Chapter 1165: Forest 101.

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

While Alec’s kingdom was about to fall into turmoil, considering it would soon be attacked, Alec and his group had already entered the Amulet World, they were the ones who would be entering the Beast Forest together.

And just like that, they passed through the third beast door, and in the next instant, they found themselves free-falling from the sky.

It was the first time Alec would be bringing anyone into the high-rank gate of the Beast Forest, the last time he had allowed them to enter, they had still gone through the mid-rank gates.

However, now he believed they had already passed the stage of entering the mid-rank gates, as the things that could bring them danger there had reduced considerably. But here, in the high-rank gates, there were many things that could still endanger their lives.

And Alec believed that if they engaged in a couple of life-and-death battles, it would end up boosting their potential, all these while they have been doing nothing but cultivating hence why he wanted them to experience life and death situations which might just push them to the next realm, or steel their resolve or even make them a better combatant.

After landing at the middle point, Alec simply started leading them straight toward one side.

He acted like he knew the road and where he was taking them, but the problem still remained that Alec was bad at navigation.

He had a higher chance of getting them lost than actually finding the location he wanted to reach. However, because there was always a special zone at the edge of every side of the forest, he was not that bothered.

After all, he planned to protect them no matter what region they ended up entering, and after flying straight toward the edge for a few minutes, they finally arrived at a special zone.

Alec squinted his eyes as he looked at the region before him, he had never been here before, nor had he ever seen it, the place was green and filled with vegetation, but the things he was seeing looked far too healthy for his liking.

However, no matter how confused he was, he was hellbent on not showing it at all.

“We march in,” Alec said, as Arthur and Brandon followed him, and the moment they passed the bridge and crossed the threshold separating the outer world from the new domain before them, they began to feel like they were about to die, as the pressure from the region bore down on them forcing them to their knees.

The influx of mana in the air was so strong that they believed if they were able to cultivate here for a month, they might actually be able to enter the high ranks.

Just thinking about it gave them chills. However, they were also certain that the elemental affinity in the air was not something they possessed, so it would not do them much good.

Just as they were beginning to feel resentment at the thought of dying in such an unsightly way from the pressure of the region, they suddenly felt Alec’s hand tap their shoulders.

As a flaming aura circulated around their bodies, and they were finally able to stand properly again, they could only stare at their bodies, which now had flames burning around them like the edge of a bubble. Only this bubble was made of fire, yet it did not hurt them one bit.

“Welcome to the plant special region,” Alec said to them as they looked around in amazement, though he had been confused before reaching this place, however the moment he crossed the border, he finally realized which domain it was.

It was the plant element domain.

He started thinking that if Endrick had come here, he would have made a lot of progress.

However, Alec pushed that thought to the back of his mind, Endrick had not come, and there was something else bothering him instead, the fact that they had not been attacked yet.

Since Alec knew they were in the plant domain, he had expected some form of retaliation or attack the moment they passed through the gate and entered the domain. But nothing of the sort happened.

He knew this was not how the lifeforms in the other regions acted, and he started to wonder, just maybe, this was not going to be as hard as he thought.

“Bring out your weapons and make sure both of you are prepared for whatever is about to come,” Alec said as they began walking forward slowly.

Alec then tried to spread out his mental power, and that was when he noticed a problem, his mental power seemed to be greatly limited in this space.

The moment he realized that, he knew they were screwed, he turned back instantly, and just as he expected, the path they had come from was gone.

The way back to the stairway had been completely blocked by towering trees, while he had been searching for the tree lifeforms that might attack them, he had not realized that they had been passing by those very same lifeforms all along.

“Boys... boys!” Alec called lightly toward his brothers.

The moment Arthur and Brandon saw the look on his face, they knew all too well what it meant. Their heads slowly turned backward as well.

“Please tell me you still remember the first rule of Forest 101,” Alec asked.

“Of course. Like the back of my hand,” Arthur replied as he and Brandon entered their battle stances.

Brandon reached for the sword tied behind him, while Arthur looked as if he was about to summon his golem, the moment they started acting like this, the plants that had been hiding in disguise finally revealed their true forms.

They had remained hidden until now so the humans who entered would not immediately run back out of the area.

Many of them opened mouths filled with countless fangs, while others revealed thorny roots covered in spikes. The way those roots curled made them look like perfect whip weapons.

Seeing this made Arthur and Brandon tremble, however they still tried their best to keep straight faces and show no fear, but the horrifying appearances of the plant monsters before them scared them shitless.

“Now!” Alec shouted.

The plant legion before them was just about to move forward and attack after hearing Alec shout, but in the next moment, the human mages before them turned tail and started running away, even deeper into the forest region.

The plant monsters were dazed for a moment.

Then, they immediately began chasing after them.

“Fuck, it’s been a while since I had to run like this. Almost reminds me of our days in the second dimension. But please tell me, Alec, why are we running? You should be able to summon your golems, no?” Arthur asked.

As he spoke, he pushed his right hand forward, manipulating what was left of his metal mana to create a metal guard around his arm, it started from his elbow and stretched all the way to his fist.

In the middle, protruding from the side of his fist, was a short silver blade that shone as light reflected off it, he then swung it at a plant-like snake that lunged toward him.

With one clean strike, he sliced off its head.
