In order to catch up with the Divine Mothers, Rui entered the higher dimensions, using hyperdimensional maneuvering, which gave him a huge advantage against the Divine Mothers. He brought Amare with him using the old method of washing away quantum flux around the Calabi-Yau manifolds. There was not enough time to legislate her Martial Body.WHOOSH!
The two of them shot through the higher dimensions at extraordinary speeds as their very existences became transparent in the real world, indicating their incorporeal nature. The first Divine Mother they targeted was the one Rui deemed most important to kill.
The leader of the War Faction. Rui’s blood-red eyes sharpened as they drew closer to her with hyperdimensional motion. This alien woman needed to die, as far as he was concerned. Throughout the battle, she had managed to keep the upper hand against him despite not going all out. She had pushed him to the very brink on numerous occasions, but had wisely drawn back, not wanting to force him to go nuclear. She was wise, calm, calculated, and extremely intelligent. If she escaped, Rui estimated that the probability of humanity’s downfall was twice as high as if they managed to kill her.
Not to mention, her death would undoubtedly destabilize her faction and weaken it. He was sure she had made some preparations for this possibility, but it would at best be a very flawed solution. The Pluralist Faction would grow more powerful with her death, relatively speaking, and that was good for human civilization.
She turned, her six eyes spotting them at just a thousand kilometers away and rapidly approaching. She quickly used her Webverse to bind the Calabi-Yau manifold, trying to prevent Rui from returning to the base dimensions from the higher dimensions. The effort, however, took away from her speed, increasing the amount of time they had to kill her.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The Calabi-Yau manifolds tightened, serving as a barrier. Rui’s Martialverse and altered laws alone weren’t enough to overcome her extraordinarily powerful Verse, just as they hadn’t been during their battle. His time, however, he wasn’t alone.
RUMBLE!!!!!!!
Amare exerted both of her Martialverses: that of her mental consciousness and her corporeal consciousness, using them to bolster Rui’s power. Even though she had never manipulated the Calabi-Yau manifold before, Rui fixed that by using Soul Retcon to manipulate her muscle memory. It was one of her greatest cheats, as someone who had an immense amount of memories to edit and alter.
RUMBLE!!!!!!!
Divine Mother oooo——’s six eyes widened as the two of them managed to overwhelm her elder Webverse, breaking through the higher dimensions and returning to the base dimensions, just a hundred meters away from the fleeing arakai.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Divine Mother oooo—— barely managed to react to Rui’s attack. But in this case, his fists weren’t the biggest problem. It was the Tide of Samsara that he had injected into her body point-blank upon contact. No matter how fast she was, she couldn’t react to an attack that had to cross zero distance.
RUMBLE!!!!!
Her body quaked as the Tide of Samsara spread across it. Yet, unlike the Mindwebber who had been completely incapacitated with the poison for quite some time, the leader of the War Faction simply scoffed.
"This. Is. Too. Weak. To. Harm. The. Temple. That. Is. My. Body."
The laws in her body were so extremely divergent from the normal laws in reality that the Tide of Samsara was effortlessly crushed. She had ordained the laws of her body such that any foreign substance that entered her body, that wasn’t able to integrate into the complex web of her substance, would be trapped in a web of space-time.
Only the hyperdimensional aspect of the poison momentarily distracted her, forcing her to use her Verse to seal the Calabi-Yau manifolds within her body.
And yet, that momentary distraction was enough.
Amare’s attack came from behind, moving at superluminal speeds. The Divine Mother reacted, thrusting her web stinger towards Amare with the power of an exploding sun, threatening to kill her then and there.
She would have, if not for one little detail about Amare’s power. One that not even the Divine Mother had managed to fully comprehend.
Amare’s attack traveled through time.
SPLAT
CLICK...?
A confused question escaped the pincers of the elderly Divine Mother as the world around her tumbled.
It was only then that she realized it was her head that had tumbled.
She had been decapitated, just as her sister had.
But unlike her sister, the altered laws of her body allowed her to survive even this. Unlike her sister, her composure didn’t completely break. She regained her bearings just a nanosecond later, before instantaneously making a decision.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
The decapitated body suddenly attacked Amare and Rui while the severed head flew away, much to the shock of the two Transcendents. The body fought with a self-destructive vigor, momentarily stalling them, trying to engage them while the head, which preserved the consciousness of the Divine Mother, rushed away at even greater speeds.
"I’ll handle the body!" Amare yelled. "You go hunt and destroy the head!"
Rui nodded as his ethereal eyes flared with bone-chilling bloodlust. He rarely developed hatred for his opponent in the midst of a battle. But this tenacious Divine Mother... was starting to truly earn his ire.
"You’re going nowhere."
WHOOSH!!!
He charged through the higher dimensions at speeds that beggared the imagination. Not even the fastest superluminal drive ever developed by the dwarves could match the speeds at which he was moving. But the effort was necessary. The severed head had lost a lot of mass from the detached body, but had retained the Verse, allowing it to drastically accelerate compared to the previous speeds at which she fled the solar system.
Her six eyes lit up with ecstasy as she finally reached the edge of the solar system nearly two minutes later, the edge where the interdiction field that Mother Maeria amplified had grown extremely weakened.
But alas, she was too late.
The last thing she heard was a name.
The name of the technique that would kill her.
"Circles of Infinity."
It didn’t matter how powerful her Verse was. With just a head, she could not muster the needed defenses to survive Rui’s most powerful attack. At the moment of impact, for an infinitesimally small moment of time, an infinite amount of force struck her cranium.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
RUMBLE!!!!!!
The world shook violently as the head of the leader of the War Faction was reduced to nothingness.
Four Divine Mother left. Three minutes remaining.
