“I would love to fight with you another time again in the future, my master is the reason I’m restrained to such limits,” Patches said as he bent down to pick up Beatrice’s body.“Well, next time I might have to go all out from the very beginning, because now that I know how much of a threat your master poses, and with me knowing much more about you now, I doubt you guys can win, as i would never give you the chance to even gain an advantage" the merged Takeda replied slightly implying that he might have held back during the battle.
“Well, hopefully we cross swords again.” With those last words, Patches gently handed Beatrice over to Brandon, who was already waiting at the edge of the battle ring to receive his teammate.
Afterward, Patches’ body blurred and returned to the coffin, the door creaked shut on its own once he entered.
While the merged version of Takeda then walked calmly into the still-open Wind Gate as the crowd erupted into loud cheers, although the School of Silent Night had won, many of the other participating mages that were observing the battle felt they had gained valuable information about Takeda’s abilities.
Though they still didn’t know his true limits, but it was now clear he could merge two bodies to reach Low Tier 7 mage strength.
And at the moment, they believe only one other mage seemed capable of matching him properly — and that was Ren, the captain of Shinsei Academy, mainly because of the fact that he could summon a spirit with Tier 7-level prowess.
Even then, matching Takeda and defeating him were two very different matters.
After all, aside from the two bodies that merged, there were still others main bodies remaining that have not even made their appearances, the vague possibility that more could merge or that the remaining bodies could combine with the current form made many uneasy, and Mages often feared the unknown most.
“TAKEDA!!!”
While competing teams worried about facing the seemingly unstoppable School of Silent Night, the crowd itself had no such concerns, they simply roared his name in excitement.
As those who supported the School of Silent Night began cheering loudly, they used the moment to air out their pent-up emotions, to them, it felt more like relief than pure celebration, because Patches had genuinely scared them.
For a brief moment, they had wondered what would happen if things didn’t go as expected, but now that the School of Silent Night had secured the win, nothing else seemed to matter much to them.
The fans quickly began bragging, claiming Takeda could have ended the match from the very beginning if he had simply merged his main bodies earlier.
Some even insisted the battle dragged on only because he wanted to have fun, making all sorts of excuses for him, yet when they tried to rub it in the faces of the fanatic War God supporters, those fans had little to say.
In their hearts, the supposedly unbeatable team had finally lost, and one question lingered among many of them — where exactly was Alec Gordons?

The remaining two matches of the day carried just as much noise and anticipation as the first, but unlike that opening clash, no one could confidently predict a winner.
In the second match, Bloodline Academy faced the Blade Clan team, despite the Blades arriving fully prepared and determined to push for victory, things didn’t go as planned right from the start.
Carmilla and Damien dashed forward, their eyes glowing with a crimson hue as Damien used his blood control to conjure a blood scythe for Carmilla.
Not far behind them, Dragov advanced while dragging his massive greatsword along the ground, while Connor and Kira moved along the wings behind them
Seeing such a direct and aggressive formation clearly aiming for a head-on clash, Kaelus immediately dashed forward to intercept Dragov.
In his mind, he intended to blast past the two fighters in front, believing they weren’t his real targets, he believed only fighting the captain of the other team was his main purpose.
But there was just one major problem, he wasn’t coordinating with the rest of his team. Charging forward like that without support would only get him surrounded.
Seeing him recklessly rushing into danger, especially after the elder had repeatedly warned them that only teamwork would secure victory, left Aeron feeling helpless. Kaelus had acted as if he listened earlier when the elder had scolded them both, yet now that the battle had begun, he was doing the exact opposite.
And the truth was simple — Kaelus was deliberately forcing Aeron’s hand, he knew Aeron wouldn’t leave him stranded.
As he closed in, Carmilla swung her Blood Scythe, aiming to cleave him straight down the middle. Kaelus reacted instantly, sliding on his knees as the crimson blade swept just inches from his face.
But Carmilla wasn’t about to waste the chance to strike down someone of captain-level standing, as she dug her foot into the ground, gripped the scythe with both hands, reversed its direction, and swung it back toward him.
At the same time, her brother Damien, who was positioned slightly behind her and facing the sliding Kaelus, extended his right index finger and cast a low-tier spell almost instantly.
[> Low Bloodline Spell – Blood Needles <]
At such close range, it looked impossible for Kaelus to evade the ten blood needles that formed and shot toward him, yet just before both the scythe and the blood needles could connect, a body suddenly flew into their midst.
Aeron had been launched forward by Darius Blade who had propelled him ahead, after gripping Aeron’s arm, twisting, and releasing him, Darius effectively hurled him forward like a projectile rather than a teammate.
Aeron reached the center with both short swords already drawn, the moment he arrived, he twisted his body and kicked Kaelus forward on his back, sending him toward Dragov — almost as if he were saying, “since you’re so eager to face the enemy captain, go ahead and fulfill that wish.”
In the process, Aeron managed to block Carmilla’s scythe, but he wasn’t able to stop all the blood needles, although he deflected most of them, a few still slipped through his defense.
