Chapter 890: Summoning Effect [Magic Castle Bonus Chapter ]

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

At the Luxury Viewing Box, where the four rulers of the four Empires within Crymora sat, the air was calm... well, almost.

The impotent Emperor, Emperor Aetherion Khaelor Vantheos of the Vandross Empire, where Acker was from, wore a frown on his face. Although he had lost, he wasn’t bothered by that at the moment. In fact, personally, he hadn’t even expected Acker to perform so well. After all, Acker had never used either his Buddha Blessing ability, the eighteen meteors, or even the summoning of the Buddha.

Each of those had come as a surprise to him, though not as a huge one.

What made him frown at that moment was the fact that Acker had summoned... whatever that was. Even if it wasn’t truly a god and was merely something posing as one, it didn’t matter anymore. He knew that things would begin to change the moment he returned to the Vandross Empire. He had promised Acker a temple and a group of followers because he had believed the boy was simply delusional.

But now that Acker had displayed such a spectacle, even if he failed to fulfill that promise, people would begin shaving their heads, going bald on purpose, imitating Acker, and eventually gathering together to form their own temples, churches, or whatever else they chose to call them.

Although it seemed that such a situation could easily be stopped by issuing an Imperial decree, doing so would only make matters far worse. It might even twist this particular Buddha, who preached peace, into something entirely different, such as pursuing peace through destruction. After all, if everything was destroyed and wiped away, wasn’t that the ultimate form of peace?

Emperor Aetherion Khaelor Vantheos could already feel a headache coming on the more he thought about it.

Since people had already witnessed the descent of the Buddha, all he could do now was contain the situation.

"It seems you’re quite in a bind," the Overlord remarked calmly as she crossed one leg over the other.

Emperor Aetherion sighed before replying, "This is going to become an issue for quite some time." He shook his head at his own words as though he could already foresee exactly how events would unfold if he wasn’t careful.

Although religion didn’t exist within Crymora... well, at least according to every historical record they possessed... one didn’t need something to exist to understand just how dangerous it could become. Religion, when wielded as a weapon, could be extraordinarily dangerous.

"At least ours will be easier to handle," Empress Nymeria Sol Virelle of the Velkarin Empire said calmly.

The Vandross Empire wasn’t the only one caught in this predicament. They were simply engulfed in a much larger fire because Acker was one of their own. As for the other Empires, they would inevitably encounter similar issues, though on a much smaller scale, making them considerably easier to manage should anything arise.

"I don’t see why the three of you are complaining. This entire issue can be resolved with a single statement from each of us," Emperor Zolthemir said calmly from where he sat.

The eyes of the other three rulers shifted towards him as they asked in unison, "How?"

Although none of them said it aloud, Zolthemir was unquestionably the most shrewd and cunning among the four of them. The man was simply too intelligent. The fact that he had once suffered a defeat at the hands of the Wargrave Family didn’t change that reality. After all, that had merely been a miscalculation on his part. He had spent years successfully avoiding the powerful minds, only to be exposed by a mere child.

Besides, each of the three rulers present had suffered losses against him during their countless political manoeuvres and subtle confrontations. To Zolthemir, a situation like this wasn’t something that required more than a few seconds of thought before arriving at a solution.

"How much are the three of you willing to pay for it? After all, I’m certain my solution would save you an enormous amount of stress, manpower, and resources," Emperor Zolthemir said with a smile, clearly seeing this as the perfect opportunity to make a profit.

The moment those words left his mouth, however, the other three rulers immediately lost interest. None of them had the slightest intention of paying even a single coin to such a greedy man.

Emperor Zolthemir merely sighed before deciding to reveal his idea anyway.

"Honestly, it’s simple. Just common sense," he began. "At this point, the non-existent cat is already out of the non-existent bag. That means if you return to your respective Empires and announce that gods are fake or nonexistent, people will only become even more determined to prove otherwise. I don’t need to explain human nature to the three of you, do I?" He paused briefly, meeting the eyes of the other rulers, all of whom nodded in understanding.

"So, all you have to do is announce that the so-called god was killed by Asher Wargrave. It might sound ridiculous because gods are supposedly omnipotent, but you can simply explain that this particular deity embodied peace and meditation rather than combat. Furthermore, it was caught completely off guard by Asher’s surprise attack and his clone’s distraction. I don’t think I need to elaborate any further on that point, do I?" Emperor Zolthemir concluded.

He had already provided them with the blueprint. How each of them chose to shape the story from that point onward depended entirely upon them. They could even use the Buddha Avatar’s own final words to Asher against Him, presenting them as the final words of a defeated deity.

The minds of the three rulers immediately began spinning as they silently formed plans of their own.

"What about Acker? With his god’s death, wouldn’t people assume his abilities should disappear as well?" Emperor Aetherion asked.

"Then simply tell them that blessings bestowed by a god are permanent. Or say that the god made Acker’s abilities permanent in His final moments before disappearing," Emperor Zolthemir replied with a casual shrug. How Emperor Aetherion chose to weave that narrative for the people of the Vandross Empire was entirely his own responsibility.

As for the Crownstar Life Rankers themselves, none of them believed gods truly existed. To them, a god, or anything resembling one, was merely a being with a cultivation realm beyond ordinary comprehension. After all, if any one of them traveled back twenty thousand years with their current strength to an era before the Star Fall, they themselves would undoubtedly be worshipped as gods.

To them, becoming a god depended solely upon the civilization observing you and nothing more.

Although none of them voiced it aloud, every single ruler present understood one undeniable truth.... From this day onward, Acker Holloway would be in extreme danger.

Why? Because he had summoned an entity from the Great Beyond, bypassing the World Barrier itself.

One way or another, hw would have to summon that Buddha again, and when he did, that Buddha would have to be captured and questioned.
