But despite reacting quickly to avoid being struck while still numb, a state which left him extremely vulnerable, he was still a bit slower than usual, after all, it was the adrenaline rush that had allowed him to jab Butcher away, since he didn’t want the paralysis to last any longer.

Even as Legion closed the distance, he still wasn’t done with constructing his new weapon, with Takeda’s body still partially paralyzed, Legion decided to seize the opportunity to create something worth the chance that Butcher had fought to give.

Instead of rushing in recklessly, he began crafting a missile-type weapon, one that is specifically designed to deliver massive damage in a very short time frame, and the weapon he had in mind and formed was known as the Storm Rack.

The moment its construction was complete, Legion hoisted it onto his shoulder, it was long and rectangular, with multiple missile heads protruding from the front and a grip positioned near the center for stability.

Seeing Legion preparing such an attack, Takeda struggled to regain full control of his body because he had seen the effects of the attacks done from the weird weapons Legion normally uses.

But he quickly realized it would take a few more seconds before he could move freely again, however it wasn’t like Legion would wait for him to be in a proper situation before attacking, he immediately pulled the trigger when he was in a much better position.

Shiiill!!!

A sharp, piercing sound rang out as the missiles launched out in rapid succession, the recoil from the weapon was so immensely powerful that it pushed Legion backward mid-air and even spun him around.

Watching this, many in the crowd wondered how the projectiles would even hit their target with such unstable firing, but their doubts didn’t even last long.

As they watched the missiles adjusted themselves mid-flight—Tracking, almost like they were locked onto Takeda, and with no barriers or obstacles in their path, they had no problems as they homed in on him effortlessly.

Bang!!

By the time the first missile reached him, Takeda had finally regained enough control over his body, but it was too late for him to make a proper counter, all he could do was raise his arms in an X-shaped guard in front of him—And brace for impact.

One by one, the remaining seven missiles followed the first, slamming into Takeda, each impact compounded the last, the explosions stacking into a massive sphere of fire that grew more violent with every hit.

The air itself seemed to tremble, the force of the blasts rippled outward, shaking everything, even the spectators outside the arena could feel the vibrations, and it left many of them stunned at the output of the damage.

Then—A body came crashing down from the sky at incredible speed.

Bang!

Before it could hit the ground—A red blur shot upward to meet it, and that blur just happened to be Alec, the moment the Storm Rack’s impact forced Takeda downward, Alec had already gathered Flaming aura power into his right fist which had been covered by the stone fist spell and launched himself upward.

He then struck a clean punch, which landed squarely on Takeda’s jaw, for a brief moment, everything seemed to slow down, as the crowd watched as if time itself had stretched, the impact unfolding in near slow motion.

Then—Reality snapped back, as Alec twisted midair and drove a powerful kick into Takeda’s abdomen, sending him flying in a completely different direction.

Boom!!

The sound of structures being destroyed echoed one after another.

One building—Then another—By the fourth, Takeda finally regained control, hardening his body and halting himself mid-air just inches before crashing into a fifth, already weakened structure.

Dust covered him entirely, but with a flick of his fingers, a stream of water washed over his body, instantly clearing the debris—

—and a burst of wind followed, drying him completely and restoring his composure.

“That surprised me. I didn’t expect you to resist. I thought, like most mages, the moment you saw someone two realms above you, you would cave in and lose honorably, but you just had to resist,” Takeda said.

His tone only made Alec frown deeper. Even now, Takeda still carried himself with that same nonchalant arrogance.

“Well, since you’re so hell-bent on resisting, I’ll just have to break you, and those golems you seem so proud of.”

“Who the hell do you think you are?” This time before Alec could even respond, his golems spoke first in anger, as they dislike anyone looking down on their master.

Titan stepped forward, his mace resting on his shoulder.

“We’ve hunted Tier 8 lifeforms before, so what if you’re a bit stronger? It doesn’t change the fact that we’re about to send you to an early grave.” Legion said while he hovered in the air, his weapon returning back into the smaller nano cube form.

Though only the two of them voiced it, Takeda could already tell, the other golems had positioned themselves around him, and that wasn’t all.

Alec began walking forward, this time, he was clad in a full spirit equipment set, though weaker than his own but he felt this equipment set seems to have some type of synergy power linked to Alec.

“Come at us, the battle is just beginning to reach its climax,” Alec said, while extending his hand downward, as blood surged outward from his arm, shaping itself in an instant—Forming into a blade.

It solidified like crimson crystal, its edges gleaming with a dangerous, razor-sharp light.

“Good. I’ve been meaning to kill you in the most gruesome way possible. Your eyes... Those are the first things I’ll take, I just don’t like the way you look at me...”

Takeda’s words hadn’t even fully settled when he moved, he spun sharply, while his left hand was already reaching for the axe at his back.

By the time the motion completed, he already had the weapon completely engulfed in flames—And he swung it out toward Butcher.
