental components that defined their absolute advantage.

Their bodies were stronger and vaster, their internal systems filled with a degree of potential that made them appear as the favored children of THE Observable Existence, especially as THE Observable Force flooded their marrow and made it nauseatingly easy for them to alter the surrounding environment through their presence alone.

With the addition of their engineered Egos, their base values were inflated to a degree that allowed them to harness their next great strength, THE Infinite. Infinity.

Within their bodies, Infinity flowed in abundance, yet THE Creature felt like he was watching something pristine being defiled by its residence in the bodies of these lifeforms, for they had not earned the right to carry the boundless.

When THE Infinite was added to their roster, it expanded their power in the reaches of THE Paleozoic Scale, allowing them to bypass the long eons of the Transitional Cambrian stage to become adults who were profoundly confident and filled with a terrifying conviction.

That was merely their starting point, but as if all of that were not enough, they had begun drawing additional power from the surrounding existences through a methodology that only those at the Proterozoic Scale could typically touch- THE Pulses of THE Scales and the raw authority of THE Causes.
