About five minutes later, all the mages on the battlefield were already prepared and set for battle.More than anything, the anticipation in the air was filled with sheer confidence.
That was until the space rift finally opened and the group of goblins they would be facing this time came pouring out.
There were far too many goblins, the sight alone was enough to make one feel despair, but the Fourth Elder of the Gordons Clan simply looked ahead, showing courage and refusing to let even the slightest hint of fear appear on his face.
He knew that if the already fragile created mage army around him somehow sensed that the one meant to lead them lacked confidence, then the battle might end before it even truly began.
For the first time, the Gordons Clan had started to believe in themselves and no longer felt the need to hide their strength, and with the set of pills Alec had left for them, they would be able to produce more than a handful of Tier 7 mages.
That was why they had decided to hold control of the city for the time being, especially since they might need to grow used to that feeling.
“Arrrghh! Attack!”
While the Fourth Elder of the Gordons Clan was lost in his thoughts, the hobgoblin on the opposite side, who was leading about thirty other hobgoblins, saw the Gordons emblem on many of the flags and seemed to lose his mind.
He immediately sent his entire army forward to crush the opposition.
After their last defeat, the surviving goblins had returned and reported everything. By now, the Gordons Clan had started building a reputation in the second dimension as the clan that kept ruining the goblins’ attempts to destroy the city and establish a foothold in the human world.
Because of that, the goblins had made it their business to figure out how the humans decided which clans would fight, since they were certain that it was not every time they entered the battlefield that they encountered the Gordons.
And luckily for them, their leader, who had made it his life’s goal to destroy that city, had some idea of how the humans’ allocation system worked due to his many campaigns now.
And even though he now had a much better battle record after joining the Wind Goblins, that itch for the city that he never conquered had never faded.
He had been the one who assured his goblins that they wouldn’t face any Gordons clansmen on this battlefield, and even if they did, his army was supposed to overrun them.
That was why they sent almost double the number that had attacked the last time, excluding the high-rank goblin warriors, because they were too important for him to casually send out into battle.
However, the very first thing the commander he had promoted saw was the Gordons flags flying at the forefront, and he immediately lost it, deciding to turn the clash into a full all-out battle.
He believed they had far more numbers and should be able to overwhelm the humans no matter what.
Even the high-rank battlefield was no exception, as he flew straight toward where the Gordons’ high-rank mages stood, with the high-rank mages from the other clans not far away.

Thirty minutes later.
The battle had grown incredibly bloody, though the goblins attacked the human mages with a kind of desperation, the humans had held their ground well, even while losing many lives in the process.
However, even those who died made sure that before they fell, they had slain at least five enemies.
They had all watched how the Gordons mages counted with each kill, so they naturally picked up the same habit.
In a battle that seemed ready to overwhelm them all, they could only hold on to something positive, and strangely enough, counting their kills made them feel powerful.
Though they couldn’t match the average numbers the Gordons were putting up, however; they still found themselves enjoying it.
With their backs pressed against their partners, they kept counting and comparing their numbers to those around them.
Even so, they could all feel their strength fading.
There were simply too many Goblins left for them to face, at this point, many were no longer sure they would make it out alive.
They only hoped they had killed enough and wouldn’t lose to those nearest to them before they died, even in such a state, they still held onto that competitive spirit the Gordons had instilled in them.
However, that was only the state of the low-rank battlefield. The mid-rank battlefield, on the other hand, seemed to be in a much better position.
Despite the Tier 6 goblins leading the mid-rank forces having a much higher number advantage against the Tier 6 human mages, they had still been unable to gain an advantage.
And the reason for that was because of two exceptional Tier 6 mages the goblins had not been able to find an answer for from the human side—Zack of the Gordons Clan and Mabel of the Coral Clan.
Zack was more like an immortal warrior, a general who led from the front alongside a few specialized mages who had received pills and other resources from the clan due to their previous battle merits, making them far above the average Tier 6 mage.
His bone golems also fought beside him, while Mabel, on the other hand, was more of a strategist type-general.
With the number of goblins they had to face, she had requested that they merge all their forces together. Normally, many would not have agreed to such a thing as one person would always have to lose command, since they cannot be two commanders of an army, but Draco had given Zack a piece of advice before the battle began, that she had the same kind of gift as Alec, that she saw the battlefield differently.
And because of that, when she made the offer, Zack accepted it, and she promised to use him in areas that he was mostly needed.
As Zack led the charge with his bone golems by his side, the other mages of the Gordons Clan, and other clans that joined together were not too far behind him, as the charged feeling energized, especially since their leader was personally leading the assault from the front.
Because Zack was the one leading the charge, a great number of goblins lost their lives the moment both sides clashed, as he did not hold back in the slightest.
While he disrupted the enemy lines from the front, Mabel split what remained of their army and sent them around to strike the goblins from the sides, creating a pincer attack against the goblins, who had been completely focused on breaking through the front line.
One of the figures leading the pincer attack was the Lanzt Patriarch, who was also clad in his own spirit equipment set.
It pushed his attack power and overall threat far beyond what ordinary Tier 6 goblins could withstand, and since he was facing the whole of the mid-rank goblins in the battlefield as a whole, not everyone coming against him was in the Tier 6 realm.
So many goblins ended up losing their lives from a single swing of either of his dual sabers, as he was above what they could handle.

Meanwhile, the high-rank battle was proving far more difficult for the human mages, they now had many more injured fighters on their side, yet it was still the goblins who had lost about seven of their Tier 7 warriors.
Orion and his brother had joined forces to fight against four Tier 7 goblins, in the middle of that chaos, the Patriarch of the Aegisborn Clan burst out with incredible strength and cleaved one of the goblins facing him into two.
After that, his spirit equipment set returned to a charging state, and that terrifying burst of power entered a kind of cooldown.
Now, the three remaining Tier 7 goblins surrounding them were filled with fear.
That fear made them keep their distance, which in turn made it difficult for another kill to happen anytime soon, with their cowardly nature, the goblins preferred to stay farther away and search for chances to attack rather than remain close and risk becoming the next victim of the Aegisborn Patriarch’s battle axe, which looked like a massive fang.
