Chapter 1195: Silverleaf Physique

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Ryuk Silverleaf was moving in another direction, tangling with the Second Regent as their weapons met endlessly. They clashed and tangled relentlessly through the battlefield and sky, their speed and attacks relentless as daggers and katana met with pure precision, speed, finesse, and raw swordsmanship.

The Second Regent was already cloaking himself in Astra Energy, boosting his strength, speed, endurance, and everything else from the onset, unlike the First Regent, who hadn’t tapped into his Astra Energy reserves.

The only thing he wasn’t using at the moment was his ability.

As he unleashed over ten million slashes within the span of a moment, Ryuk Silverleaf didn’t frown; his expression remained indifferent as his speed spiked once more, his hand blurring out of existence as he met the slashes head-on. Muffled bangs erupted outwards as sword lines, sword arcs, and sword lights intertwined ceaselessly.

The battlefield twisted as sword marks painted the entire scene, stretching across a five-thousand-kilometer radius, as everything had been reduced to rubble and echoes of destruction and madness.

Ryuk Silverleaf leaped backwards as he dodged another attack with extreme ease, his body flickering between stones and pebbles that were still falling downwards.

The Second Regent frowned; he couldn’t understand what was going on. Unlike him, Ryuk Silverleaf hadn’t enhanced himself with Astra Energy. The man was simply moving and keeping up with him despite the Second Regent having enhanced himself with Astra Energy, which was supposed to be impossible.

His eyes flashed with numerous calculations and thoughts, as guessing and reading your opponent was a norm during a battle; that way, you could gain an upper hand.

He clicked his tongue in a bit of frustration as he shot forward like an arrow from a bow. He leaped between each floating rock and pebble, landing on the final one, before shooting forward in a burst of blitzing speed, his dagger screaming towards Ryuk’s temples from the side.

Ryuk didn’t even glance in the direction of the attack as he read it effortlessly regardless of its speed and precision. He didn’t block, he didn’t evade; he simply retaliated as his katana carved a beautiful upward arc through the air. His katana closed towards the Second Regent’s wrist.

As the katana closed in on the wrist of his attacking hand, the Second Regent made a snap decision. Although he was cloaked in Astra Energy that boosted his defence and should have prevented damage since Ryuk’s katana wasn’t covered in Astra Energy, the Second Regent’s sixth sense only sent warning signals.

Hence, he immediately recalibrated as he stopped his own attack midway, then twisted forward as he unleashed a series of stabs with alien-like accuracy and precision.

Seeing the incoming attack, Ryuk stopped his own attack, his perception keeping up effortlessly. His katana rerouted as he parried the Second Regent’s attacks, his black eyes dancing in their sockets as he read and parried each attack.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The floating rubble around them instantly shattered and burst into fine dust that dissipated under the force of their collisions.

Ryuk Silverleaf and the Second Regent stepped into the air, both of them leaping backwards as they landed on the earth. Everything around them was reduced to nothing but carnage and apocalypse.

’Is this guy even Human?’

The Second Regent thought to himself as his braids danced in the wake of his surging Astra Energy. The ease and calmness with which Ryuk was moving and keeping up despite not using Astra Energy was something only a Crownstar Life Ranker should have been able to pull off against him. Not even a fellow Radiant Soulstar Life Ranker who was stronger than him would have it this easy.

As if he sensed the Second Regent’s inner turmoil, Ryuk Silverleaf spoke in a calm tone.

"I would suggest you use your ability immediately, or you might not even know how you died. I’m only dragging this out and haven’t killed you yet despite the numerous chances I’ve gotten simply because none of my Soldiers or colleagues require any immediate aid or help. If not... Well, I haven’t fought in a long while; that’s all I’m trying to say."

He suggested, warned, and explained in one breath as he sheathed his katana and stood with his hands folded against his chest. His black jacket robe hanging on his shoulder danced to the rhythm of the wind.

At Ryuk Silverleaf’s words, the Second Regent frowned. He had never been disrespected like this. He felt mocked, insulted, and looked down upon. If he used his ability just because his opponent said so, wouldn’t that be admitting that he was weaker and could be killed?

Ryuk, seeing that the Second Regent made no move to use his ability, simply sighed in disappointment.

Just like his son, Saitama Silverleaf, he too possessed a Unique Physique. One could be called the origin of it, as he was the first to awaken it, and his son, Saitama, also awakened it. As for Ryuk’s own father, the man was simply an unawakened who had died centuries ago. Even his mother was also an unawakened.

So, this father-and-son pair were the only ones with this Physique, as it seemed to be turning into some sort of bloodline ability.

Ryuk Silverleaf hadn’t used any Astra Energy till now, not because he didn’t want to, but simply because he couldn’t. He and Saitama were the first Humans who became awakeners yet didn’t possess the ability to use Astra Energy. It was strange, yet unique.

All they possessed was pure physical parameters, their Physique, and the raw talent that accompanied it.

One of the abilities of the Silverleaf Physique, as Ryuk had decided to name it after his son, Saitama inherited the same Physique, was that they could freely manipulate their innate stats as they saw fit, allowing them to scale up any parameter to a ridiculous degree.

Meaning, if Ryuk possessed one hundred (100) stats in strength, speed, stamina, vitality, agility, and sense simultaneously, the man could freely move 99 stats from strength, pouring them into speed temporarily, hence his speed reaching the one-hundred-and-ninety-nine mark (199), instantly doubling.

He and his son, Saitama, had used this unique innate ability of theirs to bully people endlessly.

They were unique through and through, as they didn’t need to cultivate like everybody else to break through Life Ranks. All they had to do was train their bodies, and they would grow stronger in tandem.

Even without the innate ability to distribute stats, the Silverleaf Physique granted Ryuk and Saitama insanely absurd physical strength, speed, sense, and other parameters regardless.

With this ability, the Second Regent could only hope to injure Ryuk if he didn’t follow the advice given.

"Well, since you won’t take my advice, I suppose only on the verge of death, when you understand the difference, would you understand."

Ryuk sighed as he shook his head, his tone gentle, as if he cared and was simply looking out for the Second Regent.

His right leg moved, but before he could even take a step, he was already upon the Second Regent, standing face-to-face with the man.

The Second Regent’s eyes widened in pure shock as he wasn’t able to follow the speed. He moved as he tried to create distance between himself and Ryuk, but before he could even complete the motion, the sound of flesh tearing echoed in his ears as he felt it.

Pain bloomed across his chest, and something warm trickled down his skin.

He gazed down towards his chest, and there, a horizontal slash had torn open his chest at a speed he couldn’t even perceive.
