Despite the incredible regenerative capabilities of werewolves, a clean pierce through the heart or head remains absolute and fatal. Realizing her heart had been completely impaled, she could only look up to see the sheer anguish written across her commander’s face. The commander’s mind raced, trying to comprehend how their supposedly foolproof mission had fallen apart.
They had deliberately chosen one of the border cities that was isolated from the primary area the first war occurred in order to make sure that reinforcements could never arrive in time.
Yet, a single individual who showed up had completely altered the course of the battle, his solo presence far eclipsing the threat of a thousand reinforcement soldiers.
Kneeling in his grief, the commander cradled the lifeless body of his lover. Alec, however, had no intention of allowing them a moment of respite.
His sleek fur blurred into a hazy light hue once more as he lunged forward.
To the Guardian werewolf watching helplessly from the rear, the scene unfolded in agonizing slow motion.
He watched the formidable hybrid close the distance to his grieving leader, with jaws parted to reveal fangs glowing with an intense, radiant light.
This was one of Midnight’s (the Eclipse fenwolf is named midnight) bloodline techniques—the Eclipse Light Fang, by channeling light mana into his teeth, they didn’t merely shine like a standard illumination spell; instead, they emitted a profound, ethereal glow reminiscent of pure moonlight.
With a single, devastating bite, Alec severed the head of the defeated werewolf commander, overwhelmed by the terrifying scale of the power displayed against them, the commander had ultimately chosen to stop fighting, realizing they were merely being toyed with and gave in to the inevitable.
The guardian werewolf reverted to his human form instantly, standing naked from waist up as he manifested a blade of light. Overwhelmed by the loss of his leader, he prepared to drive the weapon into his own chest, convinced that a self-inflicted end was more honorable than falling at the hands of such a monstrous opponent.
Alec, however, had absolutely no intention of letting the survivor perish.
To him, the werewolf was a vital asset; he required a source of intelligence to navigate the treacherous depths of the beast mountain forest and pinpoint the location of the werewolves’ hidden enclave which bordered his own lands in the wilderness region.
While he could easily deal with the human lords who had attacked his domain, the forest represented an entirely different territory that he preferred not to enter blindly, as he would also love to avoid making more enemies than he already had.
Thus, his plan was to capture one of them alive to serve as a guide later on and to be interrogated for information, which was why he had left the guardian werewolf untouched since so there was no way he would allow him kill himself.

Even though Alec’s merged time with Midnight had expired and he was already reverting to his human form, he remained fast enough to form hand signs with his right hand to cast a spell.
Massive earthen hands erupted from both sides, clamping the werewolf tightly and halting its suicide attempt, the man before him thrashed frantically, trying to break free, but all its efforts were entirely in vain.
“Legion, I will leave the prisoners with you,” Alec said, before summoning Oni and Vermis and commanding them to go reinforce the other border city currently under assault.
Instantly they both flew into the air before they turned directly towards the city’s palace, intending to utilize the teleportation array near it to reach the city as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, the guardian werewolf—who had previously felt that by persisting in its struggle he would soon be able to break free from the restraints, finally settled down upon sensing the powerful auras of the two newly summoned golems.
Sensing that they both shared the exact same realm as Legion before it, the creature began to wonder if Alec possessed such powerful golems, why hadn’t he simply summoned them all from the start to end the battle immediately? Why delay it?
At that exact moment, the same profound despair that had consumed his commander engulfed him as well, causing him to abandon all hope of escape, or dying easily.

Meanwhile, back at the other city, the Orc Commander finally dismounted his massive wolf after Titan’s taunt, he shifted his battle axe to his left hand and unsheathed the kukri blade resting at his waist, lowering his posture into a battle stance, it was really a weird combination of weapons though.
Behind him, his massive wolf mount growled, making its intense hostility toward Titan and Saint clear, the Orc Shamans also stepped down from their wolf mounts, which retreated behind them.
They immediately casted off the cloaks that covered them, revealing their saggy muscles, yet they were far from finished as they began tapping their staffs on the ground.
Within the next second, a visible green aura began draining from the bodies of the fallen orcs, and streaming through the air to enter the Shamans’ bodies through their noses and mouths, as they all made sharp inhaling motion.
Within a mere five seconds, they appeared to age backward dramatically, their muscles becoming far firmer than they had been moments prior.
Facing four Tier 7 shaman orcs twisting their staffs in unison alongside a Tier 8 Orc warrior commander, Titan and Saint appeared to be at a distinct disadvantage.
However, at that exact moment, the five available captain golems under Titan leaped forward, arriving around his side.
As they drew closer, the ice domain shifted once more, rather than continuing to augment the Ice mage warriors, it began pushing aggressively toward the orc commander and his shamans now.
Even the Tier 6 wolf mounts behind them were already beginning to shiver under the oppressive cold of the environment.
With a deep grunt, the Tier 8 orc unleashed a domain of his own. Unlike Titan, he didn’t require the assistance of multiple allies sharing the same elemental affinity to expand his domain across the distance separating them.
The moment his domain materialized, Titan’s ice domain was forcefully driven back until the two forces met precisely in the middle, however the orc commander’s expression shifted instantly;
He had fully anticipated that deploying his domain would completely paralyze and suppress Titan along with his golem captains.
Yet, an elemental domain crafted by a Tier 7 entity and augmented by the mana of Tier 6 subordinates was holding its ground against the domain of a Tier 8 lifeform, this made him highly perplexed.
While this revelation deeply shocked the commander, it was no surprise at all to Titan, he knew perfectly well that his ability to suppress Tier 8 beasts in the beast forest was entirely due to his captain golems’ mana strengthening his domain, just as Legion and his squad relied on their specialized flying restriction domain.
Since only half of his captains were currently present to strengthen the domain, he had already expected the domain to operate at half its usual strength anyway, the battlefield was clearly divided: on one side stood Titan and his ice golems, enveloped in their frozen domain, with Saint standing out as the sole exception among them not being augmented by the frost like particles around him.
Opposing them stood the orc commander, surrounded by a wild, primal domain defined by a crimson glow along its borders, then, as if guided by an unspoken, mutual understanding, both sides surged forward simultaneously in a sudden clash.
