Chapter 4510: A Cheating Innate Gift

Lu Yin had not spoken to encourage people. He had only spoken what he had felt in his own heart.

Shan Yue respectfully answered, "I am already close to reaching the pinnacle of power beneath the Immortal realm. With the help of the Nirvana Tree Path, although I am still unable to defeat an Immortal, I can at least fight against one."

"Here, this is for you." While saying that, Lu Yin threw Ni Que out.

Seeing the creature, Shan Yue was shocked. "A being of the Mudwater Dominion?"

Ni Que was slammed to the ground. It had been restrained by Lu Yin and immobilized. Its civilizational weapon had been taken away, and its body had been damaged by a foreign power.

"I’ll leave it with you," Lu Yin announced.

Shan Yue just stared at Ni Que. He would never forget that name. When the Mountain Sword Sect had been used by Obscura and forced onto the battlefield, the powerful enemy that they had faced was Ni Que. However, the creature had looked down on them and only sent a mud doll to deal with them. That was actually a lucky break for them, as otherwise, the Mountain Sword Sect would have been destroyed long ago.

Even so, one day, Ni Que had arrived to slaughter them all. It had defeated their ancestor and then captured the entire Mountain Sword Sect to use them to threaten Lu Yin.

That had led to their ancestor’s death. Fortunately, they had been saved by Lu Yin and brought to the Tianyuan Megaverse. If not for Ni Que, the Mudwater Dominion would have never even known of the Trio’s existence.

Ni Que was the enemy that Shan Yue had long dreamed of killing, but he was all too aware of his own strength. He had believed there to be no hope of fulfilling this wish for the rest of his lifetime. He had never expected Ni Que to suddenly be thrown out in front of him.

Ni Que grew nervous. "Human, what are you going to do?"

Shan Yue stared at Ni Que. "Do you remember me?"

Ni Que looked at Shan Yue but did not remember him. How could it possibly remember someone like Shan Yue, who had not even been qualified to attack it in the past? The only one that it remembered was the Mountain Sword Sect's ancestor, but to Ni Que, even that man had been nothing more than an ant.

"Who are you?"

Shan Yue stared at Ni Que for a moment and then knelt before Lu Yin.

Lu Yin hurriedly pulled the man back up. "There’s no need for that."

Shan Yue said in a low voice, "If not for Lord Lu, we would have died long ago. If not for Lord Lu, I, Shan Yue, would have never caught so much as a glimpse of the great path to the Immortal realm. If not for Lord Lu, the great vengeance of my Sword Sect would have also been impossible to achieve. If not for Lord Lu, I would have never seen this Ni Que again. I ask Lord Lu to accept this bow from Shan Yue. On behalf of everyone in the Sword Sect, Shan Yue kneels in thanks to Lord Lu."

Lu Yin withdrew his hand and no longer stopped the man.

Shan Yue knelt on the ground. Lu Yin's kindness to his people was greater than the heavens’. Shan Yue had no other way to repay this man; this was all he could do.

That was also why Lu Yin did not stop him. Receiving kindness could sometimes lead to a flaw in one's mental state. He did not want Shan Yue to cultivate while carrying too heavy a burden of gratitude.

"Shan Yue? Are you from that Mountain Sword Sect? Humans, you want to kill me!" Ni Que finally reacted and started shouting. "You cannot kill me, human! I have already transferred the karma of my death onto you! Even if you do not act and someone else kills me, you will still bear the karma! You cannot escape."

Shan Yue frowned. Was Ni Que actually capable of that?

Lu Yin calmly stated, "I never said that I would kill you right now. Your method of transferring karma is indeed powerful and can even be considered a bit excessive. However, time is the greatest remedy. Although my Karmic Dao can’t deduce the method of transferring karmic chains…" He paused while observing Ni Que. "It did deduce when your karmic transfer will disappear."

Ni Que was stunned, left unable to say a single word.

This was true. Karmic transfer was by no means invincible. If the means did not have a time limit, who would ever dare to confront the Mudwater Dominion? If all of their Immortals transferred the karmic burden of their deaths to one supreme powerhouse, that individual would essentially be forced to serve as their bodyguard. Otherwise, once they died, that supreme powerhouse would be doomed as well.

There was a time limit to karmic transfer. As long as Shan Yue killed Ni Que after that time expired, Lu Yin would not be affected in the least.

Hearing this from Lu Yin, Shan Yue finally was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Time was the limit for karmic transfer, and time alone was enough to deal with the ability. The limitation of the Yan Gate’s second needle was distance. As long as enough distance was opened up, one could avoid the karmic transfer of the second needle. One was restricted by time, while the other was restricted by space. There truly was no absolute power in the Aevum Inch.

Ni Que was terrified. "Human- human, do not kill me! I can help you! No matter what, I have recorded two Immortal beings, granting me the strength to rival a two-law powerhouse. With me helping you, your civilization will definitely become stronger."

Lu Yin turned to leave. "Ni Bieluo nearly destroyed my human civilization. Your life will be the interest it pays."

After saying this, he disappeared.

Ni Que screamed, "Human—!"

After leaving the Mountain Sword Sect, Lu Yin went straight to the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow. He wanted to see what its last innate gift was.

During the war against the Trio, Hong Xia had found the Divine Crow. It was there that he had defeated Jiang Feng and Progenitor Chen. If not for Lu Hui, the two men would have been in grave danger.

Hong Xia had wanted to take the Divine Crow away, but he was unable to move it at all. It might not be possible for even Obscura to do so. Lu Yin had to use the motes of green light to move the corpse.

Lu Yin glanced at the gray figure in the distance. After thinking for a moment, he still brought Master Qing Cao with him, just in case.

"You really know how to order this old man around," Master Qing Cao said with a small smile.

Lu Yin returned the smile. "In the past, due to what benefited you, I felt that you would not allow anything to happen to me, Senior. Now, I realize that it is because of who you are."

Master Qing Cao was impressed. "Your grasp of human nature has already reached perfection, but remember to not forget the word 'pure.'"

"Pure?" Lu Yin did not understand.

Master Qing Cao sighed. “Human nature is the most complicated thing. Some people are treacherous and wicked beyond measure, and yet their starting point may be the simplest of all. The word ‘pure’ can contain far too much. No one can truly see through human nature, but in truth, to see through human nature is to see that one word: pure.”

Lu Yin understood. "Thank you for your guidance, Senior."

Master Qing Cao’s smile turned bitter. "I am simply old and feeling a bit sentimental. This cannot be considered guidance. All right, go about your business."

Lu Yin looked back at the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow and proceeded to teleport closer to it.

There was only one final eye remaining on its head.

Lu Yin released enough green lights to shroud himself, lifted his head, and looked at the eye.

Nothing happened.

Was it the same as Crow Reversal? Did he need to touch the eye to find out its ability?

Crow Immobilization and Crow Reversal had two completely different trigger methods. One immobilized a target once eye contact was made, while the other merely required looking at the target. It seemed that this third one might have the same conditions as Crow Reversal.

Lu Yin teleported to the front of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow and reached out to touch the final eye.

Even Master Qing Cao grew a bit nervous. The Divine Crow represented the pinnacle of innate gifts. Both Crow Immobilization and Crow Reversal had already helped Lu Yin greatly, allowing him to reverse situations and turn the tide in battle. Hopefully, this third eye would also contain something useful.

He touched it. Then, he disappeared.

Master Qing Cao stared at the direction of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow. Where is Lu Yin?

He quickly glanced around and then found Lu Yin standing in the distance, seemingly dazed. What happened? Teleportation?

Lu Yin stared down at his own hand, then looked back up at the Divine Crow's eye, meeting the gaze of the final eye.

Had he really just been teleported? But he had not done so himself. He had been completely passive.

He had been teleported by that eye.

Could the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow teleport? But its teleportation doesn’t work on itself? What is this ability?

Lu Yin teleported back in front of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow and reached out to touch the eye with a hand again.

Master Qing Cao watched closely.

The next instant, Lu Yin vanished.

It really was teleportation.

Master Qing Cao looked back at where Lu Yin had just been teleported to before. Sure enough, he was there again.

Lu Yin stared at the Divine Crow and proceeded to try again.

After multiple attempts, he confirmed that it was indeed teleportation. However, each time, he was teleported to the exact same location, because that was where the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow's eye was looking.

Lu Yin understood. This last eye had the innate gift to teleport a living creature, but the direction that something was moved in depended on where the eye was looking.

This really was a cheat.

Ever since obtaining Crow Immobilization, Lu Yin had felt that each of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow’s innate gifts were cheats.

From Crow Reversal to this new one, which he would call Crow Blink, each and every ability of the Divine Crow was a cheat.

All of these abilities affected others. Even if someone could avoid Crow Immobilization, they might not be able to avoid Crow Reversal, and even if they did succeed with that, they might not be able to avoid Crow Blink.

And the Divine Crow had actually possessed ten innate gifts like these. No wonder it had been so difficult to deal with. With ten powerful innate gifts, simply figuring out what they were must have been as difficult as ascending the heavens. There was no need to mention overcoming the innate gifts.

Lu Yin had no idea how the three Rampart Wardens had managed to win. It was no wonder why the Plume Immortals had been so wary of the Ten-Eyed Divine Crow. Anyone who faced the Divine Crow would run out of luck.

If all ten innate gifts were used together, it was possible that the Divine Crow’s target would not have even been able to act. A single strike would have been enough for the Divine Crow to take down any powerhouse.

The Ten-Eyed Divine Crow had truly been invincible.

Master Qing Cao said, "It does not only target enemies—it can also be used on one's own allies, moving them out of the way of otherwise unavoidable fatal disasters. This innate gift is incredibly useful."

Lu Yin’s brows shot up. He had overlooked that particular usage. Qing Cao was right. This innate gift could be used on one’s enemies, but could also be used to save their own people.
