This was his sixth roll.

But Lu Yin could not wait any longer. He needed to enter Timestop once more. With just a little more, he would be able to comprehend the wall.

Xiang Siyu stared at Lu Yins face and his bloodshot eyes. Was he crying?

The die slowed to a stop on four pips. Lu Yins eyes snapped open as he once again entered his Timestop Space, where he stared intently at the stone wall.

Once more, he became Greater Sancte Green Lotus and carried stones upon his back while smiling up at the sky. As that happened, the entity from the Willbound Spire saw it and relaxed. The two versions of Lu Yin shared both sides of this complex moment. It was indescribable and truly wondrous.

The same scene played out again. Karma emerged from the carvings on the stone wall and pierced Lu Yin before flowing into his Karmic Dao.

Just a few days later, Lu Yins body trembled. He stared at the wall. He was back.

His Karmic Dao roiled as he gazed at the wall in a daze. He had succeeded. He had comprehended the karmic wall.

Through the combined experiences of Greater Sancte Green Lotus and the entity from the Willbound Spire, Lu Yin had comprehended the karmic wall.

So then why did he not feel any joy?

Lu Yin felt his heart grow heavy. It seemed that only that bowl of rice in the rain, that umbrella, and that girl could ease the weight. His life felt like it was missing sunlight.

Are these Greater Sancte Green Lotuss feelings?

All along, Greater Sancte Green Lotus had carried a pain that no one else had even known about.

Everyone had their own life. There were too many in existence who suffered, and even Immortals carried indescribable pain.

This was true of Greater Sancte Green Lotus, but was it not also true of Lu Yin?

Lu Yin drew out the Iceheart and silently stared at Ming Yan, who was frozen within it.

As the scenery changed around him, Lu Yin returned to the Sea of Karma.

A piercing pain swept through his head. He clenched his teeth, forcing himself to endure the agony while fighting to remain conscious. His face grew deathly pale.

Mr. Lu, are you alright? Xiang Siyu asked.

Lu Yin waved her concern away. Im fine, thank you.

But you look like youre in a great deal of pain.

I just need a bit of rest. Lu Yin was breathing heavily, but he managed to glance at Xiang Siyu and force out a smile. Thank you for helping me.

Xiang Siyu said, I told you, you can use me anytime.

Lu Yin rubbed his head.

Still, you pushed too hard that last time, and I didnt hold back, Xiang Siyu continued in a soft voice.

Im sorry.

Its alright. Are you finished now?

Im done.

Then Ill leave.

Alright.

Xiang Siyu gave a small smile before leaving the Sea of Karma.

Lu Yin rubbed his head again. He took out the Iceheart that held Ming Yan. When it comes to you, Ive been selfish. Im sorry.

I can let you freely roam about the universe, but I just cant let go of this selfishness. When you awaken fully, I will atone for what Ive done to you.

With that, he pressed a finger to Ming Yans brow. Her hazy consciousness drifted out, and with a wave of his hand, Lu Yin sent it flying out into the universe.

He still did not awaken Ming Yan, but he did allow her consciousness to roam about freely. The freed fragment carried none of her memories, and Lu Yin hoped that she would be able to wander about happily.

He had also placed some of his karma in the consciousness, which should ensure that she would not encounter any sort of danger in the Nine Odysseys Megaverse. Even if she did and the consciousness was completely destroyed, it would not harm Ming Yan herself.

The human civilization was facing too many crises, and there were multiple fishing civilizations greedily eying them. Even without considering those more distant threats, Ming Yan could not be awakened until after the threat of the Nest civilization had been resolved.

Next, it was time for Lu Yin to return to the Tianyuan.

However, he would not go alone. There was someone else who had to go as well.

In a beautiful valley on the ground of the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, a breathtaking woman appeared. She did not know where she had come from or where she was headed. It was as though she had simply appeared.

She suffered no trouble and felt no sorrow. While her life lacked any sort of purpose, she could freely wander about while savoring the warmth of spring and the picturesque land around her.

The Aevum Inch was forever shrouded in darkness, lifeless and still.

Only a flash of green light streaked across the void, vanishing into the distance.

That green light was nothing other than a single green lotus leaf.

Lu Yin was sitting on the lotus leaf, staring off into the distance with unusual calmness.

The speed of the lotus leaf meant that it was impossible for Lu Yin to return to the Tianyuan Megaverse before the Nest civilizations insects arrived. Lu Yin was anxious, but anxiety would not help. All he could do was hope that the bugs would slow their pace in an attempt to bait more reinforcements from the Nine Odysseys Megavrse.

Two Night Pillars had already been launched in the Tianyuans direction, and it was highly likely that the Nest civilization knew that.

It was the most support that the Nine Odysseys Megaverse could offer.

For one, the Night Pillars were carrying reinforcements who could strengthen the Tianyuans defenses. On top of that, humanity was showing that the Nine Odysseys Megaverse would stand with the Tianyuan. It was the only real way to offer the Tianyuan a chance of survival.

As for how many Night Pillars would truly be sent as support, Lu Yin did not know. He had never placed much hope in the Nine Odysseys Megaverses assistance. He alone was the only real support, as well as Master Qing Cao.

At the thought of the Immortal, Lu Yin turned his head. A hundred meters away, the man was sitting cross-legged, his bamboo basket still on his back. His expression was dark.

Lu Yin understood. No one who was forced to travel such a vast distance just to fight against an Immortal would be in a good mood.

He had just recently emerged from the Sea of Karma, and who could guess what he might have grasped in that place?

Master Qing Cao had no desire to get entangled with Lu Yin ever again.

In comparison, it was much preferable to go support the Tianyuan.

Lu Yin was right; the Nest civilization would reach the Tianyuan half a year before he could get there, and there was a chance that both he and Master Qing Cao would miss all of the fighting. In fact, the most likely outcome was that, by the time they arrived, the insects would have already moved back to attack the Nine Odysseys Megaverse. Luo Chans ability could easily accomplish that, which made it a very likely outcome.

After weighing the pros and cons, Master Qing Cao had stepped onto the green lotus leaf.

At the moment, Master Qing Cao could only hope that the insects had some strategy in play and that they would simply bypass them completely, directing their attention to the Nine Odysseys Megaverse.

The Spirit Nidus had been split in two. The elite cultivators had gone to the Tianyuan, while most of the population had remained in the Spirit Nidus. If one group was wiped out, the other could still be saved.

That was the best result, while the worst would be the Nest civilization destroying both the Tianyuan and the Spirit Nidus, which was not impossible.

That thought caused Master Qing Cao to release a long breath.

What are you thinking about, Senior? Lu Yin asked.

Master Qing Cao looked over. Your decision is very unwise. Theres a strong chance that youre being played.

Theres no other way.

Master Qing Caos expression grew complicated as he observed Lu Yin. The worst outcome will be you saving nothing. Youll arrive at the Tianyuan too late, only to be too late to return to the Nine Odysseys Megaverse as well.

For an Immortal, the greatest burden must be having your karmic chain increase.

You are well aware that, with Greater Sancte Awe Gate present in the Nine Odysseys Megaverse, it will be extremely difficult for the Nest civilization to breach that megaverse.
