Chapter 1014: The Birth Of The Ice Lord Golem 1.

Alec was seeing himself in the Sangurion form for the first time, and he had to admit, he looked extremely handsome.

Not that he had changed drastically, not really, it was more about the way everything came together, the pale skin, the slightly elongated ears, the longer fangs that subtly protruded from his mouth, his hair, and especially his red eyes.

Those eyes weren’t blazing or feral, they were calm, deep, and strangely captivating.

He couldn’t help thinking of Damien and realized that he too had always been able to draw attention effortlessly, especially from females, that led Alec to one clear conclusion: the Bat-type demonic beast bloodline seems to have enhanced his charm in a way even he couldn’t fully explain.

It felt absurd, a demonic beast that was supposed to be ugly, grotesque, and terrifying somehow added elegance and allure to his appearance.

Even knowing that the Sangurion had connections to one of the strongest branches of the undead clan, the vampires, he still found it ridiculous.

Apart from granting him a powerful boost in blood affinity, the Sangurion bloodline also granted him Sound affinity, though he still hadn’t used it yet, mostly because he didn’t understand its fundamentals, but he had already benefited from a special passive ability tied to it.

His ears could now detect attacks faster than even his mental sense that spread around him, before his danger signals even reached his mind, his hearing seems to react to it first.

It was almost like echolocation, an instinctive spatial awareness born from sound manipulation, the ability fascinated him.

He already planned to ask the Grand Elder about it when he had the chance, while lost in thought, Oni and Magnito had already reached him and greeted him, as Alec merely waved them off lightly.

Then a new notification appeared before him.

[> Titan has successfully evolved into the Tier 7 realm.<]

Alec finally let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding, he wasn’t the only one who noticed, all the golems around him turned their gazes toward the ice-special region.

Because they could all see a massive pillar of evolution light erupted into the sky, far stronger than before, and beside it, another beam of evolution light rose as well.

“It seems one of Titan’s minions is entering the Tier 6 realm as well, I fear we’ll have to advance there quickly to help him fend off the demonic beasts of the Ice Region,” Legion said gravely.

“Titan’s evolution light alone is already enough to attract beasts from the inner regions of the forest; now that one of his golems is also evolving along with him, the disturbance will only grow larger; if they interfere with his body reconstruction, his evolution could fail.”

“You go ahead first,” Alec said immediately, as he knew Legion was far faster than any of them and could reach the Ice Region in the shortest possible time.

It was clear to Alec now that Titan’s evolution had only truly begun after all ten of Legion’s captain-ranked cybernetic summons had arrived at the Ice Region, which showed that their presence must have eased the pressure on the remaining golems, allowing Titan’s breakthrough to finally push forward.

Since Legion had just completed his own evolution, Alec trusted his judgment completely, so if Legion believed they had to be there, then they truly had to be there.

At Alec’s approval, the compacted glider wings that had folded behind Legion earlier began to unfold back, the first pair spread wide, and then a second pair emerged just beneath them.

Legion lightly pushed off the ground as the thrusters embedded in his wings ignited with heat, blasting him into the air, he immediately twisted mid-flight, then aligned himself with the direction of the Ice Region, before shooting forward like a meteor.

Those left on the ground could only stare in awe at his speed.

“Even though I’ve seen this before, I still can’t help being jealous of his speed,” Magnito muttered while standing atop his floating surfboard.

“Let’s move too,” Alec said, as he took to the air without hesitation.

The moment he did, a wing formed from condensed blood energy materialized behind him, spreading wide and stable.

It granted him tremendous speed and perfect balance, making aerial navigation feel effortless.

At first he was quite shaky, but as time passed he grew more proficient with it, when he reached the bridge that led to the Ice Region, he began to descend.

And the blood wing, which looked like an enlarged bat wing formed entirely of blood, disintegrated in midair as he glided downward, he then activated his gravity control to cushion his landing as purple waves spread out as he was dropping, then dashed forward, breaking through the veil that separated the Ice Region from the rest of the world.

What greeted him made his breath catch.

Not far from him were the rest of his surviving golems, they were clearly injured, yet the light in their eyes still burned brightly, unwavering.

Above them, levitating in the air, was a massive glacier of ice that housed Titan, though it was not as enormous as the glaciers that sank deep into the seas, but it was still colossal.

And from the evolution light that shot into the sky, Alec finally understood why Legion had been so worried.

Titan’s evolution was acting like a beacon, openly broadcasting its location to everything that could sense mana.

Surrounding the main glacier were ten much smaller glaciers, and each of them was connected to the central one, as thick strands of mana flowed like luminous veins from the huge glacier into the smaller ones, while the main body itself was drawing an overwhelming amount of energy from the Ice Region.

With such a terrifying concentration of mana gathered in a single place, and with that power being broadcast so openly by the evolution process, Alec finally understood why the demonic beasts would always be drawn to them.

Because no matter who the evolution was meant for, it did not change one fundamental truth:

Because they were all demonic beasts, and a beast’s first instinct was evolution.

They chased the limits of their race, driven by the hunger to grow stronger, no matter the cost.
