Seeing the Lightning Dragon attack land on Arianna, ’Z’ instantly spun on his feet as he unleashed a kick against Arianna’s chest with wicked impact. The force sent her shooting backwards, her body tearing through the air before she twisted midair and landed on her feet as she bled and coughed up blood from the impact. Her eyes shone as she activated her Genesis Archive ability and tapped into her healing technique, immediately healing herself. But the moment she landed, all she saw was the same Light Beam attack she had used earlier closing in for her chest. But before the attack could land, Asher appeared between her and the attack, the moment he did, Virelass slashed downwards as he split the Light Beam into two equal halves that immediately detonated beside both of them, sending waves of light across the battlefield.
Arianna and Asher stayed focused on ’Z’ as the man simply stared at them with coldness in his eyes. They could already tell that a way to defeat this man was by not using any other abilities or skills, or ’Z’s Mirror ability would simply allow him to use them against them, hence working against them.
But that was easier said than done, after all, the man himself was a swordmaster, and could keep up with and dominate both of them when it came to sheer physical attacks. Their abilities were once again the only way to win, but even that option came with considerable risk.
Suddenly, Asher’s mind snapped onto something he had ignored. Although ’Z’ had been using their own attacks against them, the man had never used any type of evasive skill against them. For example, the man had never teleported until now, he didn’t Mirror their healing abilities to heal himself. He didn’t turn himself into Lightning bolts to dodge physical attacks.
That was because those weren’t attacks used against him, as only attacks used against him could be Mirrored. It was a crucial distinction.
As Asher had this thought, he immediately communicated with Arianna telepathically without missing a beat. Arianna immediately understood that evasive abilities and skills could still be used, but not attacking ones, giving them a narrow advantage.
But as Asher and Arianna were communicating, ’Z’ had no one to communicate with, so he simply moved, his body still covered in Astra energy as he rocketed forward with a speed that neither Asher nor Arianna could truly follow.
But Asher and Arianna were no pushovers, same types of attack would never work against them again. Their perception surged as they moved to evade. But before they could even employ their abilities, their bodies froze as ’Z’ employed the Spatial Lock that Arianna had used against him earlier, locking the both of them in place.
In less than a blip he arrived, his katana moving once more as he moved to sever all eight limbs. But before the attack could land, Asher ignored the Spatial Lock restrictions as he activated Position Marker, and due to his feet touching Arianna’s both of them vanished from where they stood in a white blur as Asher had already anticipated something like this happening and prepared for it.
Asher and Arianna appeared a few kilometers away as Asher had already marked the ground where he had landed when ’Z’ had severed his hand and kicked his temples.
The moment they appeared, ’Z’ snapped his head towards them, but before he could even move, Asher moved first as he raised his hand. StellarFlame came to life as the pure white flames burned hot, the heat climbing with every passing moment and distorting the air around him.
Arianna frowned in confusion, they had agreed no more attacking skills, yet Asher was now going against that. But she didn’t say anything as she understood how smart Asher was. If he was attacking, then he had a reason.
Then with that, Asher unleashed a flash of pure burning flame, beaming forward like a cannon blast. Seeing the incoming attack, ’Z’ raised his katana to split the attack in half, the moment he did, the flame attack successfully split in half.
But the moment it did, Asher clenched his fist as the two split halves immediately snapped from each side, collapsing into ’Z’ from opposite directions. And with that, a ruinous crescendo of flames erupted with apocalyptic fury.
Asher’s thoughts were simple. Since William couldn’t copy StellarFlame, then surely, even ’Z’ couldn’t Mirror it as it was an attack that relied entirely on Star Energy.
’Z’ appeared again, burns could be seen on his body, greater burnt marks this time as Asher’s flame attack had burned off his clothes. He had used his Astra energy at the last moment to block, but for some reason, these particular flames seemed to burn through Astra energy itself.
’Z’ couldn’t understand how or why he couldn’t Mirror these white flames, but he didn’t think much about it.
Instead, he readied himself to move as he saw Asher was about to engage. Asher smirked as he vanished into the sky, as he transitioned into a full-time flame mage. The moment he appeared in the sky, various gigantic flame balls appeared, akin to the time the Buddhist had summoned comets.
With an infinite amount of Star Energy, Asher didn’t need to care about expenditure. He simply pushed his Star Energy control to the limits as he infused twenty enormous StellarFlame balls with an outrageous amount of Star Energy. Then without missing a beat, he sent them downwards, each one descending with terrifying force.
Arianna, who was also on the ground, didn’t delay remaining in place as she knew she too would be affected. Her body vanished as she teleported towards the sky, then she shot into the clouds, as she stood there to observe the destruction from there, keeping her distance from the coming devastation.
’Z’ didn’t panic, he knew there was no way he could block this amount of flames. Although he could at least tank it with his body, he knew the flames possessed some outrageous effects, as the burns he had received from it earlier burned the Astra energy within his veins before they died out.
With that, he took a talisman from his space ring and tore it in half. The moment he did, a flash of light flickered as the next moment a blue transparent dome appeared before him as he didn’t break eye contact with Asher.
And with that, the gigantic StellarFlame balls collapsed upon the blue shield with devastating impact and force. The already destroyed battlefield was erased once more as everything within a one-thousand-kilometer radius was consumed in burning madness. The temperature reached an all-time high, as though reality itself was going to melt beneath the flames.
’Z’ frowned within his shield as he felt it crack, his pupil narrowing a bit as he wondered what sort of flames the Tenth Sun was using, as even his lifesaving artifact hadn’t truly held against it.
The next moment, the blue shield covering him shattered, but the moment it shattered, the apocalypse from Asher’s attack had already ended. But after it was done, Asher didn’t wait, he simply forcefully waved his hand as he blasted the smoke to the side.
The moment he did, he saw ’Z’ standing without a new injury. Asher refused to believe that ’Z’ had such a talisman again. And with that, arrows made of StellarFlame appeared in the sky, their numbers in the millions as they blotted out the entire sky, their tips pointed towards a single man.
And with that, he pointed downwards yet again.
