Chapter 1204: Suggestion

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Although all ten Alternate Versions shared one memory that stemmed from the moment the Original Damian summoned them, it didn’t mean they all had one singular thought at each moment, nor could they read each other’s thoughts.

And all the memories created from that point became independent, remaining separate until Damian cancelled the Ultimate Skill, thereby removing them from reality. At that point, he would gain all of their memories.

Damian snapped out of his thoughts as he turned towards the Third Alternate Version and replied.

"You make it sound like I’m planning something evil. I’m simply having a personal and normal thought."

He answered as a small smile appeared on his lips, confidence filling his voice.

The ten Alternate Versions stared at him, then shook their heads as they already knew what Damian was working on. As for this new thought to summon infinite versions of himself through infinite Astra Energy, they would only come to know of this when Damian summoned them the next time.

But what Damian had failed to ask himself was this;

Since these Alternate Versions of himself weren’t clones that could be created by just anyone, if he, the Original Damian, died, would his Alternate Versions also die, or would they retain their lives and keep living?

And since they all possessed the same memories as him, and were literally him in a possible way, since they all possessed the same thought process, genius, personality, and the likes, wouldn’t they hide his death, then insert themselves into the Wargrave Estate, now living as Zero?

After all, just as Zero possessed love for his family, the ten Alternate Versions possessed the same love and will to protect.

And also, would one of the Alternate Versions suddenly grow ambitious and assassinate the Original Damian?

Although this might seem impossible since the Original Damian would gain their independent memories and all the thoughts they had while they existed within reality, what if any one of them had the thought at this very moment and decided to act on it? How would the Original Damian know?

But alas... all these were just conjectures, guesses, and what-ifs, as they might happen, and might not happen.

The Fourth Alternate Version sighed for a moment, then shook his head as he spoke in a calm tone.

"Zero, if you aren’t careful, Crymora might kill you herself. After all, the skills on your list of creation are a bit dangerous, and all things are supposed to have limitations."

He advised, his eyes rising to meet the Original Damian.

Although there was no evidence that the Planet was alive or anything of the sort, Crownstar Life Rankers who had visited the World Barrier believed it was and had created the World Barrier for a reason.

And although the Planet had never killed anyone... that they knew of or that was recorded in history, it didn’t mean it hadn’t happened. After all, just because something had never happened didn’t mean it couldn’t happen.

There was a first time for everything within Existence and Reality.

Damian shrugged as he didn’t really care about any of this. He wouldn’t halt his own path to the top because of what-ifs and fear.

"It’s not my fault I was born with such an ability. And if I possess any limitations, I could just divide the limitations by zero, no?"

He replied, twisting what the Fourth Alternate Version had said as though he had misunderstood.

The Fourth Alternate Version stayed silent for a moment, then shook his head, saying nothing more. If Zero decided to do whatever he wanted, then it had nothing to do with him. He was just merely passing on advice, nothing more.

"Don’t mind the Fourth. I wonder when we began to have a wuss amongst us."

The Fifth Alternate Version stated as he lay in the air like it was a bed, his tone playful as he wore a smile.

"Actually, I have a great idea," the Fifth continued, his hand behind his head as his eyes narrowed.

Ten pairs of eyes stayed on him, telling him to speak already, but the man simply waited for a few seconds as he wanted their curiosity to peak.

After a moment of delay, he decided to speak.

"Since you already have a bunch of skills on your list to create, why don’t you let us work on them with you? After all, we are all as smart and intelligent as you, right?"

He asked, his smile turning into a smirk, then a grin.

"Imagine eleven minds working together, minds of the same level of intelligence and talent. It wouldn’t take seven decades to a century to create and perfect a singular new skill. Just because we might not be able to use these skills doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be able to work on them with you, no?"

He continued without missing a beat, his words seeming no different from a devil’s whisper of temptation into the Original Damian’s ears.

"Besides, you don’t need to expend Astra Energy to keep us here, as we are our own independent existence in a certain way. Besides, you lose nothing by doing this and gain everything instead."

The Fifth stated in finality, his tone as indifferent as ever. His eyes danced between the ten pairs of eyes on him as he took in their expressions and thoughts, and basked in it.

The Original Damian’s eyes flashed. He wouldn’t deny it; he loved the idea. And as the Fifth Alternate Version had said, he had nothing to lose since he spent no Astra Energy keeping them here.

Besides, he hadn’t thought of the idea himself, which went to show how two minds were better than one, let alone eleven minds. The time needed and would be spent on his skills would drastically fall to an unprecedented degree.

If he already had his Alternate Versions, how long would it take to create the Ultimate Skill?

A year? Just a decade instead of seven, perhaps? Five decades?

Besides, them being here meant more security for the Algorith Frontier and the Empire in total, as the Zarethorne Empire had gained ten new Crownstar Life Rankers who stood on this level... well, not that he was going to go around obeying Imperial Orders, as he was simply too powerful to be moved by the edicts.

"No problem."

The Original Damian immediately accepted.

Why wouldn’t he? Unless some other Alternate Version was willing to give him reasons why he shouldn’t, this was the path forward from now on.

The other Alternate Versions didn’t have any objections, as they saw nothing wrong with it.

The Fifth Alternate Version’s eyes turned towards the Tenth, who seemed lost in thought as he floated in the distance.

"If you have something to say, Tenth, just say it."

The Fifth Alternate Version stated calmly, as he wanted to hear what this man had to say.

The Tenth Alternate Version arched an eyebrow, his attention turning towards the other Alternate Versions and Zero.

"Ahhh! It seems you misunderstood, Fifth. The thoughts I’m having have nothing to do with your suggestions, which I believe are excellent, by the way."

He stated, correcting any misunderstanding that the Fifth Alternate Version might have had.
