Clang!

Titan raised his mace to defend against the Great sword, but the ice weapon shattered in the process because Earth Takeda had struck a vulnerable point with enough force, however he didn’t stop there as the blade continued downward until it finally struck Titan’s left shoulder, driving him down onto one knee.

“Take that, you block of ice,” Earth Takeda said, but instead of replying to him, Titan just wrapped his left hand around Takeda’s own before casting a spell.

[> Mid Tier Spell — Ice Clone Escape <]

In an instant, his semi-kneeling body transformed into a faceless ice sculpture before Earth Takeda’s eyes.

Confusion flashed across his face, as he could not comprehend how such a thing had happened, then he heard a creaking sound, followed by a soft thud, as a massive surge of ice particles rose not far from the sculpture, and in the next instant, Titan’s body reformed there completely unharmed.

Earth Takeda felt a surge of frustration, and that was because of the fact that he was still entangled with the ice sculpture clone, which seemed to have been made from crystallized ice, as if that were not enough, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t seem to wrench his trapped hand free from the lock.

The only way out would have been to sever his own left arm, but he had no intention of doing that, So he banked on Wind Takeda, who was already attacking again as his chance to escape, because if Titan was knocked out then his spell would be reversed which would leave him free.

Wind Takeda returned at once, launching another horizontal slash coated in razor-sharp wind energy, in response, Titan swung out as well, an ice mace materializing in his hand mid-motion.

Seeing Titan hastily create a mace to meet his attack like that, Wind Takeda smiled slyly, believing he would finally gain the upper hand in this exchange, and he was not wrong.

However, there was one slight miscalculation on his part, Titan had done all of that just to make him feel that way, and that is because Titan had noticed that, although each avatar was different in its own way, they all shared the same trait—overwhelming confidence, a belief that they were stronger than anyone else in the same realm.

So at this moment, he was deliberately preying on that overconfidence, when his mace struck the sword, it shattered into brittle shards without even offering much resistance, but what Wind Takeda had not expected was that, even after the mace shattered, Titan was still able to control it.

With a slight motion of Titan’s hand, which was now glowing with an icy blue aura, the shattered fragments in the air became even sharper as his mana coated around them, then all of them shot straight toward Wind Takeda.

The attack caught him off guard, but he reacted quickly by thrusting out his hand and bending the wind in the air to his will, trying to overturn the shards and deflect them away from him, however, his mental control and power were not on the same level as Titan’s.

A few ice shards broke through the wind veil he had raised.

“Ahhh!” Wind Takeda cried out, staggering backward as some of the ice shards lodged into his eyes, while the others pierced his skin and spread frost across him, on the other side, seeing how much pain Wind Takeda was in, Earth Takeda finally decided to step in.

He cast the Earth Fang spell on himself, sacrificing his left hand by cutting it off in order to break free and move to Wind Takeda’s aid, he gritted his teeth through the pain as he re-conjured another earth axe and was about to swing it toward Titan, who had been moving in to finish Wind Takeda off.

But the moment Titan noticed Earth Takeda had broken free, he twisted mid-motion and swung out his hand again, this time another ice mace materialized in his hand, this one, however, had an ice chain attached from the handle all the way to the spike ball, allowing him to close the distance and ensure his strike reached Earth Takeda before the axe could connect.

Boom!

A loud sonic crack rang out as Titan’s backhand attack struck Earth Takeda square in the jaw, knocking him out cold, but Titan had no intention of leaving any loose ends this time, in the next instant, he appeared before him, after he had slid across the ground as though on skates, though his speed made it seem almost instantaneous to those watching from the crowds.

He used his left hand to hold the Earth avatar’s head before it could hit the ground, and in one continuous motion, he drove his right hand straight into its neck, killing it instantly.

Blood stained his icy blue hand as it emerged from the other side of the Earth avatar’s throat.

Earth Takeda finally opened his eyes from his dazed state, due to overwhelming pain, he was unable to believe what he was feeling, life was slipping away from him slowly, he knew he had been killed, so he just simply closed his eyes and left the rest of the battle to the remaining avatars.

As Earth Takeda’s body began to disintegrate, brown particles drifted all the way toward the Progenitor body.

“Noooooo!”

Wind Takeda, who had finally regained some clarity, opened his bloodshot eyes only to see Titan pulling his hands away from the already disintegrating body.

“I’ll kill you!” Wind Takeda roared, launching two rapid slashes from different angles, Titan deflected them one after another, by raising a hand each in turn and redirecting the attacks with the guards on his arms, the moment he blocked the final strike, he saw Wind Takeda leap into the air and plunge his Katana downward, in an aim to pierce him.

“You just don’t learn, do you?” Titan said, thrusting out his left hand to meet the blade, the weapon pierced through his hand before he switched it to the side letting it slide down until its hilt pressed against his palm.

Without even trying too hard, he clamped down with his left hand, gripping Wind Takeda’s arm. Wind Takeda’s face flashed with surprise, but it was already too late to escape, as an ice spear had been conjured in his free hand.

The crowd watched as Titan drove it forward, aiming straight for Wind Takeda’s chest in the same piercing motion that had just been directed to him moments ago, in a frantic defense, Wind Takeda moved his own left hand, trying to sacrifice it to stay alive just like Titan had done.

But then he noticed that the two of them were already sliding across the slick ice-covered ground, and before he knew it, his back was slammed against a hard rock, which caused him to be disoriented which gave Titan the chance he needed to then plunge the ice spear straight into him.

Wind Takeda choked, struggling to breathe as he was impaled. It seemed like he had something to say, but every time he opened his mouth, only blood spilled out.

“Just lie down and die in peace,” Titan said. He turned and realized he was the last to finish his battle, the other Takeda avatars had already been dealt with by the other golems present, then he watched as Wind Takeda’s essence drifted through the air toward the Progenitor body, which still hovered in midair.
