Chapter 4531: Black Clad Bones

Great Golden Wings was blasted away, vanishing from sight in the blink of an eye. The skeletal bird retreated, and this time, it fled far faster than before. At this moment, Lu Yin truly possessed the power to kill it.

Great Golden Wings clenched its jaw. "Despicable! Humans will always be humans! Even your bones are despicable! You will not get a second chance."

"Seamless Perfection." As its words fell, its bone wings spread out. A massive phantom instantly enveloped the nearby cosmos, much like when Lu Yin had used Willforce to merge with a megaverse. He was instantly enveloped.

There was no megaverse here, so the bird could not have merged with the desires of a megaverse. This was simply a phantom, though one that was countless times larger than the phantoms produced by the birds Soaring Wings.

The phantom was Great Golden Wings, and Great Golden Wings was a skeleton. There were gaps between the bones of a skeleton, but since this phantom was called Seamless Perfection, there naturally were not any gaps.

Countless phantoms of Great Golden Wings filled the spaces between the bones. The entire thing then suddenly shrank and pressed down upon Lu Yin.

He looked out at the cosmos. Unless he teleported or charged straight out, what awaited him were countless attacks from Great Golden Wings. This attack should be the result of its unseen world.

Lu Yin raised his head to look upwards, meeting the gaze of Great Golden Wings's skeletal figure. Though neither creature had eyes, both gazes were somehow still filled with contempt.

"Die!"

The enormous phantom abruptly shrank. Lu Yin pressed his palms together. Countless stars exploded, and the Cosmic Art was released all at once, erupting in every direction. At the same time, he leapt up: Duality Seal.

The resulting crash shook the cosmos. Beyond the commotion, Stillness twisted and contorted. Layers of shockwaves spread through Great Golden Wings's phantom, shattering space.

The next moment, Lu Yin completely shattered the phantom and charged out, his whole body shrouded in black and white light as it flew out like a meteorite.

Still in the same place, Great Golden Wings turned around to stare in astonishment. The human skeleton had actually escaped.

How could a mere Aberrant possess such a vast amount of Stillness?

Lu Yin charged out of Seamless Perfection while attacking Great Golden Wings with Endless Recall. Unfortunately, he could not find where the skeleton bird itself was. The attack that he unleashed could only target the enormous phantom. Unfortunately, that was not Great Golden Wings itself.

As the phantom slowly dissipated, Lu Yin finally saw the bird. Its aura had grown unstable; clearly, it had been greatly affected when Seamless Perfection was broken. It slowly flapped its bone wings and spoke in a low voice. "What exactly are you? It is impossible for any non-Immortal being to possess such vast Stillness."

Lu Yin shrugged. "This path is filled with Stillness everywhere."

Great Golden Wings shouted, "But you were already here! Even I was a step behind you! I originally thought that, even if you had absorbed as Stillness as you could, which was the only explanation for how you could be faster than me, but you clearly possess no less Stillness than me, and you might even surpass me. You cannot possibly have absorbed this much Stillness by the time you arrived. You must have absorbed a vast amount within an Abyss. This is not something that anyone beneath the Immortal realm can do."

Lu Yin sneered. "What? Since you cant win, are you spouting nonsense now? What does it matter who I am? Right now, I am a creature of the Death Megaverse."

Great Golden Wings did not answer. It warily eyed Lu Yin, recalling every moment of their fight. At first, this guy had only barely been able to dodge its attacks, but as its speed increased, he had continued to dodge. He had clearly been hiding his strength.

The white bones of his skeleton were extremely tough, far exceeding those of even an ordinary Immortal being.

There was also that technique that had left Great Golden Wings momentarily dazed, as well as the battle technique that had genuinely threatened it. This human skeleton was far from simple.

"Human, such despicable behavior can never defeat true strength. You will not have another chance!" Great Golden Wings screeched.

Of the seven Abysses, the one thatit looked down on the most had always been Withered Requiems, which was why it had deliberately chosen to travel along that Abyss and eliminate opponents along the way.

If it had known earlier that this guy was not from Withered Requiem's Abyss, the bird would not have been so careless.

It attributed its two injuries to sneak attacks.

Lu Yin remained silent, not responding at all.

Great Golden Wingss voice dropped low. "More than 300 years ago, there was an Abyssal Displacement. You must have left Death's Dominions Abyss and gone to Withered Requiem or some other Abyss at that time. Death's Dominion died, and you escaped disaster. Youve since relied on the Stillness of another Abyss to empower your Bone Script, which is how youve survived until now. Now that the position of Abyssal is being fought for, youve reemerged.

"I knew that your use of Stillness looked familiar. This is the truth of things."

Lu Yin actually admired Great Golden Wings. It was clearly just a skeleton bird without a brain, and yet it could actually concoct such an imaginary story out of nowhere. It even sounded rather reasonable, and the Duality Seal served as evidence.

After speaking, it also released a surge of Stillness, constantly sending out more from its white bones. The entire bird skeleton was quickly dyed black like ink.

The Stillness then continued to extend along the bone wings, bone talons, and even the skull, forcibly expanding Great Golden Wings's body until it was several times larger and had become an enormous black bone bird.

It spread its wings and soared, and Stillness was released with a roar, sweeping aside the stars of Stillness that belonged to the Cosmic Art as the wave swept towards Lu Yin with irresistible power.

In an instant, the entire cosmos seemed to be split in two.

Lu Yin was startled, and he immediately unleashed Endless Recall, only for it to fail. The massive surge of Stillness represented Great Golden Wings full power, and it actually blocked Lu Yins attack. Although this Stillness was still somewhat inferior to how much Stillness was in his own Cosmic Art, Lu Yin had not released all of his Stillness, while Great Golden Wings had.

After this battle, even if it was victorious, it would still have to stop and resume absorbing Stillness. Otherwise, it would not be able to continue paving the path to the final destination.

Of course, the premise was that it was victorious.

Lu Yin pushed both of his hands together, and the Duality Seal collided with Great Golden Wings. With a bang, the Duality Seal collapsed, and Lu Yin flew backwards, knocked down from the path of Stillness.

Great Golden Wings raised both wings and struck down at him.

All of the Stillness within them was dispersed. Lu Yin could only rely on what Stillness remained to unleash the Duality Seal again, forcing himself to endure.

A black streak swept past, tearing the void open and shattering the Duality Seal. This slash pushed Lu Yin's skeleton clone along, sending him far into the distance until he vanished from sight.

Great Golden Wings stood on the path of Stillness. It was just about to attack again, but then it suddenly stopped. "If not for the fact that I do not want to waste time and benefit others, you would definitely die. If you are not already dead, consider yourself lucky."

With that, the Stillness that it had released from its bones was slowly withdrawn, and the bird proceeded to pave the broken path beneath it.

It still had some Stillness left, more than what Lu Yin believed. Great Golden Wings had also been hiding its strength. Although its battle with Lu Yin had not delayed it by much, it had still consumed quite a lot of Stillness. It was confident that its remaining reserves could last it to Death's Dominion last position, but if it consumed any more, there would be no such assurances.
