The Cerberus, who had just had its attack charge abruptly halted, snarled and turned all three of its heads toward the golems ahead, its glare anything but friendly.“Muah! Come get me, baby,” Legion taunted at it, realizing that he got its undivided attention, as he re-aiming his weapon and opening fire.
Ting!!
Pulses of purple bullets tore through the air, one of the Cerberus’ heads snapped open and exhaled onto the section of its body still wrapped in ice.
As Black hellfire poured out from its mouth, the heat was extreme, far beyond what an ordinary flame could produce, and the ice corroded away rapidly, hissing and steaming as it melted down in seconds.
Meanwhile, the other two heads kept their focus on Legion, tracking the barrage with cold, predatory precision, while dodging the fast moving bullets but also unable to move forward.
Around them, the rest of the demonic beasts continued their charge, closing in on the golems, but these golems weren’t the same weaklings they used to be that they couldn’t handle Tier 7 demonic beast,
Now that they have all entered the peak ofTier 6 realm they all had a few skills they can use to escape a Tier 7 demonic beast and even a few combo skills to kill one when they were fighting with another golem at their sides. That’s how ridiculous it sounds.
One after another, they began summoning their minions to fill the gap in numbers, though they were fully aware that many of those summons would die the moment the clash began.
Still, with eighteen Low Tier 7 beasts coming at them, they couldn’t afford to hold anything back, so they saw their summons as cannon fodders in this war.
Then, right before the collision—The ground at the center of the battlefield bulged and split open as a shadow rift tore it open, and Alec’s werewolf form erupted out of it like a savage projectile, dragging the Wolf-Spider hybrid behind him.
He yanked the Nightveil Stalker forward with his right hand, then drove his left claw into its skull upside down and then he ripped upward in a brutal, bestial motion, ending its life instantly.
The hybrid went limp immediately after that happened.
“One down!” Alec growled, his gaze snapping toward Titan at the rear.
Above Titan’s head, he could see the experience bar still hung—a reminder of just how much was needed before evolution could begin, this was something that the system spirit had helped him activate
Alec only smiled, because he’d confirmed something important after his first battle in his werewolf form.
Low Tier 7 demonic beasts were no threat to him in this form, he didn’t just match them, he overwhelmed them in raw strength, speed, and violence, what unsettled him more was how natural it all felt.
The missing chunk of flesh from the Nightveil Stalker’s body... the torn ruin of its shoulder...
His golems didn’t need to guess to know what had happened, Alec had bitten into it.
A beast he once would’ve looked at with disgust, something too deformed to even touch, and yet in this moment, the act felt completely normal to him because to the werewolf such acts were a norm.
Seeing one of their own fall wasn’t what made the beasts hesitate and stop on their tracks, they stopped because of how Alec burst from the ground—sharp, unnatural, and violent enough to jolt their instincts.
But surprise alone wouldn’t stop them, the moment their shock passed, they surged forward again, hungry to tear him apart.
“Butcher—swing me,” Alec ordered as he retreated toward his golems, though it looked like he was running away from the oncoming stampede, but in truth, he was setting the angle.
The instant he reached Butcher, Alec thrust out his right hand, which Butcher caught with his own right hand without a word, pivoted hard, while dragging Alec’s massive werewolf frame through a tight arc—then hurled him back the way he’d come.
Bang!
This time the launch was even faster than the first dashing Alec had made when he went after the hybrid looking beast.
White-and-black light trailed behind him like a tearing comet as he shot straight into the midst of the Low Tier 7 beasts.
[> Mid Bloodline Skill — Eclipse Fenwolf — Light Claw Slash + Dark Claw Slash <]
He swung both claws through the air at once, as white and black hues bled from his fingertips, forming jagged, tear-shaped claw traces in mid-air that mirrored his motion, and then they snapped free immediately he released his hold.
As Four ripped claw marks from both left and right, black and white, tore forward, streaking toward the beasts he was about to crash into.
His earlier actions had already rattled them, so they scrambled to throw up defenses when he let out another surprise attack but not all of them were quick enough, as there were about three demonic beasts that were caught too close.
Two died almost immediately, but the third survived, a scorpion-type demonic beast, the claw rend carved into it, and it screeched as the impact shredded through its guard.
Seeing that one of his targets survived Alec didn’t pause, as the moment he landed closer, he slammed his right foot into the ground, using it like a transmitter he pushed his mana into the ground.
And the next moment the earth beneath the scorpion buckled, and then surged upward like a rising pillar diagonally, launching the beast into the air.
It flailed as it fell——but before it could recover, Hunter’s left hand snapped out to catch it, as a metallic sling hissed through the air, before clamping around the scorpion’s head mid-drop.
The steel cinched tight, as the beast shrieked again, suspended helplessly as Hunter held it aloft.
“Get down here,” Hunter growled, tugging his left arm back, as he yanked the scorpion beast lower, Legion swiftly appeared at his side, as he dropped his gun to the side of his right leg without hesitation, as he drove his hand down there were certain set up there that opened and strapped the huge gun in place there, while he swung his right hand sideways and his laser spear flashed into existence after being summoned from his right hand guard.
The scorpion’s body was dragged straight into the point where Legion was waiting for it, the spear met it, ruthless and clean, impaling the beast as it fell into its death.
Like that, the Low Tier 7 demonic beasts began to drop one after another around the battlefield, though it was costing the lives of the minion golems, but the main golems had grown used to fighting in pairs like this, moving in duos to end their opponents quickly, efficiently, and without giving them room to adapt to the diverse changes.
_ _ _
Nine minutes later, Alec and his golem squad finally finished the last of the Tier 7 beasts surrounding them, with the Cerberus nowhere to be seen, even the corpses of the first set of dead beasts have started to disappear slowly, since the Beast Forest’s ground began to absorb their fallen bodies, swallowing them as if they’d never existed.
Alec didn’t care about any of that, his major attention was locked on the system message he had received , because of the message the grin spreading across his face seems like it’s not going to go away soon.
[> X: Titan has accumulated enough EXP to evolve to the next rank, there was an overflow, so I diverted some to Legion and Oni. Legion has also reached the breakthrough stage. Check their evolution state.]
[> Start Titan’s Evolution into the Tier 7 realm (Y/N)]
[> Start Legion’s Evolution into the Tier 7 realm (Y/N)]
Two of them.
Both on the verge of evolution.
Alec’s smile widened, as his plan was working, and for once, the system wasn’t even asking him to pay points, it felt like a timely bonus, like the system itself was helping him.
So he didn’t hesitate.
He pressed Y for both, and that was when all hell broke loose.
[Merge has reached the limit for your current realm.]
[> In order for Titan to successfully awaken as an Ice Lord, he must be moved to a special ice training ground, or high-grade ice power stones must be used to accelerate the evolution process.]
[> In order for Legion to successfully awaken as an Overlord Cybernetic Golem, he must be moved to a unique special training region, or high-grade power stones drained of all elemental affinity must be used to accelerate the evolution process.]
