The night deepened as the Suns and Moons spent almost all the night getting trashed by Azaron, and the man particularly enjoyed toying with all of them, if he was being honest. It was simply too fun. After a couple of hours, they all returned to the Dining Hall, and without waiting for even a single second, they all headed towards their rooms.
The two guards who were at the door pushed the double doors open the moment they heard footsteps approach. As they walked out, the maids, butlers, and the two guards at the door were stunned to see the Suns and Moons covered in dirt, with torn clothes and blood, some of them even having injuries on their bodies.
Malrik walked with a smile on his face as Solaris remained hanging on his waist. Every injury that Azaron had inflicted had been healed through his control over Light and Solar Energy, although he was covered in blood and dirt, with his clothes torn.
Conrad didn’t ask what had happened. Seeing the happy smile on his Master’s face, he could already guess what had happened.
Wuthenya was also in the same state, her perfectly arranged black hair was scattered, and her nightgown tattered. Through the blessings of the Moon, her injuries had healed, although she personally didn’t possess any healing abilities.
Xavian and Xavienne walked out, possessing no healing abilities. Their bodies were covered in injuries, but they didn’t even blink at them. Instead, they were satisfied that the family meal had ended on a perfect note.
Apollo had healed himself through his soul-bound scythe’s ability. Just like how Asher’s rapier could store blood, Apollo’s soul-bound scythe could store souls, and later, he could summon these souls to either fight alongside him or basically do anything he asked of them.
He had summoned one with a healing ability. As for how he had gotten it, Malrik had taken him to kill a particular group, and there, he presented the healer’s soul as a birthday gift to Apollo because the boy had asked for it.
Ezekiel also had injuries, but since his affinity was water, he had already created healing skills with his water affinity, hence healing himself. Although he couldn’t achieve limb regeneration just yet, healing smaller and non-critical injuries easily was within his power.
Mary, who could manipulate space, could only endure her injuries as she didn’t have any healing skill or ability that she had created. She could only go back to her room and endure.
Olivia healed herself through time, Thalric limped towards his room, while Asher also walked out fine, but his torn clothes showed that he too had received his own set of injuries.
As everyone’s personal maids and butlers followed their Masters, Lyra simply followed right behind Asher as they headed towards his room, no maid or butler daring to openly ask what had happened.
As Azaron walked out with his usual flat expression, the guards and Zarek immediately bowed. Azaron gazed in the direction of Asher’s room, his eyes falling on Lyra for a moment as he simply stared at her.
He wasn’t looking at her sexually or in any other weird way. He was only looking because he had sensed Lyra’s Radiant Soulstar Life Rank aura when she unleashed it to show Asher. Although she had tried to keep it hidden and as restrained as possible to avoid detection, it was still impossible, as the perceptions of Crownstar Life Rankers were no joke.
Every Crownstar Life Ranker within the entire Wargrave Estate had sensed it. As they were in a state of heavy security, it was impossible for them not to sense it. Even if they weren’t in a state of high alert, they would still have sensed it.
Zarek gazed in the direction Lyra and Asher were heading. He didn’t need to ask to know what was on Azaron’s mind. He too was wondering what had happened and how a single mission had changed this woman so drastically.
As he was the head butler of the entire Wargrave Estate, he knew Lyra’s previous Life Rank before Asher started making waves, and when she had also broken through to the Dust Wavestar Life Rank. He had also known she was a bit talented, but not talented enough to reach the Soulstar Life Rank, let alone in a span of eight months.
As the head butler, it was his job to know all these things, so he wasn’t exactly spying on her or anything of the sort.
"Found anything yet?" Azaron asked as he turned and headed towards his own room.
Zarek, who followed right behind him, shook his head as he replied respectfully, "I haven’t. Although I’ve personally gone to the territory where she had taken her last mission and explored the cave and everything according to her report, I found nothing," he answered truthfully. "Even the portal she mentioned in her report was gone, just as she had also mentioned in her mission report."
Azaron nodded and said nothing else, as he had already expected this. With Lyra’s sudden leap in power, of course they had investigated. He had personally sent his right-hand man to check out everything with his own eyes.
"Do you think it’s the Convergence or the Sinvairas making a move?" Azaron asked as he walked.
While he might love fighting and wasn’t really the type of guy to scheme and plot, it didn’t mean he was stupid or naive. Azaron found it hard to believe that the moment his son showed immense talent to the world, they had been attacked because of his said son, and the personal maid of this son of his had instantly experienced a spike in power.
It was simply too much of a coincidence for Azaron and Zarek.
"Should I put a tail on her?" Zarek asked as he walked calmly.
Azaron thought about it for a moment, then shook his head. "No need, the fact that she showed her current power to the youngest is a good thing," he stated.
"And could also be a bad thing," Zarek interjected. "She could just be trying to remove any suspicions from herself. After all, a huge secret is no longer a secret if you expose yourself by yourself," he mused as he analyzed the possibility that it could all be part of the plan.
"I understand that," Azaron replied with a sigh, "but we will forget about this for a while," he stated in finality.
Although he could have just personally called Asher and Lyra together or separately and asked both of them for information, he decided not to do that. Fortuitous encounters, while rare, weren’t unknown throughout the world of Crymora. Besides, he was coming to another guess that Lyra had this fortuitous encounter because she was the youngest’s personal maid. After all, the youngest himself had two fortuitous encounters, the Star Core Fragment and the Fruit of Dawn.
’While the Fruit Of Dawn can’t be considered a fortuitous encounter, I will consider it one,’ he mused to himself with a shake of his head and a smile.
He couldn’t help but wonder that if Lyra had a fortuitous encounter because she was Asher’s maid, what of him, who was Azaron’s Father? Would he get one? Having such a thought, Azaron shook his head, clearing the thought from his mind.
He was already too powerful. There were barely five humans that he knew could match him. For there to be any fortuitous encounter for someone like him, the encounter had to be insanely powerful. He shook his head again and decided to stop daydreaming like some naive man.
’Well... I guess with Threshold I’s presence, there are about six people now who could match me,’ he mused to himself. ’Although I’m also getting stronger,’ he thought as he walked.
He couldn’t help but wonder how many dangerous people like Threshold I were still hidden throughout the planet. But as he was deep in thought, he was brought out of his thoughts by Zarek, who spoke.
"It seems you had a lot of fun with your children," the butler spoke, as he already knew they had sparred within Azaron’s Separate Dimension.
Azaron smiled as he stated, "I, in fact, did," he mused aloud. "Although I saw their progress and how powerful they were about a week ago during the battle with the Convergence, I decided to feel it for myself," his tone was happy. "And I must say, everyone is progressing perfectly and steadily. Besides, this spar would serve as a great motivation to everyone," he stated in proud tone.
Zarek nodded his head as he was also happy for the Suns and Moons and the progress they were all making.
"What of Malrik? Now you’ve seen him fight, how long do you think it will take him to reach your current level?" Zarek asked, saying ’current level’ because he knew Azaron was a man who progressed too quickly, and after his battle with Threshold I, coming face to face with death and being forced to use Radiation, which he had never used before, Zarek wasn’t sure just how much his master would progress.
