Chapter 1083: Dangerous Epiphany

Asher returned to his room the moment his point balance hit zero, not returning to William’s room as he was going to meet Cindralis right now.

Sitting on his couch, he took out the orb he was given by Instructor Jane. During the final exam, Instructor Jane had given him this orb and said it was from Cindralis. All he had to do was crush it, and he would be within her office.

He didn’t hesitate and simply crushed it. The moment the orb shattered, a portal appeared before him. He rose to his feet and stepped through it, and on the other side was Cindralis’ familiar, plain office.

"You are here," Cindralis spoke without lifting her head from the file she was looking at.

"I greet the Principal," Asher greeted with a light bow.

Cindralis didn’t speak for a couple of minutes as she seemed to be busy. Asher wasn’t in a haste as he didn’t exactly have anything pressing to do, so he simply stood in silence and waited for her to be done with whatever documents she was glancing through.

After about half an hour, Cindralis sighed as she tossed the last file onto the table.

"So, I heard you failed a test," her tone was calm, "and I have to say that was a surprise, as I expected you to breeze through all of it," her black eyes meeting Asher’s purple ones.

"Instructor Jude should have explained the reason behind it," Asher replied without any explanation, as he was sure Instructor Jude had given one, or maybe he didn’t and she had been spying on everyone from the jump.

Hearing Asher’s words, Cindralis shook her head as she spoke again, "Since you came for the mission, then let’s talk about that."

Asher nodded his head as he didn’t exactly have anything else to discuss with Cindralis.

Cindralis maintained eye contact as she continued, "Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any missions that suit you." She sighed. "Everything we found either takes months to complete or more, so I decided to just scrap the missions idea and let you graduate. After all, what is the need of testing you when I’ve seen how strong you already are?" she said with a tired sigh.

And indeed, she had tried finding something for Asher, but she hadn’t found anything suitable, not even her subordinates had found any. It was exactly because of this issue that graduation exams were prepared in advance. So, she just decided to graduate Asher as a reward since the golden card and Academy points were now useless to him.

Asher stood stunned. He hadn’t expected that there would be no mission. He had come here, planning to depart today and go on the mission, but it seemed there was no need.

"Surprised, right?" Cindralis asked with a calm smile. "Well, I guess you are in luck," she said as she shook her head.

’I guess so,’ Asher mused to himself. He had been looking forward to fighting or exchanging attacks with some people, even if they were weak.

"The graduation is set to begin in a week, be ready then," Cindralis continued, her voice breaking Asher out of his thoughts.

"I understand," Asher replied with a nod.

Cindralis stayed silent for a moment as she gazed at him, then stated in finality, "You may leave."

As those words left her lips, her eyes returned to her documents as though she had lost interest in Asher. Asher turned around without a word. He stepped through the portal he came through, as it had been open all along, since Cindralis knew he wouldn’t waste time here.

As he appeared within his living room, Asher sighed for a moment, then shook his head as the portal behind him closed. He sat down and simply stared into space as though he was lost in thought.

’I wonder if Thalric was able to convince Cindralis to allow him to graduate early,’ Asher couldn’t help but think of Thalric, after all, the boy had said he also wanted to apply for early graduation.

’Maybe he hadn’t met her yet,’ Asher guessed. After all, he had met Cindralis twice and the woman hadn’t even brought it up.

’Maybe I should have brought it up,’ he thought to himself in silence for a moment, then sighed as he chose to forget about it.

Although he was curious, he couldn’t go finding Thalric just because he was curious. He was simply too lazy to do that.

"I should cultivate," he murmured out loud as he sat.

For almost a month now, he hadn’t really cultivated. After all, he had gone to the Thalvorn Empire, went touring, participated in the Inter-Empire Tournament, came back, spent time with his siblings, then with his friends before returning to the Star Academy, and then spent some time resolving Teo Swig’s issue.

Although he had trained a few times within the Gentle Hotel room, according to his standards that didn’t count as true training. Besides, that was just training; he hadn’t cultivated for a while. Although his passive cultivation was active, it was slow compared to when he did it through conscious thought.

’I will spend the next one week cultivating. Finch, William, Ryaen and Vaelric would probably assume I’ve gone for the mission,’ he concluded to himself and immediately rose to his feet.

As he walked towards the door, his footsteps suddenly halted. He had just been going to the Training Facility Building to train, but now, he didn’t have a single Academy point, and he also didn’t have the gold card as he had given it to William as a parting gift.

Although he could tell William to give him the card for just one week before giving it back, Asher felt as though it was wrong. Although they were friends and William wouldn’t think anything of it, he just didn’t feel comfortable with it.

’Sigh... the chance to abuse those high level cultivation chambers is gone,’ he sighed in defeat as he turned around and headed towards his private cultivation chamber that came with the Academy rooms.

Besides, he was sure that William was going to start abusing the Training Facility Building from tomorrow since the boy was talking with his friends, or possibly even from this night, as that guy trained like a maniac.

Asher stepped into his cultivation chamber. He pressed a button, and the Astra energy hummed and spiked through the air. He sat down at the centre as he prepared to start controlling Astra energy to refine and strengthen his Astra veins. But the next moment, he suddenly stopped as an idea struck him like an epiphany.

Since Astra energy could be used to strengthen and refine the Astra veins in order for them to become stronger, then nourish the body in return, hence expanding and breaking through to the next Life Rank to hold more Astra energy reserves... what would happen if he substituted Astra energy for Star Energy?

Asher’s eyes flashed with a bit of greed and curiosity. But the next moment, the greed and curiosity vanished as he didn’t dare do such a dangerous thing.

First of all, the human body didn’t just possess some one or two Astra veins or such random low numbers. The Astra veins are wrapped around veins throughout the body, and any random medical student out there knows that no one knew the amount of veins in the body, unlike bones that were just two hundred and six.
