Chapter 1011: Changdao Second Seal + Lesser Sagurion Form 2.

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

In a normal situation, the one who activates their move late is supposed to be at a disadvantage, but this time, that rule did not seem to apply to Alec.

After he passed by the side of the alpha wolf, another trail of blood droplets followed behind him, hanging in the air in slow motion, a sharp contrast to the speed at which he was moving.

Before entering his current state, Alec’s agility stat was already in the three hundreds, which was something that Tier 7 mages would have a hard time defending against, and now after merging with the Lesser Sangurion Soul beast of his, his speed just seems to transcend into an entirely different dimension.

As for lacking the strength to match a Mid Tier 7 Alpha, that weakness no longer existed, because currently he was wielding a weapon forged from the Alpha’s own blood which means it is a strong enough weapon to inflict damage to the Alpha wolf, this was just another ability he gains due to the opening of the second seal, so as long as the Second Seal of the Blood Changdao active, he possessed more than enough power to kill the Shadow Wolf Alpha, because there was another passive that activates in his current state.

[Equipped with Blade-Type Weapon — Second Seal Effect Active]

[Blade Mastery: Advanced Lv.1]

— Weapon Damage Increased by 55%

Alec had almost forgotten that while in the Second Seal state, he gains a unique bonus based on the type of weapon he wields, and now that his Blade Techniques had entered the Advanced realm, he had become an extremely lethal threat, especially with the Blood Katana in his hand.

Still, while his attack power and attack speed had risen drastically, it did not change one fact—his endurance and defence in this form was lacking.

The next moment, Alec raised his trembling, broken and unstable left hand close to his mouth and inhaled, as a portion of the blood droplets trailing behind him flowed into his lips.

He couldn’t explain it, but the urge to taste the blood had been growing stronger by the second, unable to resist any longer, he let it touch his tongue, then the instant it did, Alec threw his head back, his expression lighting up in pure exhilaration, as the taste that invaded his tongue glands tasted unbearably sweet.

What he failed to notice, however, was that the hand he had been holding together with mana all along was now slowly healing much faster than he was expecting.

Naturally he had used his mana to bring them closer hoping they would heal on time considering the fact that his regenerative ability was significantly enhanced whenever he was in a bloodline form.

It was a basic trait of his Devourer bloodline, then when combined with the additional regenerative power of whatever bloodline form he was shaped into, that is what truly determined just how fast his healing became.

And now Alec was already on the verge of realizing that the Sangurion form might just possess the greatest regenerative ability among all the bloodline forms he had devoured.

Under naked eyes, the blood around his two broken hands began to pull toward each other, it didn’t stop there, the blood seemed almost eager to reconnect them.

Soon, Alec felt a sharp prickle, and when he looked down, he saw muscle fibers slowly knitting themselves together.

And an idea struck him, as he inhaled much longer now, drawing in all the blood still hanging in the air close to him, as if energized by a new source, the blood around his injured hand surged with renewed vitality, writhing and weaving as it stitched flesh, muscle, and bone back together.

Moments later, sensation finally returned to the left hand as he was completely healed with a small scar visible there, but it is clear that even the scar would soon disappear.

Alec flexed his left hand, opening and closing his fingers, testing it, until he was sure that it was fully functional.

While he was doing this, the Shadow Wolf Alpha, was frozen in its own daze, as its gaze remained fixed on the long, brutal scar that carved across its slicked furred body, unwilling to believe it had just been outpaced, utterly defeated in a contest of speed.

It tried to reassure itself. ‘That it was a Mid Tier 7 lifeform while the human before it was nothing more than a Peak Tier 6 mage’.

Yet when it lifted its head and met Alec’s pale red eyes, a shiver ran through its body, the wolf snarled, shaking itself violently, sleek fur bristling as it rejected that creeping fear.

Then it attacked again, this time, Alec felt no hesitation, not a trace of doubt.

As he coated his blade with Qi, and the blood-forged edge began solidifying and sharpening further, as he layered it with his innate flame aura, and the blade ignited.

Crimson fire blazed along its length as Alec twirled it casually at his side.

“Do you still doubt that I can kill you?” he asked calmly, his gaze locked onto the beast, however; the Shadow Wolf did not answer this time.

Instead, it just opened its jaws wide and released a condensed Beast Bomb—compressed into a dense, circular sphere that seems to be filled with dark energy, hurling it straight toward Alec.

In response, Alec snapped his left hand upward while chanting the Earth Wall spell, however it was clearly an enhanced version of the normal Earth Wall Spell, through constant use, the spell had long since entered the Mid ranks in his hands,

His proficiency of the spell had been pushed to the peak of the low tier which made it evolve, or as the system preferred to call it: experience.

When the wall surged from the ground, it was nothing like the ordinary Earth Wall he usually cast, the stone rose solid and dense, but veins of deep crimson ran through it, the earth itself stained red by his blood-infused mana.

Bang!!

Alec’s offensive power might now be overwhelming, and even though his defensive spells now carried traces of the blood power, it still didn’t change the fact that he was just learning to fully understand how this new sensation about blood meant.

Even so, the wall failed to completely stop the incoming Beast Bomb, after all one was a Mid-rank defensive spell augmented by blood, while the other was unmistakably a High-rank attack spell, there was no question there about which would prevail in the first place.

The earth wall held for only a few seconds before cracking and collapsing, but that was more than enough for Alec, because the impact had shaved off most of the Beast Bomb’s destructive force, therefore reducing it to something Alec could handle comfortably.

Without hesitation, Alec swung upward, his blade blazing with red-black flames, as he cleaved cleanly through what remained of the Beast Bomb as it passed him.

Two seconds later, the severed energies detonated harmlessly behind him.

At that moment, Alec tightened both hands around his Blood Katana and drew it close, angling the blade backward as if letting it rest along his spine.

The weapon began to shift and reshape in his grip, its form flowing and reconfiguring until it mirrored his Changdao perfectly—every curve, every etched detail, down to the red, ruby-like sheen.

Because it was a weapon he wielded day in and day out, his understanding of it was far deeper.

And with that understanding, the effect of his second seal changed.

[Equipped With a Sword-Type Weapon; Second Seal Powers Applied]

[Sword Mastery: Advanced Lv.1]

— Attack Speed increased by 55%

But right after the change, the Shadow Wolf Alpha ambushed him from behind.

It burst out of his own shadow and sank its fangs into Alec’s leg immediately.

Alec groaned in pain feeling the strength in that leg about to give in too just like his left hand did earlier and immediately he twisted, thrusting his blade downward toward it.

The moment the Blood Changdao came close, it was swallowed by a rippling shadow veil that surrounded the shadow wolf defensively, causing the sword strike to fail to connect.

The Shadow Wolf tried to retreat, and its body was already starting to sink back into the darkness, but the earth beneath its feet surged upward and clamped down on it, crushing around its limbs and forcibly canceling the escape spell that the Alpha wolf was trying to do.

The Alpha froze.

It lifted its head and locked eyes with Alec.

“You know, this is not your base anymore which means my spells are not as weak as it was in the dark forest and i have seen that escape technique a couple hundred of times so clearly i made a counter measure, so you best believe when I say you’re not going anywhere,” Alec roared, as he began driving his blade forward with even more force, pushing against the shadow veil as he tried to break through it and kill the Alpha Shadow wolf before it could vanish into the darkness again and escape.
