The group of four charged forward in unison, a move that is intended to simplify their victory, yet the reality of the clash against Alec was about to defy their expectations,They lunged toward him simultaneously, driven by a desperate hope to land a crippling blow on him before the golems could intervene, knowing full well that any delay would result in the utter ruin of their strategy
Witnessing the fourfold assault descending upon Alec, Legion prepared to join the fray, but a subtle shake of Alec’s head caught his eye, a clear signal for him to remain on the sidelines,
He then held his position, his grip tightening around his laser Spear as he remained poised to strike should the situation spiral out of control, while the commander werewolf became the first to close the distance to Alec,
The werewolf attempted several deceptive feints, but Alec remained unmoving and unimpressed by his tricks, his gaze steady and never wavering which left the commander feeling visibly unnerved,
Sensing his comrades were nearly upon them, he finally surrendered to his primal urges and lunged forward, after he realized that waiting for Alec to make a move to his feints might never happen, so he decided to create his own opening,
When the commander finally thrust his hand forward, he channeled the wind to envelop his claws, creating what appeared to be five high-stream wind cutters around them.
This wind manipulation noticeably accelerated his strike, and boosted his attack speed.
This entire preparation unfolded clearly before Jake’s eyes, as they were moving throughout the time the commander werewolf was casting his skill, and then he mirrored the exact attack pattern, while he extended his own right hand too, to meet the approaching werewolf attack.
Yet, unlike the Commander’s wind element, Alec had shrouded his own claws in dark shadow energy, which changed the concept of his own executed skill, at the exact moment of impact, the werewolf commander watched in shock as his wind energy was completely engulfed and devoured by Alec’s shadow energy.
Though the commander already was aware that Alec’s werewolf bloodline vastly outmatched his own, but he just never imagined himself losing the clash of elemental manipulation to a lower realm werewolf, and this is when Alec had not yet deployed his bloodline suppression yet.
The mere anticipation of how diminished his strength would become once Alec unleashed that bloodline suppression filled him with dread, what the commander did not know was the fact that even Alec himself was unaware of his ability to weaken werewolf opponents through his superior bloodline; Alec was simply focused on crushing his enemies.
Having dispelled the werewolf commander’s assault, the light-green elemental particles shrouding his claw vanished to reveal his actual furred hand, and Alec instantly seized it, securing the commander in a tight hand lock.
Without a second glance, Alec effortlessly drove his right leg into the commander’s left knee, the sheer force of the kick not only threw the werewolf commander completely off balance,
but also set up a seamless follow-up strike, as the commander began to fall, Alec snapped his right knee upward, targeting his chin perfectly, the brutal impact sent a new wave of agony through the werewolf commander.
Before he could process what was happening, Alec spun around, never breaking his grip on the locked hand—and hurled him directly toward the three werewolves charging from behind.
The warrior and hunter class wolves quickly toward the sides to avoid the flying body, while the guardian werewolf, however, stood his ground, using his own bulk body as a shield to intercept and cushion his falling commander.
The impact slammed both of them backward, leaving only two wolves pressing the attack—a matchup Alec still considered fair.
The werewolves charged forward on all fours, rapidly closing the distance, the moment they entered striking range, the warrior-class werewolf lunged into the air, fangs bared, its sharp claws carving glowing arcs of primal Qi.
Meanwhile, the hunter-class werewolf swept in low, his synchronized pincer attack seemed to leave Alec with absolutely no avenue for escape.
Suddenly, Alec kicked off the ground as if attempting a desperate retreat, giving the pursuing werewolves the illusion that their pressure was breaking him.
But he wasn’t fleeing. He spread his arms wide and fell straight back onto the ground, this bizarre move from him caught the werewolves completely by surprise, leaving them momentarily baffled.
But everything changed the instant Alec’s back hit the dirt.
A cloud of greyish smoke erupted, and the space he had occupied was suddenly filled with a writhing, disintegrating mass of shadow energy.
"Fuck, watch your—" the hunter-class werewolf bellowed as she turned sharply, after instantly realizing what was about to unfold.
Even though Alec hadn’t said out his spell, his movements perfectly mirrored a deadly shadow spell she recognized all too well.
Yet, just as she spun around to warn the warrior werewolf, she witnessed Alec lunging out from the beast’s own shadow, with his light-infused claws tearing through his thick hide effortlessly, plunging deep to rip out the warrior’s heart in a swift motion.
The werewolf body flew a few more distance before it collapsed instantly, his massive frame already reverting back into human form.
“Ahhhhhh, noooo!” the hunter-class werewolf shrieked, having already turned back, she desperately lunged towards Alec. Simultaneously, the commander werewolf who had regained himself had already closed in from the opposite side, and lunged outward, with the guardian-class werewolf trailing far behind him.
Alec had targeted the warrior first, knowing the heavy hitter was focused solely on delivering a fatal blow to him which meant it was going all out, whereas the hunter-class werewolf possessed sharp senses that would have made a sneak attack far more difficult for him even though he had a better spot at coming out from her own shadow.
Now, Alec found himself in yet another pincer attack. Yet, his expression remained entirely unbothered. Completely serene, as he carefully calculated the trajectory of their incoming strikes.
[› High Tier Spell - Interconnected Shadow Portal ‹]
Positioned at the center of the impending clash, Alec swept both hands outward in opposite directions, he pointed his right hand toward the rapidly approaching hunter-class werewolf, as a dark shadow portal manifested directly in her path.
Due to her extreme speed she was rushing at she was unable to halt or redirect her momentum, and she was swallowed whole by the abyssal gateway.
In the split second she was engulfed by the shadow portal, Alec pushed out his left hand slightly in the other direction, causing a second portal to appear in the path of the lunging commander.
The entire sequence transpired in a flash, happening almost simultaneously, as the hunter-class werewolf emerged from the exit portal, she did not see Alec before her. Instead, she was met with the face of her own commander.
Puchi!!!
At that moment, all the adrenaline in her body ground to a halt as a sharp pain registered. Looking down, she realized her commander’s wind-augmented claws, designed to maximize tearing power, had ripped directly through her chest.
