Asher shook his head and decided to just share the things he had with his friends. Since he was meeting Cindralis today, he didn’t exactly know how long the mission would take, so it was best to give out his stuff at the moment.
"Well... since I would be meeting the Principal today and might start the mission immediately, and also don’t know when I would be seeing you guys again," Asher began to speak, "I should probably share the Academy points I was given as a reward."
Hearing Asher’s words, Ryaen, William, Finch and Vaelric stopped talking as their eyes immediately turned towards Asher. Nobody was going to say no to free Academy points, no one would.
Their Academy cards immediately appeared in their hands from their space rings. Seeing this, Asher’s lips couldn’t help but twitch at his so-called friends. He was suddenly tempted to go give it to the student who was last on the ranking, that way they could train more and not be expelled next year.
Although they would be bullied and the Academy points taken the moment Asher graduates.
Asher shook his head with a sigh as he took out the golden card and tossed it to William as he spoke, "This is for you. I hope you abuse it to the greatest extent within your power."
William caught the golden card with a stunned expression. He had forgotten about the golden card, not just him, everyone had because they had thought it was exclusively for Asher and couldn’t be given out.
Although Asher had said he hoped William would abuse it, he knew the boy definitely would, after all, the boy’s work and training ethic was insane.
"Are... are you sure you can give this out?" He asked doubtfully as he didn’t want to be turned away whenever he got to the Training Facility Building to use it.
Asher nodded as he spoke, "You can. I already asked the Principal about it two days ago when I went to talk to her about my early graduation," his tone calm.
Ryaen, Finch and Vaelric couldn’t help but stare at the card, they couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous. After all, with the card, William’s expenditure had dropped by a whopping ninety percent or so. Now, William only needed points for just normal things like dry cleaning and such, which cost meager Academy points like ten and so on depending.
None of them went around asking stuff like "Why him?" "Why not me?" They simply accepted Asher’s decision, it was never theirs to ask or receive.
William smiled as he spoke, "Don’t regret it when I surpass you within that one-year time limit on the card," his tone playful as he was obviously joking, as he wasn’t delusional enough to believe such a thing.
Asher smirked as he replied, "I shall await your challenge," his tone also playful as he knew William wouldn’t be issuing anything.
William simply smiled at Asher’s words as he said in a final tone that was filled with pure gratitude, "Thank you for this."
Asher nodded as he replied, "You’re welcome," while hoping William doesn’t thank him again as he was a bit awkward when it came to these things.
Asher turned to Ryaen, Finch and Vaelric as he spoke, "No need to be jealous of him, you guys get points," his tone light.
The three of them gave a weak smile, happy nonetheless, at least they got something, and besides, two million eight thousand points in three ways was an insane amount of Academy points. They only had to go out on missions only because they wanted to refine themselves in battle and train their techniques and such, not because they needed the Academy points.
Astra energy flowed into Asher’s card as he tapped it against the three of their cards. Their cards vibrated as the next moment each of them received six hundred and fifty thousand points.
They couldn’t help but become confused as the "math wasn’t mathing" at the moment, but they didn’t say anything, neither did they show anything on their facial expressions as they could always hide their emotions and thoughts as Nobles. If Asher held back some small amount of points, then he had use for it.
Asher, sensing their confusion through Emotion Perception, explained, "I plan to share the remaining hundred and thirty thousand student points with random classmates I come across today."
Ryaen replied with a happy smile, "Even if you gave us less than what you just gave us, it’s still something, after all, we did nothing to receive it, so thank you very much for this parting gift."
"Thank you, Asher," Finch and Vaelric said at the same time, truly happy.
"No need for thanks, what are friends for anyway?" Asher replied as he waved his hand.
The others didn’t push it, they simply smiled at his words. After being friends with Asher for almost a year, they had come to understand his attitude when it came to receiving thanks from people he helped.
"Anyway, that’s my cue," Asher spoke as he rose to his feet as he stretched a bit.
"Heading to see the Principal already?" William asked.
"Soon," Asher replied, "I will have to give out these points then go to her after," his tone calm.
William and the others nodded.
Asher said nothing else as he stepped out of William’s room and stepped into the hallway as he closed the door behind him. Asher’s eyes shifted to the staircase, and for the first time since forever, Asher decided to use the staircase.
Upon getting to the fourth floor, he met a girl who was in his class. Upon seeing Asher on the staircase, she paused in surprise as everyone knew of the Tenth Sun’s habit of jumping from the top floor.
"Take out your Academy card," Asher spoke without greeting or exchanging any soft words, his voice flat.
The girl immediately frowned as she wondered if the Tenth Sun was about to bully her out of the ten thousand Academy points she had been given by the Principal. But she didn’t say anything, and simply took out her Academy card as she knew she stood no chance if she resisted.
But the moment she took it out and saw the Tenth Sun tap his card against hers, she couldn’t help but arch an eyebrow as she received twenty thousand points. But before she could say anything, Asher simply walked past her without a word.
She could only turn around and stare at the Tenth Sun as she wondered if the Tenth Sun had been admiring her for a while but didn’t just know how to express it. She began to walk faster as she vanished into her room, ready to gist her friends.
If Asher heard her thoughts, he would simply laugh.
Asher, who remained oblivious to the girl’s daydreaming, simply went about his day sharing the points in various amounts. Some five thousand, some ten thousand, some thirteen thousand, depending on the number that popped into his head at the moment he was about to transfer the points.
Students could only wonder why the Tenth Sun was suddenly so generous today. After all, he had failed a class intentionally for them earlier today, and now he was sharing points.
