Chapter 1025: The War We Have Been Waiting For - Arrival.

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

As for the Third Elder, his golem merged with him immediately turning him into a golden battle mage, the Second Elder had two identical Iron Golems standing behind him which both wield rusty swords.

As for the Fifth Elder, he was still seated atop his Tier 7 Tiger Golem, while the Tier 6 golem had a black blob levitating silently behind him, though the golem was only giving a Peak Tier 6 aura , but it still looked dangerous just standing beside its master.

The strange thing was that both the Sixth and Second Elders were giving off Tier 7 auras, yet those auras were unstable, it was only after rising into the skies that the City Lord realized they were not truly Tier 7 mages, but rather mages standing at the very border of entering the High Rank realms.

They were so close. Clearly, if they had possessed the proper resources, they would already have stepped into the High Ranks, looking at the elders before him, he understood that the Gordons Clan could no longer be classified as a Mid-Tier clan.

Their power was already brushing against the threshold of the weaker High-Rank clans, he knew the only thing they were lacking were proper cultivation resources and they might have even surpassed their current progress.

“Attack!” The City Lord commanded angrily, and the fifteen Tier 7 mages surged forward he had under him along with the five that was given to him from the branch clan dashed forward, targeting everyone except the Gordons Clan Patriarch, as his other two golems moved down to help the other Gordons elders.

As this happened, the Fourth Elder casually swung the spear in his left hand sideways, swatting away the mages rushing toward him as if they were nothing more than insects.

With them removed from the fray, he lifted himself higher into the air and came to stand beside the Patriarch, who remained motionless, calmly waiting for the City Lord and the other two Tier 8 mages before him to make their move.

[> Bloodline Transformation – Second Stage.]

At last, the City Lord made his move.

As Green, glistening scales rapidly spread across his body, forcefully pushing his realm from Mid Tier 8 into the High Tier 8 domain, the moment this happened, the Gordons Patriarch finally acted as well.

[> Low Tier Spell – Merge.]

“Finally, we get to play,” the two clown-like golems that swirling in the air spoke in unison as they shot toward him.

In the next instant, they appeared to slam directly into his body, as black and white dust erupted outward, swallowing the space where he once stood, before dispersing as quickly as it had formed.

When the dust finally settled and George Gordons came back into view, he looked completely different.

He seemed to have been split into a combination of two colors, the left side of his hair was pitch black, completely mismatched with his age, while the right side of his head was pure white.

Even his robe had changed, following the same pattern, on the black side, faint touches of white were woven into the fabric, while on the white side, thin streaks of black traced the details.

In his right hand was a mask, and the moment the smoke cleared, he raised it and placed it over his face, and it latched on instantly, as though it were not a mask at all but a painted extension of his skin.

It was a white mask carved with black curves around the eyes, mouth, and nose, the nose in particular shaped into an exaggerated, clown-like form.

What made it even more unsettling was its expression, the left side of the mask, matching the black half of his body, was locked in a deep frown, while the right side, aligned with the white, was twisted into a wide, laughing smile.

[> Gemini Power – Dual Personalities <]

The instant George completed his casting, his aura changed, he was no longer emitting the pressure of a Peak Tier 7 mage. Instead, a solid, undeniable Low Tier 8 aura spread from him.

At that moment, almost everyone from the City hall attack army understood the truth, the so-called Big Three Golems of the Gordons Patriarch had never truly been three.

There were four, and two of them were not meant to fight beside him, but to merge with him, and they started to think that maybe the story of “three” had always been an agenda, a veil casted by the Gordons Clan to hide the fact that their Patriarch could fuse with his golems and further augment his power.

“So this is what you’ve been relying on all this time that gave you confidence to defy me,” the City Lord said coldly.

“This little trick that pushes you into the Tier 8 realm temporarily, but right here and now, I’ll erase you and show you that there are levels within Tier 8 that can’t be reached just by forcing your way into a new realm.”

Though his words were filled with contempt, deep inside he was shaken, the fact that the Gordons Clan Patriarch had truly stepped into Tier 8 had caught him off guard.

At the same time, a sense of grim relief washed over him, as he felt that if he delayed his attack any longer, he could no longer say with certainty who would have emerged victorious from this clash that was about to begin.

But while the City Lord was busy overthinking, George did not grant himself that luxury, he moved immediately, as he forced the scabbard down and drew his katana with his right hand, swinging upward in a sharp diagonal slash.

A black Sword Qi burst forth in a violent arc, caught off guard, the City Lord raised his left hand in a high guard, relying on his confidence in his dragon scale defenses.

But the moment the attack connected, his expression changed, as he realised that he had greatly underestimated George.

The black-tinged light of the Sword Qi bit deep, cutting far more viciously than he expected, as a searing pain tore through his arm, and for an instant he felt as though his entire left hand might be severed if he delayed even a fraction longer.

Reacting instantly, he raised his sword and blocked the katana from pushing deeper into his bones while pushing himself backward through the air, and forcing space between them.

“What the hell are you doing? Come support me!” the City Lord barked at the other two Tier 8 mages, but when he glanced in their direction, his expression darkened.

They were being held back by a single mage, though he wanted to believe they should have overwhelmed him easily, but he saw how the mage’s wooden golem fought in perfect coordination with its master.

Together, they stubbornly dragged the battle with the two Tier 8 mages out, refusing to be pushed aside.

“Ah, fuck it,” the City Lord spat.

“You might have the upper hand now, but look below, your Tier 7 mages are struggling, and those in lower realms are already dying. Let’s see how long you can last before my reinforcements arrive. Today I shall make sure you die along with your clan.”

As he spoke, the right side of George’s mask twitched, showing a flicker of emotion before snapping back into its frozen, painted grin, then the left side moved, its frown deepening.

“I’ll kill you before then,” George said coldly.

He drew his blade fully and clashed against the City Lord once more while gripping his katana with his left hand this time, their swords collided again and again, as sparks and dark light bursting with every impact as they exchanged rapid strikes while shuffling through the air.

“George, if you don’t finish this quickly, you better believe I’m going to die!” the Fourth Elder shouted, as he was in the worst position of all, forced to fight two opponents alone, while being at the Peak Tier 7 realm, though he said he would stall two Tier 8 but he hadn’t expected that one of them would be a Dragonmir clansman being able to push his realm with a minor Push after transforming.

“Move!” the Patriarch commanded as he cast Gravity Pull, dragging the Dragonmir clansmen toward his side, caught completely off guard, the mage was unable to resist and was forcefully pulled through the air, straight toward the battlefield where the Gordons Patriarch was locked in combat with the City Lord.

At the same time, the Space Axis of Estonia City began to flash with brilliant light, as the guards stationed there stiffened, confusion crossing their faces as they wondered who could be arriving at the city at such a dire time.

This was not something that happened often, since Estonia City was only a low-rank city that expected less visitors, much less through the Space Axis.

But the moment the swirling light faded and they saw the mage who emerged, their hesitation vanished.

Without a second thought, they struck the bell beside them, its sharp echo rang out across the city hall, warning every mage within the city that an invasion-level threat had appeared at the Space Axis.
