At the Luxury Viewing Box where Azazel, Azaron, and Malrik sat, the three of them discussed what had just happened."What do you think this Buddha being is?" Azazel asked, a grin spreading across his face, although he would have preferred the Buddha’s real body to descend instead so they could face off.
Azaron remained silent for a moment before replying, "I don’t know, but if there is anything this proves, it’s the fact that something can step through the World Barrier that has held us all back all this time." His tone was low, his golden eyes rising toward the sky as he gazed at the World Barrier once more.
Azaron wouldn’t deny it. He had confronted the World Barrier with his full power, even trying to disintegrate it into nothingness through his Void Affinity, but nothing had worked.
"But that then begs the question; how many things have crossed over into our planet? If anything has ever crossed over before," Malrik stated, his voice calm.
As Malrik spoke those words, Azaron’s eyes flickered as though he knew a particular secret that was exclusive only to the Primarch of the Wargrave Family.
"While our thoughts might be right or wrong, don’t you two think that whatever that praying kid summoned was quite... weak?" Azazel stated as he fell into a contemplative expression.
Azaron and Malrik remained silent. They had witnessed the summoned Buddha restore Acker Holloway’s entire Astra Energy reserves, something everyone had deemed impossible since the Star Fall Era, as they believed Astra Energy could only be recovered through one method alone. This alone told them that this Buddha was at least powerful and had already broken common sense.
"Maybe that’s the price the being had to pay to step into Crymora. After all, the World Barrier is no joke," Malrik guessed.
"Then does that mean that if we ever left Crymora, we would also become weaker?" Azaron asked as he voiced his thoughts.
The three of them sat in silence before Azazel sighed as he spoke, "Sigh... I can already feel a headache coming just from thinking about all this." He massaged his temples as though he were truly feeling the headache.
Although the three of them didn’t know they were approaching everything the wrong way, they could only think this way. Even if they went back and searched the entire planet, they would still find nothing.
But the three of them remained calm... far too calm. Many were already thinking about the possibility of a world invasion and the like, yet these three were simply sitting here, casually analyzing the situation.
Alas, although the upper echelon of the world would panic for a while, at the end of the day, things would remain the same unless Acker summoned the Buddha again.
But one also had to consider Acker Holloway, who was sleeping like a baby at this very moment. How would he react when he woke up and found out that his so-called god, his final trump card, had lost? Would he immediately turn on his god and start believing in another religion? Or would his delusions crumble before his very eyes, forcing him to accept reality? Would he feel scammed after devoting his entire life to this cause?
Or would he conceive an entirely new delusion, something like Asher being the real Hero sent by Buddha, and that Acker’s true mission had never been to cleanse the world of sin, but rather to help the Hero cleave the world of sin?
Anyone would pay hefty sums to read Acker’s mind and see his expression when he heard the news and watched the video of Asher battling his Buddha. That would be the pinnacle of entertainment.
"Well, the matter of the Buddha aside," Azazel continued, "it seems it’s time for our children to finally clash," he mused, his black eyes rising toward his daughter.
"Seems like yesterday when we were still below the Crownstar Life Rank," Azaron stated as he mused, his tone turning almost melancholic.
The back-to-back action, the missions, the enemies, the danger, the thrill, all of it had pushed him to become who he was today. But now... none of that existed anymore. There was no longer any thrill in most battles, as hardly anyone could match him. There were no more legions or beasts storming toward him for battle. The Crownstar Life Rank, despite being the ultimate Life Rank, had become the ultimate cage for Azaron.
’If only some of those Sinvairas would just grow a couple of balls and attack me like they did Father,’ Azaron thought to himself.
Although he had fought Emperor Zolthemir and Assassin Leader Valentine, both of them had simply been too weak for him to go all out. Azaron couldn’t even remember the last time he had used any of Ender’s abilities.
Azaron wished that ’The Consumed’ organization had at least one or two people that could match him. They are supposed to, right? If they don’t, how are they supposed to accomplish their grand goal?
This was one of the hopes Azaron had. He prayed they made their moves anytime soon, just so he could have some fun, nothing more, nothing less.
’Although hunting them would be more thrilling,’ he mused to himself.
As Azaron contemplated life, Malrik spoke in a calm tone.
"You think your daughter possesses enough power to display something beyond what that Acker kid showed?" His tone remained calm as his blue eyes shifted toward Azazel.
Malrik knew that Azazel wouldn’t look forward to the battle if his daughter couldn’t at least accomplish that much.
"Which is why I’m looking forward to this battle. I want to see my daughter unleash everything she has. I want to see your brother use that hidden power. I want to see him reveal every skill he has kept hidden until this moment, if there are any," Azazel replied with a smile.
His faith remained steadfast in his daughter, believing she would win no matter how much hype Asher had built around himself. While it obviously wouldn’t be easy, when had anything in life ever been easy?
Seeing Malrik not reply, Azazel spoke again, "How about a bet between you and me, since your father doesn’t want to bet?" he suggested as though he wanted to empty the Wargrave Family vault.
Malrik’s eyes shifted toward Azaron, who remained silent. He then shook his head. Although he was confident that Asher would win, he would rather place his bets through the betting company. He didn’t know Azazel well enough to bet with the man. What if, after losing, the man went back on his word?
"You and Azaron are no fun," Azazel stated with a sigh.
If only the man knew that Azaron didn’t want to bet with him so that Azazel wouldn’t somehow end up moving into the Wargrave Estate for a few months because of some outrageous wager.
"May the best child win," Azaron finally spoke, his eyes fixed ahead.
Azazel said nothing more. He simply picked up a drink from the table beside him and took a sip with a smile on his face like a proud father. The world was about to witness the brilliance of Arianna Haellight, and only he and his daughter knew it.
