To the arakai, however, these waters were the waters of destruction and desolation. Rui didn’t hold back, allowing his Martial Embodiment to destroy everything it touched.

In the blink of an eye, the Water destroyed the many warships, warcrafts, and ascended arakai. Though these ships were equipped with prothanite, and these arakai were some of the finest warriors their civilization had to offer, it didn’t matter.
In the face of the might of a Transcendent, their power was all but naught.
The Divine Mother o-ooooo’s gritted her teeth, activating her own Webverse to counter the expansion of his Martialverse. A world of webs emerged from her mind, as if the vast mind web within her brain was being projected upon reality.

She employed every ounce of power that she was able to muster to protect her people from not just the physical force of the expanding world of water, but also from the shockingly high mental strain. Rui’s Martial Embodiment had reached a level of information density that was lethal to ordinary minds the moment even when he was a Martial Master.
With the current power he possessed, he could erase the integrated information of all lifeforms within a star system.
That was what Divine Mother o-ooooo fought to protect her people from. As a Divine Mother, she primarily specialized in manipulating the webs of the mind, unlike many of her sisters.
Born with a Webverse was not the same as being born with proficiency in the Webverse, especially when proficiency came at the cost of disappearing. Instead, they needed to familiarize themselves with their webverses over a lifetime and focus on mastering some aspect of reality that their webverses had affinities for.

She belatedly realized that his mind was his most extraordinary attribute. He was able to outmatch even her on this front, despite the fact that she specialized in webs of mind, forcing her to go all out just to prevent the complete destruction of the nexus capital of her cell.

The entire star system shook as the two Verses blasted against each other with extraordinary intensity. The collision between the Verses was unlike anything any of the mortals had ever seen.
It was not like the collisions of two explosions.
It was as though the very nature of the universe was fighting against itself. Like two corrupting viruses jousting for control over a computer system. It didn’t release blasts through space, or cause an enormous amount of matter and energy to spew out in all directions. The ripples that spill over from the clash didn’t spread through space and time, but through information itself.
It was a battle that took place at another level. Two consciousnesses with phenomenological uniformity wrestled for control over the very source of reality itself. Every arakai lifeform within the star system understood that this was a battle they had no place in.
No warship or superweapon could possibly intervene.
This was a battle between deities.
