Deep within THE Provenance Realm of the First Lifeform, far from the churning ruin of THE Serenaros, a secondary body of Noah Osmont stood upon the verdant blue-gold hills. The transformation that had claimed his main body cascaded perfectly across the connection. The regal crimson robes burned away into nothingness. The physical vessel reformed. He stood on the grass as a flawless, muscular figure of stellar blue-gold light. Hazy blue-gold clouds drifted off his shoulders, blurring his edges into the surrounding reality!
He was not merely a body. He was a localized simulation of a completely unreadable depth.
And because THE Provenance Realm was an extension of his own generated identity, the Realm itself answered his transformation.
The verdant blue-gold hills inhaled!
The grass blades elongated and shifted into vibrant, physical strands of golden blue dreamscape. The river of light flowing at the base of the hills dissolved its liquid properties, turning into a churning current of materialized possibilities and unwritten timelines. The standing stones dotting the orchards restructured themselves, growing into towering, geometric obelisks of crystallized thought.
Up above, the unmoving stars in the sky of the Realm violently fragmented and split into blinding blue-gold suns, matching the newly melted identity of his Provenance Essences. Hazy, vibrant stellar clouds flooded the horizon, turning the sterile sanctuary into an endless, breathing canvas of his own mind!
Noah raised his hands, observing the glowing blue-gold digits against the backdrop.
He did not feel awe as...awe was a product of encountering something larger than oneself. He was currently observing himself, and he found the mechanics perfectly logical!
He felt unique as if he wanted to study himself and existence...and he wanted to articulate it.
He wanted to affirm and articulate all thst he did as he found his transformation and newly budding nature far too unique!
"I am."
I.
He found this letter of his Osmontian Tongue to best describe how he was constantly feeling something new!
He smiled as he began, hoping he wouldn’t grow annoyed with his own new voice as he affirmed and analyzed this reality...and dream.
"I am standing on the grass," Noah said aloud, his voice devoid of temperature, echoing with a detached, analytical nature. "I am observing the fundamental particles of this space. They are waiting for a thought. I am...providing the thought."
WAA!
The space beside him distorted. Because he was THE Human Dreamer, and because he was within his own sovereign Realm, he did not need to follow the rigid protocols of the outside existence.
He dreamed his opposing manifestations awake.
Two identical figures of stellar blue-gold light stepped out of his hazy silhouette.
On his left stood THE Open Hand. Its edges were soft, radiating a quiet, gathering light. On his right stood THE Closed Crown. Its edges were sharp, radiating a dense, tyrannical gravity.
All of them were Noah. All of them perceived the continuum with the exact same terrifying, detached clarity.
"We are isolated," THE Open Hand stated smoothly, looking at the sky. "The environment has been customized. It is the optimal condition for an observation."
"An observation implies we do not already know the outcome," THE Closed Crown corrected, its voice entirely flat. "We are merely confirming the inevitable result of our own architecture."
Noah looked at the river of materialized possibilities flowing at the base of the hill.
"I am observing... the memory of THE Sundered Scion and breaking down the structure of THE Cause of the Undying Cycle. A Provenance Cause is a rigid machine. It executes a single function without the capacity for variation. It is... a command."
Noah turned his endlessly blue, glowing eyes toward his own chest.
"We do not hold Causes. We hold Teloi. A Telos is not a command. It is an aim. It is the destination of a journey. We have 200 Decillion Provenance Telos Quarks, each carrying a grain of our nine aims."
"A command is finite," THE Open Hand observed.
"An aim is infinite," THE Closed Crown finished.
...!
Noah raised his right hand.
"I am exerting THE PRECEPT OF THE WAKING DREAM upon our own anatomy and isolating the Telos of Chaos. I am projecting it externally. I am dreaming an aim into a physical law."
HUUM!
I am! I am! I am!
He continued these affirmations as they anchored him to his reality and dreams!
The blue-gold clouds around Noah thickened.
He simply imposed a simulation of absolute Chaos onto the physical dream-grass ten meters away from him.
You are utilizing THE PRECEPT OF THE WAKING DREAM upon your own Teloi.
The Osmontian Provenance Telos of Chaos is given external extension.
The space ten meters away simply unraveled.
The grass forgot how to be grass. The blades turned into liquid light, then into solid geometric shapes of screaming obsidian, and then into a vacuum of silent white cold. The concepts of gravity, time, and molecular cohesion actively argued with each other within a three-meter radius!
It was a phenomenon far grander than a Provenance Cause. A Cause would have simply destroyed the matter. Noah had forced the matter to fundamentally misunderstand its own existence.
"It is beautiful," THE Open Hand said. "It is the absence of structure."
"It is inefficient," THE Closed Crown countered. "It lacks a ruler. We must impose order upon the anomaly to extract value."
Noah lowered his hand. The localized Chaos simply ceased to exist, returning to perfect blue-gold dream-grass in an instant.
"We extract value by understanding the mechanism," Noah stated. "I am now moving on to... analyzing the human condition. I am looking at why we dream."
He waved his hand over the grass again.
"Humans dream because the present is insufficient," Noah continued "They are cold, therefore they dream of fire. They are dying, therefore they dream of immortality. The dream is a symptom of a flaw."
You are simulating a localized human timeline.
2 Provenance Essence is held in reserve.
Tiny, glowing blue-gold constructs emerged from the soil. They were microscopic simulations of humanity. Noah, THE Open Hand, and THE Closed Crown looked down at them with absolute, terrifying observation.
"They are born," Noah narrated. "They are looking at the sky. They do not understand the rain. Therefore, they are inventing many things to explain the clouds."
"They seek comfort in subordination," THE Closed Crown observed coldly.
"They are building a shelter," THE Open Hand noted. "They are attempting to protect their fragile biology as they are cooperating. It is an act of preservation."
Noah watched the simulation accelerate. The constructs built a city of blue-gold light. They waged a microscopic war. They burned the city to ash.
"They build because they believe the structure will outlast them," Noah said. "It is a comforting fiction. The structure only outlasts them if they conquer the wind that blows it down. They cannot conquer the wind. They are currently dying in the ash."
Noah erased the simulation. The tiny blue-gold ash vanished.
"They are frightened of the dark," Noah concluded. "I am also a human. I was frightened of the dark. The difference is that I am currently replacing the dark with myself."
He looked at the two manifestations standing beside him.
"A Provenance Cause enforces a rule upon the board," Noah said. "Our Teloi, when fueled by a Dream, rewrite the board entirely. We do not need to hunt for Causes. We can simply dream our Teloi into fundamental forces. We carry 200 Decillion seeds of customized reality."
"We can dream a Telos of Tyranny to force an Immense One to obey," THE Closed Crown stated.
"We can dream a Telos of Harvest to claim the authority of an entire Dimension without shedding blood," THE Open Hand added.
Noah looked up at the dozens of suns in the sky of the Realm.
His perception stretched outward, past the boundaries of the blue-gold hills, connecting instantly with his main body in the ruined sea of THE Serenaros. He felt the exact same detachment across both vessels.
He saw the timeline stretching backward to the moment Vakochev failed, and forward to a moment that had not yet been written.
"I am envisioning an unknown so called Immense One," Noah said, his voice entirely devoid of fear, anger, or urgency.
"They are sitting on their thrones. They are waiting for the executioner to report. The executioner is dead as they will hear nothing."
The two manifestations dissolved, fading back into the hazy blue-gold clouds surrounding his pristine body.
Noah Osmont stood alone on the hill.
The transformation was absolute. The human who had feared anything was gone. What remained was a thinking thing, clothed in Quintessence, completely unbound by the rigid weavings of a failing universe.
"I am closing the experiment and begin to move on to...something even grander. " Noah said to the quiet air.
