Chapter 1084: Graduation Ceremony

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

So, veins were basically in the millions, essentially uncountable. There wasn’t even a known estimate, meaning that Astra veins were basically the same.

Him wrapping every single Astra vein in his body would mean messing with his own body. He didn’t have enough control over his Star Energy to try such a thing. If he did, he could just fall down and die without even knowing how he died. Although he had Virelass, who could always heal him, at the end of the day, she didn’t possess the ability to bring him back to life whenever he died.

Also, this was one of the things that always fascinated him about this world. Everyone possessed the ability to refine and strengthen millions of Astra veins during cultivation, but such precise control couldn’t be applied to their external Astra energy control, only their internal control.

It was as though it was another Law of the World, just as the Monster Tide was like a Law or phenomenon of the World.

’But still, the gains would be ridiculously immense and outrageous if I could do that,’ Asher thought to himself.

’And what if they mutate into, like, Star Veins or something... My already outrageous Physique would take another quantitative leap,’ he thought in silence. ’I might even become as strong as a Radiant Soulstar Life Ranker, just a step below the Crownstar Life Rank.’ His eyes narrowed at the thought of reaching the top.

’Should I abandon cultivation and begin Star Energy control training?’ he contemplated for a moment, then immediately rejected the idea for obvious reasons.

Calming his excited mind, he focused on his cultivation. Astra energy in the training chamber hummed and flowed towards him as he was consumed in silence.

A whole week passed, and Asher did nothing but sit in a lotus position and cultivate. He didn’t speak, he didn’t blink, or even move throughout the time. The system was the only thing that acknowledged the passage of time for him.

[Ding]

[Host, it’s 7 a.m., the day of the graduation ceremony]

Asher’s eyes fluttered open as the system broke his concentration according to his earlier command. Since he didn’t know the time of the graduation because he would be stuck in cultivation, he simply decided to stop by 7 a.m. and ask his friends later on. After all, these things usually happened around 9 a.m. or 10 a.m.

Asher rose to his feet and stretched. His body wasn’t stiff or anything of the sort despite remaining in one place for a whole week, thanks to the Absolute Physique. Stepping out of the training chamber, he took off his clothes and entered the bathroom. Minutes passed before he stepped out.

He took out his phone from the system inventory and scrolled through the messages.

’Arianna has finally replied. It seems she has arrived at the Velkarin Empire,’ Asher thought, but shelved the thought of her for now as he had a graduation to attend.

His eyes landed on William’s messages, which said the event was at 9 a.m., the message showing "forwarded" at the top, as Finch had probably sent it to William first. And indeed, Finch had sent it to William, as William had locked himself up at the Training Facility Building for a week, just as Asher had suspected.

Asher wore the perfect clothing for the occasion, then walked out of his room as he headed towards the location that was within the message William had forwarded earlier. Soon, Asher got to the Event Hall, and he had to admit that the setting was different from the usual, as this was a happy occasion.

"Hey, Asher," Finch called his name from ahead as he waved, not shouting as he was sure someone with Asher’s senses would hear him even if he didn’t shout.

Asher walked towards his friends as they were already waiting. They wanted to ask how the mission went, but they didn’t have much time as the occasion soon began.

Vice Principal Berion was in charge of it. He began with some sleep-inducing speech about how the Star Academy was founded, then went ahead to talk about alumni that were now powerhouses or occupied positions of power.

The air seemed to become boring as none of the students seemed to care. Soon, the names of students who graduated were called. They were presented with various awards, not plaques that didn’t help anyone’s life, but actual rewards ranging from various artefacts to weapons or techniques, all depending on their ranking. Clearly, the Star Academy had opened its pockets for them.

When people heard Asher’s name, every student was stunned for a moment as they didn’t understand how a first year was suddenly graduating. But the first-year students seemed to immediately understand why Asher had been sharing his points.

Asher didn’t receive any reward, sadly. He could only collect the certificate and return to his seat as people clapped. Cindralis appeared, gave the final speech, and hers was short, just two minutes, and she was done, then left like she was never there.

And with that, the event ended, and students were allowed to go home for the End of the Year holiday.

"Sigh... who would have thought we would be parting ways this soon?" Ryaen spoke as they all stood together.

Asher smiled as he replied, "You guys talk like I’m dying. I’m still alive and kicking, you know. Besides, you know the way to the Wargrave Estate, and you also have my phone number too," he added.

William said nothing and simply stepped forward and pulled Asher into a hug as he patted his back. He broke the embrace as he spoke, "I will miss you, man."

"Only a fool would believe you," Asher replied with a smile. "Once you lock yourself at the Training Facility Building, you’ve forgotten about me in your quest for power," he joked.

William and Vaelric also said their piece, but it wasn’t only them. Vaelra stepped forward, Darissa also stepped forward, everyone from the top ten coming forward to congratulate him on his early graduation.

After that, they all left, leaving Asher only with his friends. Asher stared at the Star Academy one last time, a small smile on his face. He hadn’t removed the Mark in his room; he could remove it anytime with a thought anyway, so he left it.

He turned to his friends as he spoke, "I will be waiting for you guys at the top." His words were sincere.

Finch smiled as he replied, "With my luck, I might get there before you, you know."

His words earned a bit of a chuckle from everyone, but unknown to them, Finch wasn’t entirely joking.

"I will miss this place," Asher stated as he stood outside and stared at the sky. No one replied; they just stood in silence and let the wind caress their skin.

He turned to his friends, nodded at them, they nodded back at him, and with that, they all tore their Teleportation Scrolls, and in a flash of white light, they vanished from the Star Academy and Separate Dimension.

Asher Wargrave, The Tenth Sun, The Dominator, The Crusher of Talent, the Most Talented Being on the Planet, had finally ended his Academy journey and was about to begin a new journey.
