"On the subject of siblings," Vaelric began to speak as he sat down on the bed, "aren’t you going to introduce us to your siblings?" he asked.
Asher simply shook his head, as he wasn’t going to be doing that. "If any of them want to talk to you, they would talk to you. If they don’t want to, then they don’t want to," he stated calmly, as he wasn’t going to force his friends down their throats.
"It’s a shame we couldn’t talk to the Duke," William stated with a sigh. He had seen Azaron and could feel the power coming from the man just from him standing there and addressing the former Emperor.
Ryaen turned around as she asked, "And what would you even ask him or talk to him about?"
William shrugged as he replied, "Anything, who cares?"
Hearing William’s reply, Ryaen shook her head with a small smile, her head turning towards the curved monitor before her.
’Since the Duke is around, I wonder if my luck will kick in and he would accept me as a disciple,’ Finch, who was also staring at the TV like William, mused to himself.
Although he knew that was just wishful thinking, he didn’t underestimate his Good Luck ability. The moment he thought about his Good Luck ability, he couldn’t help but remember that the Yearbound ability was about to activate.
’In four days, we would gain a new ability,’ Finch thought, his words directed towards a particular someone as he spoke, ’aren’t you getting excited, Lior?’ he asked.
Lior, who was chilling within Finch’s soul, replied, ’I wouldn’t deny it. I wonder if your Good Luck ability can really influence my Yearbound ability. After all, everything we’ve said thus far is mere speculation,’ his tone flat as he stayed within Finch’s soul.
He was still injured from Asher’s attack the last time they had fought during the final rounds of the Inter-Empire competition. And until his injuries were perfectly healed, Lior didn’t plan on leaving Finch’s soul. After all, it wasn’t like there was anyone or anything waiting for him outside.
Finch nodded to himself at Lior’s words. The Yearbound ability could just awaken something useless, like the ability to walk faster under a shade, or something even more random and useless. Finch wouldn’t lie, although he trusted his Good Luck ability, a part of him was feeling restless and a bit fearful.
As Finch was lost in his own thoughts, Vaelric spoke again.
"You know, Asher, you are kind of a bad host," the Prince stated.
Asher looked confused as he wondered where this was coming from. Seeing Asher’s confusion, Vaelric continued.
"I mean, we are practically here for the first time, and you didn’t even show us around," Vaelric stated. "You just showed us our rooms and then brought us here," he added.
Asher paused for a moment, as that had indeed been true. He couldn’t help but sigh as he shook his head. Since they had nothing to do, Asher simply decided to show them around. With that, he got off the bed.
"Let’s move then," he stated as his feet slipped into his slippers.
William sighed as he turned off the television and rose to his feet, Finch mirroring his movements. The first place Asher showed them was his own personal training chamber. Since it was already within his room, Asher decided to show it first.
William and Finch entered eagerly. The training chambers they had in their homes were the basic ones, and they wanted to see the type the Wargrave family possessed.
Asher’s personal training chamber came with various compartments and features. There was a section dedicated to lifting weights in order to build strength, another for speed and stamina. Then there was a gravity feature that simply multiplied the gravity one felt, putting pressure and strain on the entire body.
Asher turned on another feature, and the ambient Astra Energy in the air skyrocketed, making the training chamber good for cultivation.
Although William and Finch were already familiar with the Training Facility Building at the Star Academy and knew how sophisticated it was, they still quite liked Asher’s personal one. After all, the one in their rooms back at the Star Academy wasn’t as good as this.
"Does your family have a training facility or building that matches the one at the Star Academy?" Finch couldn’t help but ask, as he wondered if a Dukedom could match the training facilities of the Star Academy.
Asher shook his head as they walked out of his training chamber. "I don’t really know, I’ve not asked, but I’m guessing we should. After all, we have Soulstar and Crownstar Life Rankers who need that level of facility," he answered truthfully.
Everyone nodded their heads at Asher’s words as they left the room together.
’I guess I should ask Father or Malrik about the training facility thing later,’ Asher made a mental note.
As they stepped out of the room, Lyra, who had been standing at the door, bowed for a moment, then followed behind, staying neither too close nor too far away. She simply stayed at a reasonable distance so she could respond whenever she was needed.
Asher showed everyone every corner of the Wargrave building. Of course, he didn’t necessarily enter everywhere; he would simply point at a door and say what the room was for. After all, he couldn’t just open the door to Azaron’s room or even those of any of his siblings.
They arrived at Azaron’s study room, and Asher simply gestured towards it as he spoke, "This is my Father’s study room, he spends most of his time here," he explained as his eyes turned towards Zarek, who was standing there, "and this is my Father’s personal butler and right-hand man, Uncle Zarek. He was the one who wrote and sent the letters to your families." Asher paused for a moment, then added, "He is also at the Crownstar Life Rank."
Zarek, who hadn’t expected an introduction from Asher, only arched an eyebrow before he gave a smile to Ryaen, William, Finch, and Vaelric as he spoke.
"I hope you all are enjoying your stay, Young Lords," his tone calm and respectful.
The boys and Ryaen stepped forward as they exchanged words with Zarek for a moment. They couldn’t help but wonder if all the Suns and Moons’ maids and butlers were all overpowered. After all, Asher had introduced Lyra, who was at the Radiant Soulstar Life Rank, and now another servant who was at the Crownstar Life Rank.
They couldn’t comprehend people at such ranks acting as a maid or butler. It was simply insanity to them, as not even Prince Vaelric saw such things at the Royal Palace.
Asher thought for a moment and decided to just introduce his friends to Azaron, although the man already knew of them. Besides, there was nothing wrong with a son introducing a group of friends to his Father, right?
Although Omni Perception told him Azaron wasn’t in his office, Asher wasn’t stupid enough to believe that people like Azaron couldn’t bypass Omni Perception.
As Asher was about to walk forward and open the door, he was stopped by Zarek, who stated in a calm tone.
"The Duke isn’t available at the moment, Tenth Sun."
Asher arched an eyebrow as he wondered where Azaron had run off to, but before he could ask, Zarek replied as though he had anticipated the question.
"After escorting His Majesty out of the Estate, he said he had something to handle and would be back at an unknown time," the man stated, but lied as he knew Azaron was already outside the Zarethorne Empire.
