"Wait," Ezekiel suddenly spoke, "you didn’t mention your Flame affinity earlier. Why? And you haven’t explained that white energy of yours either," he suddenly remembered.
At his question, it dawned on them that Asher hadn’t mentioned his flames when he talked about the affinities he got a year ago.
Asher’s eyes turned to Ezekiel as he spoke, "I was just about to get to that." He shook his head as though he didn’t want to rush his explanation. "The truth is, the true affinity I gained from the Star Core Fragment is the Star affinity," he stated.
Asher’s words were another blow to them. Although he might have called that unique form of his the Star Form, it didn’t really mean it was related to the Star. If they had confirmation and already knew, they wouldn’t be pestering him now.
But hearing him confirm it left them in bewilderment.
Eyes couldn’t help but shift to Malrik, who possessed the Sun affinity, then to their Father, who possessed the Nebula affinity, then to Wuthenya, who possessed the Moon affinity. All of them possessed an affinity related to the celestial bodies.
They couldn’t help but sigh at the thought of being left out of the Constellation Group.
"The Star affinity is the true affinity, and from it, I got Light, Space, and Gravity, but it doesn’t end there," Asher continued speaking. "The Star affinity also grants me Star Energy." He lifted his hand as white energy enveloped his palm. "According to the knowledge I received, Star Energy is the true energy, while Astra Energy is a byproduct that was generated after Star Energy pulsed through the world upon the Star Fall." He paused for a moment, his eyes shifting to his siblings, who seemed to have stopped breathing at this point, as he added the final nail to the coffin.
"And the reason I didn’t talk about the Flame affinity is because I never possessed it from the beginning," he continued. "But a couple of months back, I suddenly awakened it after my control over Star Energy took a huge step." He paused yet again as the Star Energy cloaking his hand vanished. "That was when I found out that whenever my control over Star Energy reaches a certain point, I gain another affinity that is related to the Star. But how many more affinities I can awaken, I don’t know, although I have to train each affinity from scratch, which is a chore," he stated in finality.
Nobody knew what to say anymore. They simply sat there, not daring to stare at their little brother as though he was the son of some unknown god or something.
They couldn’t help but feel like punching him as he sat there and complained about having to train a new affinity from scratch. To them, everything he already possessed was insane, just for him to reveal that Astra Energy was merely a byproduct and that he could awaken even more affinities in the future.
"I feel like I’m getting dizzy," Apollo spoke as he held his head as though trying to stop himself from falling, his voice shattering the silence that had consumed the room.
"There is no way one person can be this blessed, right? Right!!!???" Olivia asked as she felt everything was insane.
Ezekiel simply sighed as he spoke in a mischievous tone, "I wonder how much The Convergence would be willing to pay if I handed Asher over to them together with this information."
Asher’s lips could only twitch at Ezekiel’s words, but he said nothing; he was the weaker one here.
Wuthenya simply shook her head, "With all these abilities and stuff, you might as well become Primarch by tomorrow, and none of us would object," she stated with a sigh.
"I will happily decline. Seems like too much work," Asher replied with a small smile.
Xavian, who was seated beside Wuthenya, turned to Azaron, who was deep in thought. "Father, when are we heading to the Cursed Lands?" he asked.
Azaron stayed silent, not replying as though what he was thinking about at the moment was too important to interrupt.
Seeing Azaron not reply, Malrik spoke on the man’s behalf, "We won’t... or rather, to be more specific, none of you will be heading there."
They were about to object, but Malrik explained.
"Just because the youngest found something there doesn’t mean we will," he continued to speak, "but that doesn’t mean we aren’t going. I, Father, and a few other people will go, but it will be in secret and with no more than four or five people. After all, if we march there in the open, not just the Zarethorne Empire nobles, but every powerhouse in the world and all four Empires would feel like we’ve found something in the Cursed Lands and would make a move." He paused as though giving them time to understand.
"Although we normally just beat up people who stand in our way, this time, such an approach won’t work, as what we are going there for is simply too important to act without care and planning," he stated in finality.
The Suns and Moons frowned. They understood Malrik perfectly, but they wanted to be there; they couldn’t bear to miss it.
"Your brother is right," Azaron finally spoke as he was done thinking about whatever had occupied him. "Leave this matter to us. If any of you wish to join the expedition, get to the Crownstar Life Rank before we depart," he stated.
Everyone couldn’t help but roll their eyes at the impossible condition.
With that, the meal continued, although it was already coming to an end. They kept asking Asher various questions, but Asher simply said he had told them everything he knew. They asked about the Star Form, whether it was also an ability like Perfect Astra Energy Control, but he answered that it was a skill he had created.
Of course, after a while, the conversation shifted in another direction and towards another person, but the topic found its way back to Asher most of the time. They asked about the evolution he received from the Fruit Of Dawn, which he simply answered, leaving out only the upgrade of the blood Virelass drank by one rank.
The meal soon came to an end, and with that, Azaron and everyone rose to their feet. But before they could leave the dining hall, Azaron waved his hand, and a portal opened up.
"Follow me," he stated flatly and stepped through the portal.
Although the Suns and Moons didn’t know where the portal led or what their Father was doing, they simply walked through it.
Stepping through the portal, Asher seemed to arrive at some unknown location. Trees, mountains, rivers, and oceans stretched out in various directions. Above, in the sky, a moon hung and blessed the world with its beautiful silver rays of light, as it was already 8 PM in the evening.
The others weren’t as curious as Asher, as though they were familiar with the place. It didn’t take Asher more than a couple of seconds to immediately come to an answer.
This place was Azaron’s Separate Dimension.
