The Divine Mothers watched the battle with intense attention. Each and every single Divine Mother took the time to put aside their critical matters and witness the battle between the Emperor of Water and three of their sisters. What they saw only stunned them more. They knew the Emperor of Water was strong. He had beaten one of their younger Divine Mothers fair and square. He successfully ambushed and killed two other Divine Mothers in battle before reinforcements could even arrive.
But to see him holding his own against three Divine Mothers, even less prominent ones, was a startling discovery.
He was much stronger than they realized. If they had tried conducting their ambush plan with their prior estimation of his power, he would have beaten them black and blue. Not only could he hold himself against three Divine Mothers, but he could even push them back. It wasn’t until o-ooooo decided to use Verse Amplification on her two sisters that the tides of the battle finally turned.
What was especially stunning was the fact that despite this, the battle was still nowhere near over. The Emperor of Water still managed to hold on, even if his body was growing more and more wounded with each passing moment. The fact that an Administrator from a minor civilization like that of human civilization was able to hold their own against a Divine Mother and even emerge on top was nothing short of astonishing.
Divine Mothers were more than just Administrators. They were also endowed with the best resources that the civilization could bestow upon an individual arakai. Laced with the pinnacle of infected matter that raised even their nominal combat prowess to astonishing levels. The Webverse merely multiplied and amplified that. This was what separated ordinary Divine Mothers from the average Administrator.
There were lesser civilizations that had somehow managed to acquire an Administrator in the past, but they were easily vanquished by even the weakest of Divine Mothers due to this gap.

"To. Think. That. He. Was. This. Tenacious..." Divine Mother oooo—— grew severe as she watched him hold on despite the overwhelming odds. "I. Had. Thought. Five. Divine. Mothers. Would. Be. Enough. But... I. Might. Have. To. Partake. In. This. Battle. Myself."
Although she was stunned by how strong the Administrator of a primitive civilization was, she was not afraid.
Divine Mothers had a hierarchy, and the ones he had fought were closer to the bottom. O-ooooo was not the only Divine Mother capable of using Verse Amplification, nor was she even remotely the strongest. The mind was one of the most profound of webs, and thus many Divine Mothers had chosen to master it.
If a high-tier Divine Mother chose to amplify a high-tier Divine Mother combatant, she did not believe that the Emperor of Water would emerge victorious. If not for no such esteemed Divine Mother willing to take such a risk without the guarantee of getting their hands on the method to overwhelm the price of the Verse, they would have already attacked him by now. With each passing moment, the Emperor of Water displayed more and more power, greatly increasing the difficulty of achieving their goal.
Her eyes shifted to the halo of fractal geometries that surrounded him. She had managed to discern that the armor alone had managed to keep o-ooooo at bay, which stunned her. With such an armor, getting access to the memories in his mind were undoubtedly going to be extremely difficult.
She considered making the trip to the Colton Star System and help them succeed in capturing him, but the entire space of the star system was tightly locked by Webverse-amplified interdiction fields. She would need a day to get there, by when the battle would undoubtedly have ended, one way or another.
All she could do was watch and gather intelligence. If they succeeded in capturing him, that would be great. But if not, they would still learn a lot about his true Martial prowess.
Far away, Divine Mother ooo—o- frowned despite the fact that her partner was doing well with their agreement.
"This. Strength... Roping. Him. Into. Arakai. Web. Civilization. Will. Be. Difficult."
That was her goal. The more she learned about human civilization, the more she wanted this profoundly miraculous civilization to join theirs. Miracles like Paths were treasures that, if harnessed, would allow them to become the most powerful civilization in the star strand or perhaps even the galaxy.
If the Emperor of Water was this strong, however, she knew that it would be very difficult to convince him to join their civilization. She was aware that his acceptance of this possibility was perfunctory at best. The only way humanity would agree to join the arakai was if they were desperate.
Thus, the Emperor being this strong was not in her interests.
"He. Certainly. Isn’t. Lacking. In. Confidence," she noted as she watched o-ooooo and o—o fight him, pressuring at short and long ranges.
This had only happened because he chose to fight three at once. If he wanted, he could have immediately left after making o-ooooo use her Webverse. Instead, he had the audacity to stay in enemy territory to gather intelligence from her mind. And even when reinforcements came, he took them head-on despite being outnumbered.
However, with how many wounds his body was sustaining, she suspected he might come to regret this choice.
The best outcome for her was that he would get away.
The second best outcome, however, was that he would die.
The worst outcome was that he would get captured.
If the War Faction got their hands on the secret to avoiding the cost of the verse, then ooo—o- could kiss, although she didn’t have lips, her dreams goodbye. The other Divine Mothers would instantly agree to join their faction in exchange for the power. Moreover, being unshackled would cause the other Divine Mothers to be more willing to deploy their power actively and aggressively. At that point, even she would have to resign and join the War Faction. Avoiding the price of the Transcendent Realm was too juicy to reject even for her.
"Hm?" She sharpened her six eyes as she noticed Rui’s eyes glowing red. "What. Is. He. Up. To?"
