The massive golden boundary of light separated the exterior reality from the interior immensity of the Vasiliou Elsemountain.
"Each of you must cross with your own power," Rosalia declared, her voice slicing through the heavy air as dense golden light spilled from the peaks above.
"Your own Provenance must prove your weight."
Thalia’s Vasiliou Bloodline boiled as she seemed about to erupt, her pristine features tightening in sheer defiance!
Noah observed the spike in her biological and conceptual aggression. He made no objection to her anger, merely raising his hand to gently squeeze hers.
"Go ahead," Noah said.
Thalia looked at him before she stepped forward as the golden boundary actively resisted! It was an arduous, crushing weight as vibrant waves of her own golden Provenance flared brilliantly to push back against the rigid laws of the Elsemountain.
She tore through the light, stepping onto the grass on the other side as she breathed hard, her chest heaving as she glared back at her mother.
In the next nanosecond, Rosalia stepped through without a fraction of a delay or effort as the barrier simply parted for her.
Noah looked at the older woman. His Protagonist’s Omniscient Regard returned only a wall of question marks. He knew he could exert THE PRECEPT OF THE WAKING DREAM to pull her information from the continuum, but it would require a temporary drain of his Essence. He evaluated the exchange rate and determined the knowledge was currently unnecessary.
He stepped forward.
He did not brace for impact or flare an aura. He simply closed his glowing blue eyes and exerted THE Provenance of THE Human Dreamer upon the localized weavings of the boundary.
He dictated that the golden barrier was not a rigid law of reality. He dictated that it was merely a dream, and he was the dreamer walking through it!
WAA!
THE PRECEPT OF THE WAKING DREAM is active.
2 Provenance Essence is held in reserve to overwrite the reality of the Vasiliou Boundary.
You are passing through the simulation.
Noah walked through the empty air as if the golden light did not even exist! He stepped onto the pristine grass beside Thalia, and he ceased the exertion.
The alteration of reality is released.
2 Provenance Essence is returned from reserve and ready for usage again.
...!
The silent shock on Rosalia’s face was absolute as she stared at THE True Human Emperor!
Noah looked toward her and nodded.
"I thank mother-in-law for the test of my worth on this mountain," Noah stated, his tone polite but echoing with a mocking, absolute-zero certainty.
"I hope you do not take this as a challenge and are more reasonable towards the lifeform your daughter chose. Because just maybe, her words of me being better than an Immense One, for her at least... they may hold some truth."
...!
Thalia inhaled sharply in shock as Noah boldly wrapped his stellar blue-gold arm around her waist, anchoring the vastness of the moment to the small, true warmth of her body.
He began walking forward, leaving Rosalia behind as the older woman’s eyes shone brilliantly! She looked at his back, and Noah could see her mind genuinely reevaluating the terrifying anomaly walking beside her daughter!
Would she actually be reasonable?
Thalia looked up into his endlessly blue eyes, her own filled with a mixture of worry and absolute alarm as she transmitted her voice solely for him to hear.
"You... you didn’t already unlock the identity of your Provenance, right? That would also be happening much earlier!"
It was a heavy question, and Noah processed its weight perfectly. He permitted a smile to break across his clinical features in silent affirmation as he looked ahead.
He had to look ahead.
Multiple terrifying gazes from different elevations of the mountain had already begun to lock onto them!
This was a glorious, unfathomable scene! Atop massive golden pillars carved directly into the slopes of the Elsemountain, Vasiliou Provenance Lifeforms could be seen sitting or floating in absolute majesty!
Each one pulsed with golden waves of Provenance that swirled around them like miniature galaxies!
Noah felt a tremendous, crushing pressure descending from one pillar in particular.
He looked up and observed a man with a crimson goatee and wild red hair floating atop the highest gold pillar, looking down at him with an authority that sought to flatten reality itself.
Noah processed the genetic markers and the spatial positioning, assuming immediately that this was Thalia’s father.
He kept his hand firmly around Thalia’s waist. He looked up at these apex predators, knowing with absolute certainty that none of them would show anything but question marks to his current Weavings, but he stood his ground! He was a localized simulation of an unreadable depth!
He felt Thalia steadying against his side. Her face became entirely firm as her own Provenance began to buzz with a vibrant, dangerous frequency. She looked up at the dozen powerful Provenance Lifeforms governing this mountain as Rosalia materialized on the golden pillar directly behind the man with the crimson goatee.
Thalia’s voice erupted, grand and explosive, echoing across the entire Vasiliou Elsemountain!
"Father, Mother, Elders," Thalia declared, her words rolling with supreme confidence. "I greet you on this grand day because I have found my other half. I also greet you to bring the news that my Provenance has shown me glimpses of the future. The future that Those Who Remain never like others glimpsing, as they curse many who even have the capability."
...!
Noah’s endlessly blue eyes pulsed briefly. He thought of Ulf.
"I have seen glimpses of multiple futures,"
Thalia continued vibrantly, her conviction absolute as her golden aura flared. "And any future where our cultivated Provenance, where my Provenance...is given to an Immense One, leads to our degradation and decimation!"
...!
The words struck the golden pillars like thunder!
"So I have taken it upon myself to change this," Thalia roared.
"I stand here today to say that for the Provenance of the Vasiliou Lineage to prosper, we do not need to have the favor of an Immense One... we need to birth an Immense One among us!"
BOOM!
The declaration shattered the heavy silence of the mountain!
Noah’s eyes shone with a dreamy, terrifying brilliance as he looked at the woman leaning against his side. She was navigating the rigid codes of her lineage with the exact same tyrannical ambition he possessed.
Truly, she was capable!
Seeing her like this made his own weavings surge as his own emotional and tyrannical side seemed to flare up from its slumber!
