Chapter 1166: A Request.

“It’s because I’m one hundred percent sure that if we had stayed there, we would have been killed. We wouldn’t have even lasted ten minutes.”

“Normally, there are only a few monsters at the entrance of every special location, and you want to know what they all have in common? Each and every one of them just happens to be between the realm of Low Tier 7 and Mid Tier 7. And even meeting a Mid Tier 7 beast on a normal day isn’t easy.”

“But just now, when I spread out my aura, though it was heavily restricted, I was still able to locate at least five High Tier 7 plant-type beasts of unknown powers and abilities.”

“And yes, you’re right. If I wanted to fight, I’m pretty sure I would be able to kill those. But can we assure ourselves that there aren’t stronger ones hiding? The fact that my mental power is limited is the reason I ran, not because I’m scared.”

“With my mental power, I’m able to anticipate attacks and move before they happen, but now that they have taken that away, it feels like they are trying to blind me before launching a sneak attack.”

“Now that is what’s truly scary. Because believe me, even a Low Tier 8 lifeform shouldn’t be able to restrain my mental power to this level, that means whatever boss monster is leading this group was hiding there, and it is far more dangerous than what we are seeing now,” Alec said.

“Duck!” Alec suddenly shouted.

In the next second, he turned and swirled his hand, drawing in all the neutral mana he had been gathering to cast a spell, as he punched out, due to the fact that none of them had a plant affinity, they could not cast spells wantonly in this region.

Though they still had enough mana inside them, they would only use it to cast spells for protection or when they were certain the spell would end a life.

For these three, who had been through a lot together, in times like this, they were more comfortable using Qi to coat their bodies for defense and going fully into close-combat attack mode rather than relying on magical bombardment.

Arthur and Brandon ducked down as they watched what looked like a flaming pillar shoot out like a thick beam toward the plant legion chasing them.

Boom!

After that, they waited for the smoke to clear. Alec did not want them to go deeper into the Plant special region , as that would mean intruding into the region of other plant kings that might be housed within this domain.

So he had been trying to find an opening where they could fight without remaining inside the trap that had been set for them, but then they heard what sounded like a flap.

The next moment, they saw the plant legion, the ones at the front, who had taken the attack head-on, looked like they were on their last strand of life, but the problem was that they were still alive.

“Fuck!” Brandon shouted.

At that moment, no one had to explain anything to them, they all understood why Alec’s fire had not been so effective, and why it had failed to kill the plant lifeforms despite fire being the natural counter to plant-type beasts.

It was because almost ninety percent of the magical particles in the air were of the plant element, that meant while they were struggling to gather enough mana to cast spells, the plant lifeforms could cast whatever plant-type Tier spell they desired with ease, so casting layers and layers of defensive spell would not have been a problem for them.

Bang! Bang!

At that moment, towering figures started dropping down from the massive trees surrounding them.

Alec, Brandon, and Arthur instantly stood with their backs against one another, facing the new figures that had appeared.

They were treant warriors, humanoid plant lifeforms whose bodies were made of ancient-looking wood covered in markings, but the truth was, their bodies were sturdier than even some metals.

Alec stared at the one that had landed not far from them, because while the rest had landed around them, separating them from the other lifeforms, this particular one stood directly before Alec.

Just by staring at the treant before him, Alec was sure that fighting it would cause massive damage, it stood at a towering seven feet tall, and the wood covering its body looked more like armor compared to the other treants.

On its face, the wood formed what looked like a full-face helmet, leaving only space for its eyes to be visible.

There were also thick leaves curling down behind its head, which Alec had to admit looked like badass hair. And then there was the long wooden sword in its hand, pierced into the ground before it.

“Human demon, we have heard about how you have disturbed all the other regions, you don’t know how long we treants legion have been waiting for you to come. I will stop the other plant type legion from coming closer to you. In return, I ask to fight your ice golem, the one whose name has already passed through all regions.”

“And oh, my name is General. You can call me that. I have no ill intentions. I just want to duel him and see if he can best me,” the treant before him said.

And the only thing Alec could think was that he was fucked.

Though this Treant General seemed capable of saving them from being ganged up on, the condition was that it wanted to duel Titan. However, Alec knew he couldn’t summon Titan, as Titan was currently in the main world, acting as a defender for one of the cities he had not yet assigned a lord to.

Meanwhile, outside, the invading army had split into two, with each of the twin brothers leading one group, out of the three lords, two followed Dave and were attacking the border city guarded by Hunter.

Meanwhile, Daniel had the last lord with him and was moving to attack the city occupied by Saint.

They had specifically chosen to attack the cities Alec had just claimed because they believed that, since the cities had only recently been conquered, Alec would not have had enough time to properly move soldiers there.

Or rather, Alec had not fully taken over the cities yet, and truthfully, it was not wrong to say that the defenses of these cities were the weakest compared to the other cities, which was true.

Because Alec hadn’t assigned any city lord to be stationed there yet in the first place, so no summoned units could be called forth to properly defend the city walls in case of an invasion.

The attacking lords were hoping that since Alec had only just conquered the cities, the citizens would still be holding grudges, in fact they believed that once the citizens realized another force was attacking, they would rebel and create chaos from within.

That way, the attacking lords believed they would be able to enter the cities with ease.
