Chapter 4254: Absorption

Chang Qi averted his eyes, not daring to meet Lu Yins gaze. Who knew what kind of abilities a foreigner might have? There was no question that the man was terrifyingly strong.

What Chang Qi had seen during the vine-climbing contest still cast a shadow over his mood.

Just what kind of powerhouse was capable of causing such a commotion?

Clearly, there was a reason why the stranger was able to stand at Senior Chang Tus side.

He stared at Chang Tu, but just as the young man opened his mouth, the Ortuser beside him stopped him. Do not speak. Say nothing for now. Just offer an apology and leave.

Chang Qi was unwilling. They must have switched people. The one who entered isnt the foreigner.

I know, but do not say it aloud yet. Apologize and leave, now. Listen to me, the Ortuser pressed in a low voice while keeping a tight grip on Chang Qi.

The young mans body trembled as his breathing grew ragged. Beneath the gazes of countless eyes, he gave Chang Tu a deep bow. This junior was wrong.

Chang Tu casually waved a hand, flinging Chang Qi and his entire group away. A waste of time.

Far away, Chang Yis expression grew conflicted. He felt like a mayfly trying to shake a great tree. He was too frustrated by the outcome.

Go in, Chang Fu ordered.

The 100 victors entered the Sight Realm one after another.

Beneath the Longevity Vine, the Ortuser led Chang Qi away. Not a word was spoken as they headed into the distance.

Those behind the two were ordered to disperse by the Ortuser.

That person is a foreigner! Chang Yi wouldnt lie to me!

Chang Tu must have swapped people.

Have you considered that allowing a non-Longevity lifeform into the Sight Realm doesnt rely solely on switching people?

Chang Qi looked blankly at the Ortuser. What do you mean?

The Ortusers eyes grew dark. The ancestor could have also done it.

Chang Tu stood before the entrance to the Sight Realm, his hands clasped behind his back as he stared off into the distance in a daze.

The Sight Realm was a violet region. From the outside, it did not appear to be very large, yet the inside stretched on endlessly. It gave the impression of being a parallel universe.

Lu Yin looked at a palace before him, and he raised a hand to touch it, only for the palace to scatter.

Behind it, a bright moon hung high in the sky, but when he blew a breath at it, that image also dispersed.

All across the ground were scenes that seemed to have been formed from the air. Some were even able to move, which reminded him of the Broken Realms and the tablet world, but those had come about as a result of Immortal matter, whereas there was no Immortal matter in the Sight Realm.

In the distance, a young man was sitting cross-legged. At times his eyes were opened, and at other times, they were closed. His pupils fluctuated as he tried to absorb sight power.

So is sight power the violet energy flowing through the universe here? Lu Yin asked.

The young man jumped in fright. Who is it?

When he saw Lu Yin, the mans mouth fell open. He did not know what to say.

Lu Yin smiled at him. Sorry. I wanted to ask how to absorb sight power.

The young mans face twitched. Did no one teach you?

No.

How could no one have taught you? You really are a foreigner!

Every member of the Longevity Civilization knew how to absorb sight power. While not everyone could obtain Divine Sight, absorbing sight power was among the most basic of common knowledge.

For someone to not know even that, this man had to be from another megaverse.

Chang Qi was right!

But how did a foreigner manage to get in?

Also, this guy just asked me openly. Is he not afraid of being exposed? Am I going to be silenced for good? The more the man considered his situation, the more frightened he became. He had not lived long enough yet. Father, Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother, Great-grandfather

The young man snapped back to his senses, shivering. Well, absorbing sight power isnt hard. Just stare at it. When you feel that it can enter your eyes, you just let it in.

Lu Yin understood. That simple? Thanks, kid.

With that, he disappeared.

The young man stared at the empty air in front of him before standing up and leaving the Sight Realm entirely. Living really is hard Father, Mother, Grandfather

Elsewhere, Lu Yin sat down cross-legged and stared at the violet energy drifting by. This was sight power.

Sight power drifted everywhere in the Sight Realm. There was more than enough.

He had no idea where it all came from.

Heavens Sight opened on Lu Yins brow, and he simply stared at the violet sight power. As soon as he began looking at it, the violet energy stirred. Yet it did not drift towards Lu Yin at all, but in another direction; towards Chang Ling .

Lu Yin looked over. Its her again.

The girl possessed excellent talent, resolve, and willpower. She was also the fastest at absorbing sight power out of everyone who had entered the Sight Realm.

Everyone had to spread out to absorb sight power. Being close to someone who had already started absorbing sight power would create complications, as all of the sight power would flow towards the first person.

That was exactly what Lu Yin was facing. He could only watch as the violet energy drifted towards Chang Ling . There was nothing he could do about it.

He moved to another location and resumed staring at the energy.

No one was nearby.

After quite some time, Heavens Sight suddenly grew a bit more lively. The nearby sight power stirred and then started to drift toward Lu Yin. He was surprised. Could Heavens Sight really absorb this energy?

He had only bothered trying to absorb sight power with Heavens Sight because of Chang Tus offhand Do as you wish comment.

Chang Tu had not deniedthe possibility, and Heavens Sight had been repaired by Divine Sight, which had led to Lu Yin at least wanting to give it a try. He had not expected it to actually work.

Considering this, Lu Yin closed his physical eyes, leaving only Heavens Sight open. He then began to continuously absorb more sight power, not knowing how much he might be able to take in.

Far away, Chang Ling was still absorbing sight power, and Chang Ling should have been doing the same.

There were three levels to Divine Sight. Normally, after entering the Sight Realm and absorbing sight power, most people would be able to master the first level within no more than ten years. The first was the easiest, but the second was extremely difficult. A person needed to be at least an Ortuser to comprehend that level. Throughout the entire history of Longevity Civilization, no one beneath that realm had ever mastered the second level of Divine Sight.

As for the third level, it seemed that only their legendary ancestor had managed to master it. Not even Senior Chang Tu had reached that level of mastery.

Divine Sight had three levels. Each level manifested as an additional eye, and with every increase, ones combat strength would surge dramatically.

Chang Ling did not know how long it would take her to master the first level of Divine Eye after leaving the Sight Realm.

Hm? Why has the absorption stopped?

The violet sight power around her should have been flowing towards her eyes, but it was instead hanging motionless in the air. Suddenly, it shifted and started drifting in another direction.

Chang Ling was startled. Did someone have an even stronger ability to draw in sight power than her? Who?

The same scene played out for many other people.

Chang Ling was also startled. Who could possibly draw sight power away from around her? Chang Ling ? Impossible. She was too far away. Who else could it be?

One after another, the Longevity Beings looked in the same direction. All of the sight power was drifting there, and the area being affected was continuously expanding, quickly becoming truly exaggerated.

Before entering the Sight Realm, everyone had agreed on the distance to keep between each other. It was a distance that, in theory, should prevent anyone from interfering with anyone else. Given the long history of the Longevity Civilization, it was simple to determine a non-interference distance.

A tacit understanding had formed between the various people.

But at this moment, many of them were being disturbed. At first, they each simply assumed that they were the only individual being affected, due to someone else approaching too close and simply being better at absorbing sight power. Annoyed, they all started moving toward the irritant to confront the person. They had made a clear agreement before entering.

No one believed that anyone could affect another from beyond the distances recorded in their civilizations history.

But as people walked, things quickly felt wrong. They had already crossed a greater distance than what they had agreed upon, which meant that, theoretically, they should not have been affected by anyone else. While they had, they had no right to complain; the other person simply had too strong a draw on the sight power.

Only when people started to see each other did they realize how serious the problem was.

It was not just one of them being affected, but rather many.

This was no simple matter. This meant that someone here was drawing in sight power across an unimaginably large range.

How could such a person exist?

They immediately thought of the suspected foreigner, and that caused them to hesitate. Could they really confront such a person? They did not dare.

That person was capable of standing beside Senior Chang Tu, and they had all heard about what had happened during the vine-climbing contest. Such a large disturbance meant that he was either a Dukkhan or an Immortal. Causing trouble for such a powerful being was simply seeking death.

Only Chang Ling , Chang Ling , and Young War King steadily continued forward. They wanted to see who exactly had interfered with their efforts.

The farther they traveled in the same direction, the thicker the violet sight power became. It soon became like a dense fog.

They eventually all saw each other. By that point, there was no one else attempting to approach the area.

At the same time, they saw Lu Yin.

It was a scene that they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

Lu Yin sat cross-legged as Heavens Sight madly devoured sight power. Violet energy converged upon him like a river.

At this moment, Lu Yin was filled with a new craving, an indescribable hunger. For Heavens Sight, sight power was like water, or a source of life. The more that it devoured, the better.

If one looked down at the entire Sight Realm, Lu Yin would be sitting at the center of a vortex with vast waves of violet power spreading out before surging towards that whirlpool.

A massive eye appeared outside of the vortex. It was the exact same eye that had repaired Heavens Sight for Lu Yin when Divine Sight had been granted to the victors. Vivid and lifelike, the eye stared at Lu Yin from afar, giving off a feeling of contemplation.

While Lu Yins own eyes were closed, Heavens Sight was able to see much farther. He saw the eye and met its gaze. At that moment, he forgot everything around him, as though falling into a whirlpool of time. There, he saw silhouette after silhouette fighting, each of which possessed Heavens Sight.

He saw all kinds of strange combat methods, and while he did not truly understand them, he inexplicably knew that they were different ways to use Heavens Sight.

Suddenly, the gigantic eye blinked. Lu Yins own eyes snapped open, and the surging, violet sight power around him abruptly dispersed. It was as if nothing had ever happened, as though everything had been a dream.

He suddenly stood up and stared into the distance. Why had all of those variations of Heavens Sight appeared within the eye that he had seen? Was Heavens Sight not the culmination of techniques that Wu Tian had created on his own?

Heavens Sight was able to see through all battle techniques and cultivation arts. That was Wu Tians power. So why had Lu Yin seen other Heavens Sights in that eye?

Also, just what was that eye?

As the violet sight power dissipated, Chang Ling and the other two stared at Lu Yin, as he himself peered into the distance. The surroundings were utterly silent.

What truly burned itself into Chang Ling and the others memories was that, when Heavens Sights devouring of sight power reached the peak, Lu Yins disguised appearance had fallen away, and his true face had been revealed.
