Chapter 5189: Choices I

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

In the higher reaches of existential engineering, it was understood that while THE First Cause was the singular, erupting ocean that made way for an entire THE Observable Existence, it was comprised of countless smaller THE Causes that functioned as the currents and the laws of that reality.

THE Desidero Cause governed the mechanics of wanting and desire, while THE Superbius Cause provided the structural integrity of sovereignty, yet there were others that THE Creature could feel humming within the Gaps...THE Letum Cause, which dictated the inevitability of endings, and THE Aeternus Cause, which anchored the static configurations of existence.

These smaller THE Causes were the threads that THE Gilded Ones utilized to sew their wills into the fabric of reality, drawing upon the specific weavings of THE First Cause to bolster their own engineered foundations.

THE Creature focused his gaze on a roaring THE Superbius Gilded One whose muscular physique was a testament to the vanity of his house, seeing his body differently compared to any other being as he peered through the golden skin to witness the glistening organs and the silver-etched bones.

He saw the seas of THE Observable Force moving through the target’s vessels and identified the clusters where Infinity was anchored, tracing the shimmering threads back to THE Causes from which the Gilded warrior was currently drawing his suffocating power.

With a motion that was both beautiful and horrifying, THE Creature swung his multicolored sword, the blade wreathed in the heavy and unyielding obsidian light of THE Primordial Source.

The obsidian light acted as a terminal shears, for as the blade passed through the local space, it proceeded to sever the metaphysical connections where this Gilded One was drawing his authority!

THE Creature cut him off from THE Causes, from THE Infinite, and even from the flow of THE Observable Force, leaving the warrior with nothing but his own engineered Ego to sustain him against the darkness of THE Undefined Gaps.

SQUELCH!

The multicoloured sword passed through the chest of THE Gilded One with a wet, heavy sound of tearing meat and cracking bone, and obsidian hooks formed upon the blade to anchor its position within the target’s foundations.

As THE Creature pulled the sword out with a violent wrench, a glistening heart and several iridescent organs erupted from the chest cavity in a spray of stellar light and crimson-gold blood!

THE Creature opened his mouth and allowed his own gravitational authority to pull these organs toward him, and he proceeded to brutally chew and devour them right away, the metallic tang of Gilded essence filling his senses while the crimson-gold fluid sputtered down his chin.

The Gilded One roared out in a mixture of shock and rising rage as his heart was consumed, but before THE Creature could enjoy the taste of his victory, three other of THE Gilded Ones layered multiple THE Pulses of THE Scales upon his position from above.

BOOM!

THE Creature’s body was smashed down into the depths of the Gaps with enough force to shatter any common Ordovician Paleozoic Scale entity, and he went crashing into the solidified and inverted obsidian mountain ranges that served as the floor of the Undefinition!

BOOM!

He slowly rose from the center of a massive, smoking crater while stretching his body with a tyrannical grace, the sound of his joints popping being the only noise in the sudden silence of the impact.

He noted that THE Gilded Ones remained terrifyingly powerful, for those attacks had caused him a genuine, destabilizing pain that made his existence flicker, but he welcomed the sensation as the familiar weight of hardship and adversity.

As such vile things as THE Gilded Ones were, they were undeniably powerful, and he knew he needed to pick them off one by one, isolating them and gaining as much of their information as he could before they labeled him a greater threat and deployed genuine monsters from THE Magna Sorora.

Step by step, he would climb.

THE Creature rose up again and looked toward the heights where THE Gilded Ones were circling their gravely injured comrade, and he voiced his thoughts with a voice that was as cold as the void between the stars.

"That’s one. Are the rest of you...ready to contribute, or are you going to continue standing there while I keep my... Momentum!"

BOOM!

His body surged upward like an incandescent, flaming obsidian blade that was ready to cut open the things that should have never been cut, and the darkness of THE Undefined Gaps was once again filled with the sound of a Young Relictus beginning his ascent!

---

Noah was finding out something about himself that he did not expect, for the long eons of his progression had typically been defined by the spectacular and the distant, grand weavings that kept his enemies at a distance while he unmade them with a variety of weavings of power.

For the past few years, he had fought with a variety of skills and abilities and spectacular weavings of existence that were brilliant and showy and a glorious spectacle to behold, ranging from the primal fury of fireballs and the grotesque architecture of abominations to the relentless legions of the undead.

He had mastered the capabilities of Sever, Indefatigable, and the depths of the True Sources, climbing all the way through the complexities of Principles, Ways, and the heavy authority of Civilizations and Infinity itself, yet more recent fights had him finding a peculiar satisfaction... in the visceral closeness of the struggle.

He found himself increasingly drawn to the sensation of utilizing his own hands and feeling the raw exertion of power and immensity as it translated directly into the physical collapse of his enemies, a realization that carried no trace of madness but rather a cold, pragmatic appreciation for the immediate feedback of violence.

There was an undeniable texture to bathing his hands in the very force of infinity or gripping the Spear of Civilization that held the weight of the entire Infiniverse, and feeling how the eon’s worth of advancements and the proud civilizations of his enemies shattered beneath his physical grip felt unexpectedly good!
