RUMBLE!!!!!The shift in the battle was abrupt. One moment, the six Divine Mothers had been very much on the offensive. The very next moment, however, they not only achieved their goal, but then suddenly got ambushed by yet another Administrator who came out of literally nowhere.
This was the third time.
The third time that human civilization had pulled an unknown Administrator out of nowhere. It had been shocking enough with Argenton and even more astounding with Mother Maeria. But the appearance of Amare, who easily decapitated one of the most valued Divine Mothers of the War Faction, was mind-numblingly horrifying beyond words.
It was to the point that they couldn’t help but wonder whether human civilization had cracked the method to stably produce Divine Mothers without the astronomical trial and error that the arakai relied on. That would explain why a civilization of only ten thousand stars had multiple Administrators, most of whom had appeared within a short period of time.
Regardless of what the truth was, the Divine Mothers didn’t let themselves be consumed by the absurdity of what was happening. What mattered to them was their goal. Their objective to acquire the secret of Administrative impunity had been achieved.
Now, they needed to get back alive with enough stamina to perform the method to persist beyond the price of Administration.

Every Divine Mother dashed for the edges of the solar system at the highest possible pace they possibly could. All of their grievances and resentment towards the Transcendents of humanity were suppressed. Their grief for their fallen sister. Their desire to save their imprisoned sister. All of these feelings were pushed down as they dedicated their everything to the sole purpose of escaping.
Some distance behind them, Rui, Amare, Argenton, and God’s Hammer chased. Mother Maeria leveraged nature to spread its roots deep into Gaia, all the way into the negatron core of the planet, gaining direct control over it.

She used her formidable power to create a powerful interdiction field using her Natureverse and the negatron core, preventing even the extraordinary Gate of Conquest from opening a wormhole into the solar system to allow the Divine Mothers to escape. She was the only reason they even had a chance at killing all the Divine Mothers before they escaped.
With the Mindwebber dead, the chasers no longer had to deal with a hive mind or Verse amplification. However, despite that, there were only four chasers compared to the five escapees.
On top of that, each escapee was stronger than their chasers, on average. They had been firing attacks on the Divine Mothers, but had failed to take them down despite that. The Divine Mothers had come equipped with armor that they had spent a lot of time weaving tightly upon their bodies, armor that had been largely unharmed throughout the battle. The only favorable variable was that the Divine Mothers had split up in their escape, most likely because of an intense desire to avoid being targeted by multiple chasers when escaping. That mistake was the only hope the chasers had, but it was not enough by itself. Rui, who had been chasing after the Leader of the War Faction, was especially aware of the fact that he couldn’t kill this Divine Mother before she escaped.
At least, not by himself.
Thankfully, he was not alone.
’We need to work together.’ He contacted Amare mentally, communicating through the information dimension. ’The two of us need to take them down one by one. It’s the only way.’
He didn’t bring Argenton and God’s Hammer into this little kill squad of husband and wife because the two of them were too weak, while the latter was too damaged, to do anything about it.
Amare nodded with intensity, despite being thousands of kilometers away already, a distance that kept increasing. ’What’s the plan?’
They had a few minutes left before the Divine Mothers fully escaped the solar system; they needed to kill each of them before it was too late. Time slowed down in Rui’s eyes as he pushed his mind to the very limit, activating Megamind. His eyes became blood-red as his cognition surged. The surge of power, along with his photonic processing, allowed him to process an enormous amount of information to come up with the best plan to hunt them down.
’A two-phase pinning attack tactic is the best option.’
It was a tactic where one unit engaged and pinned the target, distracting them and redirecting their resources while the second unit would destroy the target while the target was engaged. A simple but effective way to leverage two combat units against one.
It was obvious which one of them was fit to be the eliminator and fixer. Although Rui certainly had many lethal techniques at his disposal, Amare had proven to be an edge above him in that regard. Despite having broken through recently(?), she had two Martialverses, which together were stronger than his. And she was the only one who had actually killed a Divine Mother in this battle.
’I’ll engage and incapacitate them with a combination of techniques, and you will kill them while they are incapacitated,’ he told her, sharing the details with her. ’We rinse and repeat for all of them.’
She received the details of his plan, skimming through them. Strangely enough, she didn’t seem surprised at mentions of hyperdimensional Martial Art, which should have been entirely alien to her because he had discovered these principles after she went into isolated training.
She simply nodded after understanding the plan he had come up with. ’Let’s do it.’
Rui entered the higher dimensions, opening a wormhole to her location through them. Even though Mother Maeria’s iron-clad interdiction field prevented wormholes from appearing, that only applied to the base dimensions of reality. Rui could freely teleport through the higher dimensions.
WHOOSH
He teleported to her side, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her to his side. Immediately, he felt her warmth, relishing in her distractingly nice odor despite the vacuum of space; a combination of the florally-scented soap she used and her sweat.
’Focus.’ Her voice reminded him of the imperative of succeeding. At the moment, they were hurtling through space at speeds that exceeded that of light, chasing after the equally superluminal Divine Mothers.
At the speeds they were traveling at, it would be around five minutes before each of the Divine Mothers reached the planetary edge of the solar system, from where they would be able to access the Gate of Conquest.
In five minutes, they had to kill five Divine Mothers.
"Let’s go."
