Chapter 1140: Time to develop. 2

Victor sighed and said internally: ’What won’t I do for you?’

"Muah, Muah, Muah."

Seeing how happy she was, Victor simply smiled while hugging her.

It was worth noting that, as a result of this decision, all of his Greek wives became extremely jealous. Even Hestia, who was quiet and usually understanding, was pouting.

Because of that, Victor had to expand the planet enough to make it slightly larger than the old Earth so the Greek goddesses could spread across the world and rebuild their temples.

Gaia and Nyx acted indifferent and stayed out of it, but at the first opportunity, when the planet was ready, they approached him, kissed him, saying: "I love you, Darling. Thank you for everything!" And ran to the planet to make their temples.

Victor sighed. Sometimes he thought he didn’t have wives but a bunch of children to take care of. They complain that he was spoiling their daughters, but at the first opportunity, they act just like their daughters. But it was fun to see them acting like that, so he just laughed and let the matter go.

"... Hmm, Darling~... Unlike the Greeks, we have always been allies~." A sun goddess approached sneakily and hugged Victor.

Victor raised an amused eyebrow while looking at his sun goddess and Haruna, who was sneakily nearby.

"You are not satisfied with the city?"

"Fufufu, you can caress whatever you want, Darling." She said while using her powers to create fox ears and 10 tails.

"Stealing other people’s characteristics, you bad goddess." Haruna snorted, and soon she returned to her old form and hugged Victor, wrapping him in her tails. "I am the original fox, you are just a fake."

"Ara~, who decided that? With the power to shape reality, I can be a fox if I want too, fufufufu~" Amaterasu approached and hugged him while covering him with her tails.

Surrounded by two ’cunning foxes’ who wrapped him in their fluffy tails, Victor had no choice but to give in and give them a planet.

"You convinced me, I will give you a planet."

How difficult it was to be the Emperor...

"Kya! Thank you, Darling! I love you!" Amaterasu kissed him the same way Aphrodite did before.

Haruna only wrapped him tighter in her embrace.

Victor’s ’difficulties’ aside... Returning to the timeline, the second legion was created after this incident.

Second Legion: Order of the Iron Veil

Backstory: Created personally by Eleonor, Violet, Haruna, and Hela. This legion serves as the defender of imperial territories and can, if necessary, act as an attack legion alongside the first legion. After all, some say the best defense is to have the best offense.

Function: Planetary defense and protection of imperial territories.

Responsible for: Planetary shields, fortified zones, bastions, and defense rings, etc.

Most common units: Stationary knights, climate controllers, orbital towers, etc.

Internal slogan: "We protect the Empire until the last breath."

Current legion commander: Eleonor Elderblood, who may be replaced by Haruna or Hela depending on the situation.

Of these 6 legions, only two receive solar-system destruction class weaponry, with them being the 1st and the 2nd legion. The others, if necessary, can also use these weapons, but only with the permission of the Supreme General, Scathach, and the Emperor himself.

Effectively, the first and second legions acted as the military of the old world, which was why they were the most numerous. One acted as the spear of the Empire, and the other acted as the shield of the Empire. Often, they acted together to deal with threats.

All legions answered directly to Scathach and to the Emperor himself if he gave the order. To avoid chaos when executing orders, everyone, regardless of legion, must obey Scathach if she orders something. If she does not order anyone directly, the legion command remains with the selected commanders of those legions.

Effectively, Scathach Elderblood holds the title of goddess of war and Supreme General of the Empire’s forces. A promotion that Scathach herself liked very much, however, because of that, she was very busy, considering her standards were extremely high.

One funny thing was that even having several beings in her hands to shape, she never found another being with the same monstrous talent as her disciple and now husband, Victor.

Perhaps the only ones who came close in talent and potential were their daughters, which was ridiculous if you think about it.

But these were not all the forces of the Empire. These forces were only those that the public knew existed.

The leviathans that Victor created were not counted, nor were the dragons hidden in Victor’s world, nor were several forces of hell, such as the ancient demons who served as guards and acted more like scholars. They were incredibly strong, especially now that Victor helped them evolve and become something like a Primordial Demon.

The Valkyries of Rose and Eleonor, who had now expanded, were also not counted. The personal forces of the Emperor himself, such as the cosmic horrors that he could unleash at any moment, were also not counted.

They were not the only ones. There were still many hidden forces that only Victor himself and Violet knew existed.

By Victor’s own command, Violet was creating these forces and keeping them as a trump card. Many times she asked for help from sisters like Ruby, while other times she did it alone.

The more cards Victor had in his hand, the more options he would have in the future. And this was the best moment to increase his options even more.

That same year, hidden from everyone, a seventh legion was created, which was called:

Children of the Abyss.

Backstory: Created personally by the Emperor himself, along with Empress Violet. They exist on paper, but nothing is known about them. Just know that if you see the Eye on a uniform... Do not look at their face, or you will go insane.

Function: Defense against extradimensional threats, cosmic entities, and primordial horrors.

Responsible for: Maintaining the boundaries and structure of reality intact, fighting invaders from other dimensions and the unknown itself.

Common units: Classified.

Internal slogan: "What comes from beyond... meets its end here."

Current commander: Classified. But the appearance was described: He wore a hooded armor, his wings seemed to absorb the very light of existence. He was the Emperor’s Herald. When this force was sent, only existential erasure awaited.

This legion could only be commanded by the Emperor himself. If the Emperor cannot command them, the Empress, the goddess of Order, Violet, would assume command... If neither of them were available, Azathoth would assume command.

Only these three could command this legion. Anyone else would go insane if they spent too much time with them, because this legion was created using Victor’s Eldritch powers to the extreme. Even if his wives had resistance, it was not as high as Violet, who had a high resistance from being a goddess of order, and Azathoth and Victor themselves, who were like the God Kings of this mad pantheon.

Perhaps in the future, Hela would have the capacity to command this legion, too, but for now, only Violet was qualified.

In the 30,000th year of the imperial calendar, all 6 legions were filled with beings. Just one legion could contain billions of forces, with the smallest being the fifth legion, while the Imperial Guard numbered in the millions, not billions.

But even with so many beings, the command structure remained completely efficient. All this merit went to the Emperor’s daughter, Akasha Elderblood, and to her operators, handcrafted by Victor.

Even though they did not form a legion in name, Akasha and her operators, who helped the legions, were a force of the Empire, and those who entered this squadron were only those created directly by the Emperor.

Their location was strictly confidential. No one except the Emperor’s family knew their location. As the eyes and ears of the Empire, they always stayed in the most protected place in the Empire, meaning they were always stationed within Victor’s own world, where his family stayed.

Even being practically in another dimension, they could still act from anywhere, and effects such as dimensional blocks were useless to them since they were intimately connected with every part of the Empire.

Since they were among the most important parts of the command structure, several tests, ranging from dimensional blocking to complete closure of space, were performed, expanding the system and ensuring nothing could block them.

The reason for this was simple: they live within the Emperor himself and use his senses and power to communicate with everyone.

Unless Victor himself was sealed, it was impossible for them to go offline. And even in that minimal chance of that happening, Victor prepared countermeasures.

After all, he was paranoid like that. And being one of the most important parts of the Empire, they deserved such precaution.

Akasha’s squad operated like a vast network of countless smaller artificial intelligences. It was an entire ecosystem with Akasha at the top, followed by her subordinates, then by quintillions of artificial intelligences acting as shields that change every second and create more every second. The structure was made that way on purpose in case of a possible invasion: they can cut their losses and delete the artificial intelligence immediately.

This measure was put in place to address potential technology gods like Velnorah. Having a mother like that, Akasha knows very well the level of threat she can be if she were on the other side.

Therefore, she created a system that even her mother cannot violate without a lot of effort. One that would only improve over time.

As her father liked to say, it was always good to have more options, and Akasha would not rest until she had at least the capacity to completely block her mother outside of her system.

Although all of this was a huge exaggeration. For them to be affected in the first place, any attack must pass through the supreme defense, which was Victor himself. After all, they lived inside Victor.

Few beings can look into the eyes of a cosmic horror and leave with their sanity intact. But even understanding this, Akasha would not be satisfied. She inherited her father’s paranoia after all.

30,000 years had passed, but the 200,000-year deadline had not yet been reached. They still had a lot of work to do. The population had not even reached 500 trillion beings yet.
