#Capital City

In the capital city, Alec’s figure, clad in dark clothing, finally arrived at the Space Axis zone, it was unlike anything he had ever seen. There were more than twenty different Space Axes operating at the same time, each one responsible for teleporting different sets of people to different cities.

However, he was met with a long queue, and because he was heading to Estonia City, which was considered a low-rank city by nature, the official in charge of teleportation took their time with him and acted arrogantly, deliberately slowing his progress.

Under normal circumstances, Alec would never have tolerated such treatment, he would have caused a scene without hesitation, but now was not a normal day.

No one had realized he was gone yet, and he wanted it to stay that way for as long as possible, if he stirred trouble, all it would do was draw the attention of the top officials of the Northern Kingdom.

And once that happened, it wouldn’t take long for them to find out his identity and inform the Grand Dean that a student of his institution was causing disturbances in the capital.

That would be no different from setting a beacon for old man Alderic to find him, something Alec had absolutely no intention of doing.

So he acted meekly and patiently with the officials, eventually, after wasting enough of his time, they finally allowed him to use the Space Axis once he paid the required Power Crystal fee.

Clearly, Alec was not lacking in wealth, with his current dealings with the academy and the auction he had hosted in his clan, his finances were more than stable.

He always made sure that for every batch of pills he refined, at least one or two were paid for in magic crystals at full market value, it was his way of steadily accumulating wealth.

Even though he believed money could never compare to the value of a carcass, there were still things money could achieve that a carcass never could.

That was precisely why he had requested a portion of the profits from the auction he helped run, as those funds were what he used to pay the enforcers who served as guards, the ladies who worked as waitresses, and the workers who pushed carts and handled the transportation of goods on the auction day.

He had always kept a reserve of magic crystals for moments exactly like this, an emergency fund he could rely on whenever things became inconvenient.

Luckily for him, it seemed that not many people from the capital traveled to Estonia City using teleportation, as most of those associated with Estonia City simply couldn’t afford the Space Axis fees and instead traveled by land.

That alone put Alec’s mind at ease, as it meant he didn’t have to worry about anyone accompanying him, he strongly believed that the moment he stepped out of the Space Axis in Estonia City would not be a pleasant one, so it was far better that no one would be tagging along with him.

_ _ _

The City Lord looked toward the skies, a deep sense of satisfaction filling his heart, he was glad he had taken the extra step of hiring a Tier 8 mage from the Dark Guild, even when he had already thought his forces were more than enough.

If he hadn’t done so, he truly doubted he would feel this secure facing the Gordons Clan, to him, their display felt nothing more than the final struggle before annihilation.

“Kill them all!” The City Lord commanded as a sword appeared in his hand, as he floated into the skies, moving to intercept George Gordons, with the other two Tier 8 mages following closely behind him.

“Are you ready to die, George?” the City Lord asked, his eyes shifted, becoming reptilian in nature, though the rest of his body remained human.

“Worry about yourself first,” the Gordons Clan Patriarch replied.

With his left hand, he slightly drew his katana from its scabbard, then he placed his right hand against the exposed edge of the blade, letting it cut into his skin just enough for blood to flow.

“Come out.”

For the first time in ages, three swirling portals slowly formed behind the Gordons Patriarch, their rotations heavy and ominous, as if announcing the imminent emergence of his three greatest golems, which were called the big three.

One of the portals looked like a cluster of black smoke edged with crimson, from it stepped a bulky black knight, with a greatsword strapped across its back, its knightly armor seemed to be crafted from dark metal, while the edges of the armor seems to be glowing with a sinister red light.

As if its presence alone wasn’t threatening enough, it was also radiating a Tier 7 aura.

Then came the second portal, a swirling mass of white smoke, from it emerged a golem crafted entirely from white stone, every muscle on its body looked as though it had been carved meticulously by a master sculptor, as each body part looked more like flesh due to the humanoid set-up.

Apart from the two eyes on its head, it had no other facial features—no mouth, no nose, no ears.

In contrast, the golem that resembled a death knight had a single blazing eye visible through its helmet, a deep crimson glare that felt both daring and ominous.

With the appearance of these two golems which were both at The Tier 7 realm , all eyes suddenly shifted toward the third portal unconsciously, which seemed to be a fusion of black and white energy.

Many had heard of the Patriarch’s Big Three, but only a handful of people had ever seen all three and lived to tell the tale, unless they were members of the Gordons Clan themselves.

Clearly, most of the City Lord’s army had never seen even one of the Gordons Patriarch’s golems, let alone all three, this was the first time they were witnessing the legend of the Gordons clan even summon a Golem.

“Clack!!!! Did you miss me?”

From the third swirling portal came two distinct voices at once, as two Tier 6 golems that looked like twisted clowns stepped out.

One wore black attire with splashes of white added to its design, even its nose being white. The other was its opposite: a white body marked with black patterns, and a bulging black nose.

“Because we missed you, George!” The two clown golems finished in unison.

Those watching found it hard to comprehend what they were seeing, because not only were they Two golems coming out from the Patriarch’s last portal, but the fact that they were capable of speech and that glaring intelligence made the scene even more unsettling.

Some of them even began to question whether those two were truly golems at all, their bodies didn’t seem to be formed from mana, elemental properties, or stone like the other two.

Instead, they looked far more like living creatures than magical constructs that had been given life, with the appearance of those four golems, the Fourth Elder finally summoned his own golem—a Tier 6 Wood Golem.

But it didn’t stop there, one after another, the rest of the Gordons Clan elders who hovered in the air began to summon their golems as well.
